Reward on dacoit Gauri Yadav hiked
Jun 7, 2016, 01.34 AM ISTAllahabad: Police have increased the cash reward on the head of bandit Gauri Yadav from Rs 50,000 to Rs one lakh. Gauri, who has been operating on the UP-MP border, is wanted by police of both the states in connection with 29 criminal cases.
Chitrakoot SP KK Chaudhary said police teams have been intensifying combing operations to catch the dacoit who has recently added sophisticated firearms to his arsenal. Police have been zeroing in on gangs of Gauri Yadav and Babuli Kol operating in Bundelkhand comprising Chitrakoot and Banda districts.
Sources said police teams are trying to choke the route of supply of essentional commodities so that the gang comes out from hiding.
In the past two months, two members of the Yadav gang were arrested near Manikpur forest.
