Fellow Youtubers! Welcome! I made the decision to release my entire back catalogue right here on youtube. All the tracks have been painstakingly remastered for this dauting task. I started writing back in 2002, recording on an old Tascam 4 track tape recorder. The sound quality was aweful, as were most of my first compositions! Im not proud of the early stuff, but use my recordings to guage my progress over the years! After a while i got fed up and bought another 4 track, and linked them together to give me 8 tracks, thus furthering my songwriting possibilities! Around 2004/2005 i bought a digital 8 track, which was great, i had all kinds of stuff running in and out of it like dual channel parametric eqs, an alesis drum machine, mic preamps with SM57s. All that stuff is great, but i still couldnt edit anything... everything had to be recorded in one take! In 2006 i took the plunge, and went to london to study studio engineering. later that year i also started a musc theory course, which was the beginning of an ongoing journey down the rabbit hole! how deep do i want to go? In 2007, USB technology finally caught up, and i discovered propellerhead reason. this vastly improved my orchestration , sound quality and production. Back then i was using magix studio generation and midi studio. I tried various others but this one was so easy to use. Then I finally saved enough money to get my very own version of Cubase. Which i still use to this day. Finaly i learned how to edit and mix and master, and how to use midi properly. Only now, having released 3 albums last year alone, have i really started to pay attention to my production. I always put all my energy into the writing side of it, a lot of it tongue-in-cheek (especially in the olden days!), but now i realise its true importance. So, i'm working on it! Now computer technology has evolved to the point that mere mortals such as myself can download plugins and programs that remove the limitations of what is achievable on a tight budget. In total, my entire back catalogue comes to 35 Full Albums. There are more, on minidiscs which have yet to be converted, but i reeckon this collection should get you going! I keep making them, because you keep asking for them! Peace out. Chris Howard.
