This show wasn't planned, it was suppose to be a day in
London with some friends but I ended up doing one anyway.
Journey starts at
Rugeley Town waiting for the 0728 to
Rugeley Trent Valley which was worked by a 2
Class 170 Turbostars making a 4 coach train, at Rugeley Trent Valley I went through what was written in my
Platform 5 book about Locomotives & Coaching
Stock with
DMUs and EMUs about the
Class 350 Desiro as one departs
Then the 0748 arrives which runs on time for once, a
London Midland Class 350 down to
London Euston, at London Euston, i head over to
London Paddington to visit
Ffestiniog Railway No1
Princess, while
London Underground celebrating
150 years,
Steam on the Ffestiniog Railway also started in the same year, even know Princess was built in
1895, i think it was the rebuilt date but not sure
After a visit to
Paddington, head onto the London Underground to
London Victoria to meet up with some of my friends, already at
Victoria was 365Lance! (
Lance McDonald) then
David Malcom Stafford showed up and running
30 Minutes late
... Lewis Curtis, once everyone arrived, went onto the platform to capture 67005 & 67006 on the
Brighton Belle Experance which departed London Victoria at 1142 for
Brighton
After the railtour left, headed over to
Hanwell to do some filming with
First Great Western Class 43 HSTs and
Class 166 DMUs,
Heathrow Express Class 332,
Heathrow Connect Class 360s and
Mendip Rail Class 59 the to
Clapham Junction for some more filming, David left us a Paddington for his train to
Cardiff and
Lance left us at Clapham Junction for reason explained in his video diary but it was due to problems on the
ECML, he left on
London Overground Class 378, headed back to London Victoria and Lewis left to head home.
Then i headed to
London Blackfriars Tube station to film some D78 and
C69/77 Stock, after that headed on the
Northern Line to
Old Street becuase the night before I had a email from youtube user 1995Stock saying that if i stepped foot on
Moorgate, I get arrested, so I went to Moorgate to see if that was true on a
First Capital Connect Class 313s from Old Street, while i was at Old Street, did bump into 313064 which was the unit i've filmed at Moorgate when the jobsworth started
After a visit to Moorgate, headed to
Euston Square on some
London Underground S8 Stock and walked to London Euston to meet up with Ian, after a bite to eat, it was time to head home, onboard
Virgin Trains Class 390 Pendolino, 390152
Virgin Knight/
Alsion Waters to
Birmingham New Street, this is the 1943 to
Wolverhampton, once at
Birmingham had 8 minutes to find the
2117 to Rugeley Trent Valley which was a Class 170/5 Turbostar, once at Rugeley Town it was time to end the show
