Hashire Melos (走れメロス)
También conocida en Latinoamérica como "Corre melos" Es una película clásica de anime que tienes que ver.
Fue dirigida por el legendario dibujante y director japonés Mazaaki Osumi y producida por la compañía TOEI en el año 1992.
Está basada en la leyenda griega de Damon y Fintias. Y aun que este es un remake de otro filme que salió en 1981, la segunda versión (o sea esta) es mucho mejor. Así lo afirmo en una entrevista nada menos que el señor Osamu Tezuka. (Creador de Astroboy.)
Es una de esas películas que si te consideras fanático del anime definitivamente no te la puedes perder, ya que la trama es muy interesante y la historia en general guarda un mensaje profundo.
Si todavía no la has visto, seguramente pronto se convertirá en una de tus favoritas y si ya la viste sin duda te traerá muchos recuerdos agradables.
Yo la vi por primera vez en la televisora mexicana del IPN "once tv" hace ya varios años en un programa llamado "ventana de colores" donde pasaban varias caricaturas extranjeras muy buenas.

During a travel to Syracuse, Melos, a good natured farmer from Messina, accidentally incurs the wrath of the tyrannical king Dionysus. Sentenced to death, Melos pleads with the king asking he first be allowed to first attend his sister's wedding promising to return to have his sentence carried out.
Dionysus agrees with a stipulation: that Melos return within three days else another will die in his place. Seline, the court sculptor, who Melos earlier befriends, voluntarily becomes the human collateral.
Melos is further determined to return and keep his word and begins a race against time that will test his body, spirit and friendship.
Released in Japan in 1992 by Bandai, Run Melos! (Hashire Melos! in Japan) is an animated adaptation of the famous 1940 short story by Osamu Dazai.
Sadly, like so many other animations from Japan, it probably never will see an official release in North America. Although it did see a release in South America at one point it's still very unlikely that this film will ever see another release outside of Japan officially. As such I have uploaded it for those looking to enjoy this obscure and superbly made film.

Milos
Milos or Melos (/ˈmɛlɒsˌ -oʊsˌ ˈmiːlɒs, -loʊs/; Modern Greek: Μήλος [ˈmilos]; Ancient Greek: Μῆλος Melos) is a volcanic Greek island in the Aegean Sea, just north of the Sea of Crete. Milos is the southwesternmost island in the Cyclades group.
The island is famous for the statue of Aphrodite (the "Venus de Milo", now in the Louvre), and also for statues of the Greek god Asclepius (now in the British Museum), the Poseidon and an archaic Apollo in Athens. Milos is a popular tourist destination during the summer. The Municipality of Milos also includes the uninhabited offshore islands of Antimilos and Akradies. The combined land area is 160.147 square kilometres (61.833 sq mi) and the 2011 census population was 4,977 inhabitants.
History
Obsidian from Milos was a commodity as early as 15,000 years ago. Natural glass from Milos was transported over long distances and used for razor sharp "stone tools" well before farming began and later: "There is no early farming village in the Near East that doesn't get obsidian". However the mining of obsidian did not lead to the development of permanent habitation or manufacturing on the island. Instead, those in search of obsidian arrived by boat, beaching it in a suitable cove and cutting pieces of the volcanic glass from the quarries.

También conocida en Latinoamérica como "Corre melos" Es una película clásica de anime que tienes que ver.
Fue dirigida por el legendario dibujante y director japonés Mazaaki Osumi y producida por la compañía TOEI en el año 1992.
Está basada en la leyenda griega de Damon y Fintias. Y aun que este es un remake de otro filme que salió en 1981, la segunda versión (o sea esta) es mucho mejor. Así lo afirmo en una entrevista nada menos que el señor Osamu Tezuka. (Creador de Astroboy.)
Es una de esas películas que si te consideras fanático del anime definitivamente no te la puedes perder, ya que la trama es muy interesante y la historia en general guarda un mensaje profundo.
Si todavía no la has visto, seguramente pronto se convertirá en una de tus favoritas y si ya la viste sin duda te traerá muchos recuerdos agradables.
Yo la vi por primera vez en la televisora mexicana del IPN "once tv" hace ya varios años en un programa llamado "ventana de colores" donde pasaban varias caricaturas extranjeras muy buenas.

During a travel to Syracuse, Melos, a good natured farmer from Messina, accidentally incurs the wrath of the tyrannical king Dionysus. Sentenced to death, Melos pleads with the king asking he first be allowed to first attend his sister's wedding promising to return to have his sentence carried out.
Dionysus agrees with a stipulation: that Melos return within three days else another will die in his place. Seline, the court sculptor, who Melos earlier befriends, voluntarily becomes the human collateral.
Melos is further determined to return and keep his word and begins a race against time that will test his body, spirit and friendship.
Released in Japan in 1992 by Bandai, Run Melos! (Hashire Melos! in Japan) is an animated adaptation of the famous 1940 short story by Osamu Dazai.
Sadly, like so many other animations from Japan, it probably never will see an official release in North America. Although it did see a release in South America at one point it's still very unlikely that this film will ever see another release outside of Japan officially. As such I have uploaded it for those looking to enjoy this obscure and superbly made film.

Greece is a very popular tourist destination in Europe and hopefully this video will give you a taste of what to expect.
I'll bring you to the islands of Santorini, Crete and Milos. We'll also head for the mainland and visit Greece's capital, Athens as well as a small village along the way.

Όλο το νησί της Μήλου βρίσκεται τώρα μέσα σε μία εφαρμογή! Η εφαρμογή Milos Travel Guide είναι ο επίσημος ταξιδιωτικός οδηγός του Δήμου Μήλου για το νησί της Μήλου. Το Milos Travel Guide αποτελεί ένα χρήσιμο εργαλείο για όσους θέλουν να επισκεφθούν τη Μήλο, καθώς επίσης για όσους ενδιαφέρονται να μάθουν πληροφορίες για το όμορφο Αιγαιοπελαγίτικο νησί!
Ο χρήστης ενημερώνεται για τους τρόπους μετακίνησης, τις υπηρεσίες και τα χρήσιμα τηλέφωνα, τα καταλύματα ανά περιοχή, τις παραλίες, τα αξιοθέατα, τη νυχτερινή ζωή, τις εκδηλώσεις που πραγματοποιούνται στο νησί, την τοπική αγορά, και τις δραστηριότητες με τις οποίες έχουν τη δυνατότητα να ασχοληθούν οι επισκέπτες. Επιπλέον, γεμάτη εικόνες, η εφαρμογή Milos Travel Guide, ταξιδεύει τους χρήστες στη Μήλο, μέσα από μία γκάμα φωτογραφιών, βγαλμένες μέσα από το Κυκλαδίτικο γαλανόλευκο τοπίο.

Η θέση της Μήλου μεταξύ της ηπειρωτικής Ελλάδας και της Κρήτης, καθώς και η ύπαρξη του οψιδιανού είχαν σαν αποτέλεσμα τη δημιουργία ενός σημαντικού κέντρου του πρώιμου Αιγαιοπελαγίτικου πολιτισμού. Οψιδιανός της Μήλου έχει βρεθεί σε διάφορες Νεολιθικές τοποθεσίες του Ελλαδικού χώρου, όπως αύτη του Δισπηλιού στην Καστοριά και του Μακρύγιαλου στην Πιερία. Εικάζεται πως γινόταν εξόρυξη του οψιδιανού χωρίς να κατοικείται το νησί τουλάχιστον από το 5.300 π.χ. Ο προϊστορικός οικισμός της Φυλακωπής, κοντά στον σημερινό κόλπο του Παπάφραγκα, στη βορειοανατολική ακτή άνθισε κατά την εποχή του χαλκού. Λέγεται ότι πρώτοι κάτοικοι της Μήλου ήταν Φοίνικες ή Κάρες.
Τα περισσότερα αρχαιολογικά ευρήματα του προϊστορικού οικισμού κοσμούν τις προθήκες του Εθνικού Αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου Αθηνών και του Αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου Μήλου. Γνωστότερο εύρημα η "κυρά" της Φυλακωπής.
Μετά από αυτούς την κατοίκησαν Δωριείς προερχόμενοι από την Σπάρτη, γι' αυτό και οι Μήλιοι είχαν ανέκαθεν φιλικά αισθήματα προς τους Σπαρτιάτες. Οι Μήλιοι έλαβαν μέρος στη ναυμαχία της Σαλαμίνας το 480 π.Χ. και ήταν από τους λίγους νησιώτες που δεν έδωσαν "γην και ύδωρ" στους Πέρσες. Κατά τον Πελοποννησιακό πόλεμο, οι Αθηναίοι κατέκτησαν τη Μήλο το 416 π.Χ. και έσφαξαν όλους τους άρρενες κατοίκους. Στο 5ο βιβλίο της ιστορίας του Θουκυδίδη, αναφέρεται ο Διάλογος Αθηναίων-Μηλίων, στον οποίο περιγράφονται οι άγονες διαπραγματεύσεις μεταξύ των δυο πλευρών πριν την κατάκτηση της Μήλου.
Αργότερα, η Μήλος ακολούθησε την τύχη των άλλων Κυκλάδων κάτω από τους Μακεδόνες, τους Ρωμαίους και στη συνέχεια τους Βυζαντινούς. Στους πρώτους Χριστιανικούς χρόνους είχε αρκετούς Εβραίους κατοίκους και έτσι ο Χριστιανισμός διαδόθηκε αρκετά γρήγορα.
Καθ'όλη τη διάρκεια της Τουρκοκρατίας ήταν ορμητήριο πειρατών.
Από το 1830, με το Πρωτόκολλο του Λονδίνου, η Μήλος, όπως και όλες οι Κυκλάδες περιλήφθηκε στο νεοσύστατο Ελληνικό κράτος.
Στις 9 Μαΐου 1941 επιβλήθηκε η γερμανική κατοχή στο νησί κατ' εξαίρεση σε σχέση με τα υπόλοιπα νησιά των Κυκλάδων που είχαν ενταχθεί στην Ιταλική ζώνη κατοχής. Την Κυριακή 21 Φεβρουαρίου 1943 αγγλικά αεροπλάνα βύθισαν το φορτηγό πλοίο "Άρτεμις¨, που ήταν φορτωμένο με καύσιμα. Στο πλοίο βρήκαν τραγικό θάνατο Έλληνες και Γερμανοί.
