Cafe Palestine Occupied East Jerusalem: Tales from a Divided City
Café Palestine will host Lior Volinz, a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam researching the pluralization and privatization of security provision in Jerusalem. Lior, who conducted extensive ethnographic research in East Jerusalem, talking about some of the Israeli policies in Occupied East Jerusalem, including residency revocation, the growth of Jewish-Israeli settlements and the unequal and militarized policing used in this divided city. Please remember, the cafe has moved and is now at La Fleur en Papier Doré!

25-year old Social Work student Josefin Herbach from Germany and 23-year old Palestinian Abd Elrahman met doing human rights work in occupied Hebron. They were married on the 11th of November 2016, however her spouse visa is currently being denied by the Israeli Ministry of the Interior. They need to raise funds to challenge this unjust ruling.
