Hey all! So welcome to the second edition of my personal favorite ESC songs from each year. I put so much time and thought into this process, and some of it was easy from the get-go. Hope you enjoy! Please feel free to comment here and give your honest opinions. I do NOT own the rights to these clips, therefore they are all reserved for the respective owners. 1957: You can just see the love that the duo have for each other, and this entry reminds me of a timeless romance. 1958: I love how jazzy this song is, and it's probably Domenico's best entry. 1959: I've been partial to this song since I started being an ESC fan. 1960: I love the melody to this song, and Jacqueline has an excellent, pretty voice. 1961: The harmonies in this entry are sweet. 1962: Ugggh!!! I've recently grown to love Italian operatic voices, and I find this song to be amazing! 1963: I had absolutely LOVED this entry since I first heard it. It stands out from all the other entries that year so it was a well-deserved win. 1964: Beautiful melody and lyrics! 1965: I was originally gonna go with United Kingdom, but after hearing this entry a few times, I was like "This is out of this world!" 1966: Oh Raphael!!! He's got such a strong voice, and the way he sings on stage is amazing! 1967: He keeps getting better and better! One of the best entries Spain has ever sent! 1968: Don't get me wrong, I really like Spain's entry. I just like this one a tiny bit more. 1969: I swear...Italy keeps coming out with great entries. This happens to be one of them. 1970: Again...I was dead set on having UK as my winner, but after hearing Julio's entry...uggh!!! Fell in love! The way it is sung is beautiful. 1971: I really like Monaco's entry, but I think that Germany packs as much of a punch. 1972: I think this is another one of those entries that deserved to win. 1973: Oh my god!! This entry is a masterpiece! I originally thought that Luxembourg or Spain would be my winner. But then I listened to this one...and again, I fell in love! I love how Massimo sings this song with so much feeling. 1974: I know that a lot of people love ABBA, but I find their entry that year very overrated. So...this song I picked...I was originally gonna go with Italy because it was beautiful, but there was something about Germany's entry that kinda struck me. The duo sing very well together, and I was drawn into the melody. 1975: This is such a catchy song! The harmonies are excellent, and the guitars are great! It just makes me happy for some reason. 1976: Spain, why oh why do you keep sending such good entries?? 1977: Another one of those entries that deserved to win... 1978: Israel was actually my winner that year until I listened to this one. 1979: This entry is just so different from all the other songs from that year. So complex and smooth... 1980: No offense to Ireland's entry...it's a good song. It just doesn't compare to this excellent ode to Amsterdam. 1981: I find the UK's entry pretty overrated so when I listened to this one, I thought "THIS is my winner!" 1982: Ahhh yes...this song brings back so many memories of camp! 1983: Same with the above song 1984: Yes, I find Sweden's entry a very good song. However, I like this entry...just a TINY bit more. 1985: I'm gonna be honest...this is such a STRONG year so I had a very difficult time deciding my absolute favorite. At the end, I went with my gut and chose this. I don't know why, but this song makes me feel good. 1986: 1987: Probably one of my favorite winners' songs of all-time! 1988: In my opinion, no other entries that year could beat the incomparable Céline! 1989: I had a tough time deciding between this one and Sweden, but in the end this masterpiece took the cake! 1990: Such a powerful song! 1991: Uggh!!! Beautiful masterpiece! Don't get me wrong, Sweden's entry is very upbeat and happy which I love. I just feel that this entry should have won. 1992: What an amazing song! I love how Mia left everything she had on the stage. 1993: Another song that made me an ESC fan... 1994: Oh my god! This song had brought me to tears a few times before. It's Evridiki's best entry yet! 1995: LOVE!!!! 1996: Every time I listen to this angelic song, it makes me cry. 1997: What a masterpiece! I had loved this song since I first heard it. Italy is just THAT good!! 1998: I originally thought that Croatia would be my winner, but when I first listened to this entry, I fell in love! His voice is amazing! 1999: I feel that there were other entries that deserved to win more than Sweden. This happens to be one of them.
