LEAP aims to end drug prohibition, stop arresting people for using drugs, and instead focus on treatment-centered alternatives to combating drug abuse.
Each year, we reach millions of people through our presentations, media appearances, and online messaging. Our expert perspective is in demand, as people are seriously considering the devastating impact of the war on drugs and the rational alternative legalized regulation presents. Drug policy reform efforts are gaining significant momentum.
Help LEAP build on the momentum.
In 2012, Colorado and Washington became the first places in the world to legalize the sale and possession of cannabis for recreational use, followed by Alaska and Oregon and legalized possession in the District of Columbia in 2014. Several more states are viable contenders to legalize marijuana in the very near future.
Help LEAP reach the people in states considering drug policy reforms.

Volunteer
There are many ways you can volunteer your time to help LEAP end drug prohibition. Below are some examples. To learn more about the variety of volunteer opportunities at LEAP, please contact info@leap.cc.
Volunteer Bookers: LEAP has more than 130 speakers who share LEAP’s message with the world. Our volunteer booking team plays a vital role in making this happen. The team is made up of dedicated and reliable volunteers who arrange for our speakers to share their stories about enforcing failed drug laws. This is an excellent opportunity for talented and committed activists looking for a way to make a real change in drug policy. Volunteers are paired up with a law enforcement speaker and are trained to book the speaker into civic clubs, universities, and other venues. Team members must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and be comfortable working remotely and devoting at least 2-3 hours per week. If you are interested in applying to join the venue booking team, please send a letter of interest and resume to speakers@leap.
Conference Booth Staffers: LEAP attends many conferences throughout the year, and we utilize local volunteers to staff our conference booth. This is a great way to engage one-on-one with people who may not know about LEAP, and to learn directly from our speakers while working side-by-side with them. To become a conference booth staffer, or find out more, please contact info@leap.cc.

Support the Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2013
On February 5, members of Congress introduced a bill that aims to put an end to federal prohibition of marijuana and enable states to pass their own legalization laws and regulations.
Passage of this historic bill would be a huge step in ending drug prohibition, and would put an end to the destructive policy of marijuana prohibition that ties the hands of law enforcers by wasting their time on nonviolent marijuana arrests, preventing them from focusing on solving violent crimes. Please take a moment to write to YOUR representatives and urge them to co-sponsor the Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2013.
