In 1998, Hanna acted in How Stella Got Her Groove Back. In 2003, Hanna tried her hand in broadcasting, hosting a Jamaican talk show Our Voices and was a guest presenter on Xtra in the United States. Hence, positioning her as a Member of Parliament for that Constituency. She is one of the youngest women to be elected to the Jamaican Parliament. Creative Production and Training Centre (CPTC) was my early training ground in broadcasting. Many of you would remember me hosting Rappin. The irony is that I have the privilege of being the Minister with responsibility for CPTC, one that I do not take that lightly. After I won the Miss Jamaica World pageant in 1993 Mr. Wycliffe Bennett thought it would be a good idea for CPTC to do a Profile on me. It aired on television before I went to compete at Miss World. So many memories with this profile. Enjoy this video aired some 23 years ago. You will recognize some very prominent Jamaicans. I have had a full life and I am so thankful for all my experiences, all along I have grown up under your watchful eyes.

Former Miss World and Minister of Youth and Culture, Lisa Hanna, took to her Instagram page to address a lingering question by fans as to how she keeps fit in spite her age. She said; 'Get your protein on ...People ask me all the time how after Miss World (23 years ago) I manage,Well the short answer is discipline. I don't drink alcohol ...never have, I have never smoked, I stay away from fried foods, excessive starches, sodas and excessive sugar and I exercise. Now that I'm over 40 it's much harder to stay in control and my body doesn't respond to exercise as fast as it used to so I have to stay focused and change it up constantly. It's a struggle but it's important.'..Queen Lisa, who won her crown in 1993, is the youngest woman elected into office in the Jamaican Parliament. She was als...

I told my baby not to wake me
Not even for a cup of tea
Who could it be now?
Who could it be now?
Who could it be now?
Knocking on the Rastaman's door
I've got to get myself away
And find me a place where I'll be free
City life is getting me down
Even when I sleep I'm wearing a frown
It couldn't be the landlord
Could it be my baby?
I told her not to wake me
Not even for a cup of tea
Who could it be now?
Who could it be now?
Who could it be now?
Knocking on the Rastaman's door
Who could it be now?
Who could it be now?
Who could it be now?
Knocking on the Rastaman's door
I'm in deep meditation
Trying to find myself
Don't need no provocation
It's a minute after twelve
Now who dares to disturb
My tranquility
When I'm meditating
On the Almighty
Who could it be now?
Who could it be now?
Who could it be now?
Knocking on the Rastaman's door
I've got to get myself away
And find me a place where I'll be free
City life is getting me down
Even when I sleep I'm wearing a frown
It couldn't be the landlord
Could it be my baby?
I told her not to wake me
