Mclusky Do Dallas is the second album by three-piece Welsh band Mclusky, released in 2002 by Beggars offshoot Too Pure Records. The album's title is a spin on Debbie Does Dallas, a famous 1978 pornographic movie. It was re-released on limited edition white marble and clear orange vinyl as a Record Store Day exclusive in 2012.
Online music magazine Pitchfork Media placed Mclusky Do Dallas at number 94 on their list of the top 200 albums of the 2000s.
Online music magazine Coke Machine Glow placed Mclusky Do Dallas at number 15 on their top 100 Albums of the 2000s.
"To Hell With Good Intentions" was #40 in BBC Radio DJ John Peel's Festive Fifty for 2002.
All songs written by Falkous/Chapple/Harding, except "Chases" by Falkous/Chapple/Harding/Alexander.
Mclusky (often stylized as mclusky), originally known as Best, were a three-piece post-hardcore group formed in Cardiff, Wales. The group consisted of Englishman Andrew "Falco" Falkous (vocals, guitar) from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Jonathan Chapple (bass, vocals) and Jack Egglestone (drums), who replaced previous drummer Matthew Harding in late 2003.
According to the band, they originally formed in 1996 when Falkous and Harding met at the Blackwood Miners Institute, a venue in their home town from which they were both ejected for dressing as miners. The pair met Chapple a short time afterwards at the Reading Festival when they caught him urinating on their tent late in the night.
More realistically it has been suggested that Falkous and Harding met when working together at Anglian Windows, a small double-glazing call centre in Cardiff. They discussed their musical ambitions after a conversation about Reading Festival, Falkous gave Harding a tape of songs he had written on his own, and shortly after they formed a band called Best after early Beatles drummer Pete Best. The original bass player for Best was Geraint Bevan, Harding's old musical comrade from The Derelicts.

mclusky with the classic b-side to 'undress to success', the song of course is 'join the mevolution'. I woke to the sound of eggs (we want our jobs back) They woke to the sound of me (we want our jobs back) Don't give my cousins head (we want our jobs back) And don't point that thing at me (we want our jobs back) As the bored victims of domestic violence Gather by the seashore. Bored. Never mind Russian roll (we want our jobs back) To hell with freeform spazz (we want our jobs back) I'm glad your dog is dead (we want our jobs back) At least we'll get some peace (we want our jobs back) As the bored victims of domestic violence Gather by the seashore. Noses pressed against the glass The horrible truth The horribillerbillerbiller Bored.

Here's a music video I devoted to BBCs British comedy series 'Bottom' starring Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson, features 'Whoyouknow' by the band mclusky. Three whole series of mindless violence crammed into just over 2 minutes. This was by far my favourite Britcom of all time, and I was very fortunate to catch one of their last live acts in Oxford before Rik and Ade stopped working together. Sorry if the picture quality is bad. Video download: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JT4Y7S95

Pretty cool song from the 'Mclusky Do Dallas' sessions.

I'm tired of explaining that it wasn't supposed to be allowed
I'd buy it but it wasn't supposed to be like this
You can't touch me 'cos I'm never over
But your heart's gone the colour of Coca-Cola
I'm laughing 'cos I'm saving for an overdraft
Because I only want a video or photograph
Of that time you knocked my sister over
But your heart's gone the colour of a dustbin
I'm tired of explaining that it wasn't supposed to be allowed
I'd buy it but it wasn't supposed to be like this
You can't touch me 'cos I'm never over
But your heart's gone the colour of Coca-Cola
Your heart's gone the colour of a dustbin
Your heart's gone the colour of Coca-Cola
Rescind yourself as you get older
Younger faces come to steal your fire
