    I was hesitant about purchasing a coat that I had not seen in a store before primarily because I wasn't sure if the size was accurate and I wasn't able to compare it's warmth to that of any other brand. I purchased the coat directly from the retailer's website and was shocked when I was charged nearly a a third of the price of the coat for duty / import fees. Though the retailer insisted that this was disclosed during checkout I don't recall seeing the message or I would have purchased it from a retailer in the United States; so be warned, if you purchase it directly from their site you are going to have to pay import / duty fees even though it doesn't state it on your receipt. The size fit perfectly. The coat itself is very stylish looking but if you are looking for warmth, which was a concern of mine, then go with something else. I was really disappointed as to how much cold I still felt, especially in my arms and back. My girlfriend has a Canadian Goose coat and I wore the Parajumpers Kodiak coat and a little later I wore her coat out in 40 degree weather and I was toasty in her coat and felt I needed another layer with the Parajumpers coat. The one design issue I like was how stiff the hood is. Sure it flays open and lays flat but if you don't do this then the hood feels really bulky. The other disappointment is that the coat is actually manufactured in China, not Italy. Customer service for the company needs a lot of improvement as well. If you're looking for a coat that keeps you warm when it gets really cold out then I do not recommend this coat. If you are looking for style over function then this coat (Kodiak) may be right for you.
