Chailey

Chailey is a village and civil parish in the Lewes District of East Sussex, England. It is located ten miles (16 km) north of Lewes, on the A272 road from Winchester to Canterbury. The Prime Meridian passes just to the east of Chailey.

The parish consists of the settlements: South Chailey (which also incorporates South Common), South Street, Chailey (also known as Chailey Green) and North Chailey (which incorporates the North Common).

The windmill is situated on the Red House Common. There used to be a mill on the South Common in South Chailey, opposite where Chailey School is situated, but it has worn away over time. The parish church is dedicated to St. Peter and is recorded as having been built in 1256. Recently a special service was held to commemorate its 750 years. At one time Chailey had more churches than pubs. The churches being St Peter's, St Martin's (within Chailey Heritage), Chailey Free Church, St John's (now housing in South Common), and St Mary's (now housing in North Common), and the pubs being the King's Head, Five Bells, Horns Lodge and the Swan House. In addition it is believed another chapel was sited near the Bluebell railway.

Birsa Dasgupta

Birsa Dasgupta (Bengali: বিরসা দাশগুপ্ত; born 1979) is an Indian film director based in Tollywood.

Early life and background

Born in Kolkata, his grandfather was noted documentary filmmaker Harisadhan Dasgupta, and grandmother was screenwriter Sonali Dasgupta, who later married Italian film director, Roberto Rossellini. His father is film director Raja Dasgupta, while his mother is television presenter and actress Chaitali Dasgupta. He did his class 10 from South End School and class 12 from G D Birla

Career

Intending to learning film making, Dasgupta left his graduation midway and moved to Mumbai. Here he started assisting in serials and films. Thereafter, he started making fillers and promos for the newly established audiovisual division of publishing house, MiD DAY. In 2003, he became a unit director in Anurag Kashyap's film Black Friday (2004), though the film's release was stalled for further three years as it ran into troubles with Indian Censor Board. Nevertheless, the music video Dasgupta directed for the song Arey Ruk Ja Re Bandeh of the film soundtrack album, performed by band Indian Ocean, got him noticed.

Chailey Heritage School

Chailey Heritage School is a special school located in North Chailey, East Sussex, England. It is owned and operated by the Chailey Heritage Foundation. The school is for children and young adults, aged between 3 and 19, with complex physical disabilities, including visual and hearing impairments, and associated learning difficulties. Some pupils have a profound learning disability in addition to other disabilities (PMLD).

History

Chailey Heritage School was initially set up as a school for disabled children and has since steadily evolved into school for pupils with highly complex combination physical and cognitive issues.

Chailey Heritage Foundation and School was founded in 1903 by Grace Kimmins, who was moved by the many children born "crippled" (as it was termed then) and for whom education was non-existent. The plan was to build a school specifically for these children, in the country where the beauties of life could be experienced, which would educate and teach a craft to ensure independence in adulthood. It would be a school they would be proud to be part of and it would always be there for them in times of need – their Heritage.

Yash Dasgupta

Yash Dasgupta (born 10 October) is an Indian actor and model. Dasgupta is best known for his roles in Bojhena Se Bojhena and Na Aana Is Des Laado.

Dasgupta won the Glam King title in the Unish Kuri Streax Glam Hunt held in Kolkata. He is an entrant to the Calcutta times most desirable men. He shifted his base to Mumbai to pursue career in acting and joined acting school, got his first break as actor in Television Industry. Yash said in an interview with TOI, "I attended an acting workshop at Roshan Taneja's acting school and worked in a few Hindi serials too."

Early life and background

Yash Dasgupta was born to D. K. Dasgupta and Jayati Dasgupta. He is the only child of his parents. In his early childhood, he travelled all over India due to his parent’s transferable work.

He has lived in Delhi, Mumbai among others due to that he attended schools at different places. He is graduated from Madhya Pradesh. His interest in acting came from these formative years, when he was very fond of extracurricular activities.

Gangster

A gangster is a criminal who is a member of a gang. Some gangs are considered to be part of organized crime. Gangsters are also called mobsters, a term derived from mob and the suffix -ster. Gangs provide a level of organization and resources that support much larger and more complex criminal transactions than an individual criminal could achieve. Gangsters have been active for many years in countries around the world.

Some gangsters, such as Al Capone, have become infamous. Gangsters are the subject of many novels and films, particularly from the period between 1920 and 1990.

Contemporary criminals often refer to themselves as "gangsta" in reference to non-rhotic Black American pronunciation.

Gangs

In today's usage, the term "gang" is generally used for a criminal organization, and the term "gangster" invariably describes a criminal. Much has been written on the subject of gangs, although there is no clear consensus about what constitutes a gang or what situations lead to gang formation and evolution. There is agreement that the members of a gang have a sense of common identity and belonging, and this is typically reinforced through shared activities and through visual identifications such as special clothing, tattoos or rings. Some preconceptions may be false. For example, the common view that illegal drug distribution in the United States is largely controlled by gangs has been questioned.
