Maheshwar is a City in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh state, in central India. It is located 13 km east of National Highway 3 (Agra-Mumbai highway) and 91 km from Indore City.The City lies on the north bank of the Narmada River.
About Narmada Ghat:
The Narmada Ghat at Maheswar was built in the 18th century by the then ruler of Holkar state, Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar. Her daughter-in-law Krishnabai gave special interest in building these impressive royal ghats It is believed that Narmada is the holiest of all the sacred rivers in India. There are also sayings about Ganga taking the form of a black cow at night and coming to cleanse herself in Narmada when she feels unclean.

The video commences by describing this city of Kalidas as the 'City fallen from Heaven'. The video also suggests that ,the number of temples in the city of Ujjan is so large that if one comes here with two catloads of grain and offers only one handful at each temple, one would still run short of offerings. The video also mentions this ancient city which lies on the banks of river Shipra plays hosts to the Simhasth, famously known as the Kumbh Mela, every 12 years. One of the saptapuris, or the seven holy cities of India, it is supposed to grant moksha or liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
The Mahakaleshwar Temple which enshires one of the twelve jyotilingas is one of the most sacred Lord Shiva temples in Ujjan apart from temples like the Harsiddhi and Gopal temples, both built by the Marathas during the 19th century. Also temples like Gadkalika, Mangalnath and Kal Bhairav temple and their significance get a mention in the video, alongwith the destinations like the Jantar Mantar and the Sandipani Ashram.

Khargone
Khargone is a City in the Madhya Pradesh state of in India. It is the administrative headquarters of the Khargone district (formerly known as West Nimar). Several major administrative offices of the Khargone District, including the collectorate, police, telecom and various other government organizations are located in the town. The city is situated at the bank of Kunda river and is famous for its cotton and chilly (chili pepper) production. It is also known for Navgraha Mandir, a temple devoted to the nav grahas (nine planets).
History
According to mythology, the name "Nimar" was derived from the word "Nimarya" (निमार्य), which signifies that the land had belonged to both the Aryas and the non-Arya. However, according to another myth, the word "Nimar" has been associated with the place due to the presence of a large number of Neem trees.(link).
At different times in history, the area was ruled by the Kingdoms of Haihayas (हैहय) of Maheshwar, Parmar of Malwa, Ahirs of Asirgarh, Muslims of Mandav, Peshwa, Mughals and Marathas. After the formation of the state of Madhya Pradesh on 1 November 1956, the district came into existence as West Nimar (पश्चिम निमाड़). Later (on 25 May 1998) due to certain administrative needs, the district was divided between Khargone and Barwani.

The video also suggests that ,the number of temples in the city of Ujjan is so large that if one comes here with two catloads of grain and offers only one handful at each temple, one would still run short of offerings. The video also mentions this ancient city which lies on the banks of river Shipra plays hosts to the Simhasth, famously known as the Kumbh Mela, every 12 years. One of the saptapuris, or the seven holy cities of India, it is supposed to grant moksha or liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
The Mahakaleshwar Temple which enshires one of the twelve jyotilingas is one of the most sacred Lord Shiva temples in Ujjan apart from temples like the Harsiddhi and Gopal temples, both built by the Marathas during the 19th century. Also temples like Gadkalika, Mangalnath and Kal Bhairav temple and their significance get a mention in the video, alongwith the destinations like the Jantar Mantar and the Sandipani Ashram.
