There are many different definitions of anarchy even among anarchists. The links on this page go to a myriad of anarchist pages. Some I agree with, some I don't. I include them all because that is a part of my belief in Spiritual Anarchy. Find your own beliefs and if they differ from mine, that's OK as long as they do not affect me adversely. Following is a quick, rambling, stream-of-consciousness definition for anarchy that I came up with one day.

anarchy: a system where people of all kinds, with many differing beliefs (as people have) can live together (or not together) creating their own little habitats or cohabiting with others or living alone as hermits unmolested by people who think they should be living a different way. a system where people don't constantly try to foist their beliefs on others, where differing beliefs are respected as long as they don't interfere with someone else's, where people are not ostrasized or blacklisted or persecuted or boycotted because they don't want to live in the kind of society that others thinks they should live in. a place where people can do their own thing and not be looked down upon by others who think things should be done their way, where people can be leaders or followers or NEITHER depending upon their own decisions. a system wherein people are not labeled as socialists or capitalists or commies or trots or libertarians or whatnot, where they are just people being themselves.

I use the term Spiritual Anarchy because these are more than political beliefs to me; they are also my religious and moral beliefs. Some of them I still struggle with, but basically my belief is in the individuality of people. Everyone wants to be the same, look the same, have the same beliefs and ethics, wear the same clothes, eat the same food, believe all the same propaganda that tells them that it is good to be the same, that being different is wrong or bad, churches that tell their congregations to believe in the same god, the same biblical interpretations. I say find your own god, wear whatever you want, and figure out what YOU believe, not what someone else believes. Why do We The People need a bunch of rich, old men with their own agendas to tell us how to spend our money, what is right, what is wrong, when (and with whom) to sleep, what to eat and drink. Don't most people know inherently what is right and wrong, good from bad? People will say, "If there were no government, no laws, everyone would be stealing and murdering." Ask yourself, if there were no more laws tomorrow, would you become a murderer and thief? No? Well, no one else would either. People who murder and steal do these things regardless of laws. Let's get rid of the reasons that people do these things instead. People are intelligent enough to make their own decisions. Let's not be sheep.

Read a cool poem called Grateful Slave

& it's one, two, three
What are we fighting for?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,
Next stop is Vietnam.
& it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain't no time to wonder why,
Whoopee! we're all gonna die!
