In the spirit of the holiday season, Kate Faust & Lebeet gift us with some of their favorite songs- reconstructed for new ears. The introductory track, "Close 2 U," revives the classic Carpenters' smash hit. The swirling woodwinds wash into a new landscape for the song as Faust's voice breaks through to a familiar melody. Armed with a bouncing bass line and groovy sax solo, the homage to easy listening melds into something new with lebeet's eletropop/dance production.
Moving forward in time, the duo come to "All I Need," a lesser known but well-loved song from the Radiohead album, In Rainbows. lebeet's production prowess and Faust's vocal range shine through in this track, along with the soaring and beautiful sounds of Aphra. Shifting far away from the song's original slow and deliberate tempo, lebeet employs gritty percussive dance beats that ebb and flow throughout the song but still maintains the heady darkness that makes the song.
Sticking with some 90s superstars, they've included a re-vamped version of "Tired of Sex," which the
duo released earlier this year. The trap style beats mixed with big, billowing chord changes brings humor and style to this Weezer classic. Finally, they bring us back to the 60's with the another favorite from the duo, "The first time ever I saw your face." Written by folk singer Ewan MacColl, it was made famous by Roberta Flack, with her soothing vocals and soft piano. The duo re-imagine this classic with what seems like three separate movements where we hear the track build and move with the lyrics as only Faust can deliver them.
Though the title, "Undercover," and the songs themselves would suggest that this is a "covers" album, it never once feels too familiar. These songs, whether you know of them or not, have been totally changed into something new and exciting for the listener. It's a chance to remember why you love these classic songs, and to discover a way to fall in love with the creative and innovative duo that is Kate Faust & lebeet.

Carpentry
Carpentry is a skilled trade in which the primary work performed is the cutting, shaping and installation of building materials during the construction of buildings, ships, timber bridges, concrete formwork, etc. Carpenters traditionally worked with natural wood and did the rougher work such as framing, but today many other materials are also used and sometimes the finer trades of cabinetmaking and furniture building are considered carpentry. Carpentry in the United States is almost always done by men. With 98.5% of carpenters being male, it was the fourth most male-dominated occupation in the country in 1999, and there were about 1.5 million positions in 2006. Carpenters are usually the first tradesmen on a job and the last to leave. Carpenters normally framed post-and-beam buildings until the end of the 19th century; now this old fashioned carpentry is called timber framing. Carpenters learn this trade by being employed through an apprenticeship training—normally 4 years—and qualify by successfully completing that country's department of labour competency test in places such as the UK, USA and South Africa. It is also common that the skill can be learnt by gaining work experience other than a formal training program, which may be the case in many places.

Rob Cantor
Robert Howard "Rob" Cantor (born August 26, 1983) is an American singer-songwriter and creator of multiple viral videos. He is best known as the yellow-tied vocalist and guitarist of indie rock band Tally Hall.
Cantor is also known for his solo work as a comedy musician and viral video creator, particularly from the song "Shia LaBeouf", in which actor Shia LaBeouf is depicted as a cannibalistic serial killer. His other work has included a solo album titled Not a Trampoline, and another viral video, "29 Celebrity Impressions, 1 Original Song".
Early life
Cantor was born and raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He attended Andover High School, where he met future Tally Hall member Zubin Sedghi and future collaborator Zach Krasman. In 2002, when attending University of Michigan, he formed Tally Hall with Sedghi and musician Andrew Horowitz. He majored in molecular biology, with a minor in nonprofessional music. He graduated in 2005, and turned down a full scholarship to medical school in order to pursue music full-time with Tally Hall.

Electro pop singer and producer Kate Faust has teamed up with Dj and producer lebeet to indulge in nostalgia and re-imagine four very well-loved classics. Their new EP, Undercover, available on iTunes, Spotify and SoundCloud on Saturday, December 26th 2015. https://soundcloud.com/kate-faust/sets/undercover-ep Pre-order on iTunes available now with the single, "All I Need feat. Aphra" for immediate download. In the spirit of the holiday season, Kate Faust & Lebeet gift us with some of their favorite songs- reconstructed for new ears. The introductory track, "Close 2 U," revives the classic Carpenters' smash hit. The swirling woodwinds wash into a new landscape for the song as Faust's voice breaks through to a familiar melody. Armed with a bouncing bass line and groovy sax solo, the homage to easy listening melds into something new with lebeet's eletropop/dance production. Moving forward in time, the duo come to "All I Need," a lesser known but well-loved song from the Radiohead album, In Rainbows. lebeet's production prowess and Faust's vocal range shine through in this track, along with the soaring and beautiful sounds of Aphra. Shifting far away from the song's original slow and deliberate tempo, lebeet employs gritty percussive dance beats that ebb and flow throughout the song but still maintains the heady darkness that makes the song. Sticking with some 90s superstars, they've included a re-vamped version of "Tired of Sex," which the duo released earlier this year. The trap style beats mixed with big, billowing chord changes brings humor and style to this Weezer classic. Finally, they bring us back to the 60's with the another favorite from the duo, "The first time ever I saw your face." Written by folk singer Ewan MacColl, it was made famous by Roberta Flack, with her soothing vocals and soft piano. The duo re-imagine this classic with what seems like three separate movements where we hear the track build and move with the lyrics as only Faust can deliver them. Though the title, "Undercover," and the songs themselves would suggest that this is a "covers" album, it never once feels too familiar. These songs, whether you know of them or not, have been totally changed into something new and exciting for the listener. It's a chance to remember why you love these classic songs, and to discover a way to fall in love with the creative and innovative duo that is Kate Faust & lebeet. -

Electro pop singer and producer Kate Faust has teamed up with Dj and producer lebeet to indulge in nostalgia and re-imagine four very well-loved classics.

In the spirit of the holiday season, Kate Faust & Lebeet gift us with some of their favorite songs- reconstructed for new ears. The introductory track, "Close 2 U," revives the classic Carpenters' smash hit. The swirling woodwinds wash into a new landscape for the song as Faust's voice breaks through to a familiar melody. Armed with a bouncing bass line and groovy sax solo, the homage to easy listening melds into something new with lebeet's eletropop/dance production.
Moving forward in time, the duo come to "All I Need," a lesser known but well-loved song from the Radiohead album, In Rainbows. lebeet's production prowess and Faust's vocal range shine through in this track, along with the soaring and beautiful sounds of Aphra. Shifting far away from the song's original slow and deliberate tempo, lebeet employs gritty percussive dance beats that ebb and flow throughout the song but still maintains the heady darkness that makes the song.
Sticking with some 90s superstars, they've included a re-vamped version of "Tired of Sex," which the
duo released earlier this year. The trap style beats mixed with big, billowing chord changes brings humor and style to this Weezer classic. Finally, they bring us back to the 60's with the another favorite from the duo, "The first time ever I saw your face." Written by folk singer Ewan MacColl, it was made famous by Roberta Flack, with her soothing vocals and soft piano. The duo re-imagine this classic with what seems like three separate movements where we hear the track build and move with the lyrics as only Faust can deliver them.
Though the title, "Undercover," and the songs themselves would suggest that this is a "covers" album, it never once feels too familiar. These songs, whether you know of them or not, have been totally changed into something new and exciting for the listener. It's a chance to remember why you love these classic songs, and to discover a way to fall in love with the creative and innovative duo that is Kate Faust & lebeet.
