105th International Labour Conference
From 30 May to 10 June, Government, Employers’ and Workers’ representatives from 187 member States discuss a series of world of work issues including global supply chains; decent work for peace, security and disaster resilience, as well as the impact of the ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization. Delegates will also consider amendments to the Code of the Maritime Labour Convention and review the report of the Director-General on poverty.

With 168 million children still in child labour, all supply chains, from agriculture to manufacturing, services to construction, run the risk that child labour may be present. On 8 June, follow a high-level panel discussion focussing on child labour in supply chains webcast live from the Human Rights Council room of the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

Syrian refugees in Turkey train for better jobs with their host communities
Our impact, their voice
Syrian refugees and members of the host community are taking part in Turkish language courses and vocational training programmes to increase their employability. These programmes in Turkey are being implemented by local partners with support from the ILO to improve livelihoods and decent work opportunities for both communities.
