First Hull Trains Class 180s at speed
A short but sweet look at
First Hull Trains' new rolling stock - the less than liked Class180
Diesel Multiple Unit built by Alstom between
2000 and
2001.
These units were originally built for
Hull Trains' sister company,
First Great Western, but were withdrawn on 27
March 2009 - in favour of more Class43 HSTs which the 180s replaced
...
The 180s are longer than the
222s Hull Trains were using - although reliability is still as much of an issue as it was for
FGW.
The open access
operator Grand Central runs 180s on the new
Bradford to
London via
Doncaster service.
