Review

A review is an evaluation of a publication, service, or company such as a movie (a movie review), video game (video game review), musical composition (music review of a composition or recording), book (book review); a piece of hardware like a car, home appliance, or computer; or an event or performance, such as a live music concert, play, musical theater show, dance show, or art exhibition. In addition to a critical evaluation, the review's author may assign the work a rating to indicate its relative merit. More loosely, an author may review current events, trends, or items in the news. A compilation of reviews may itself be called a review. The New York Review of Books, for instance, is a collection of essays on literature, culture, and current affairs. National Review, founded by William F. Buckley, Jr., is an influential conservative magazine, and Monthly Review is a long-running socialist periodical.

In academia

A peer review is the process by which scholars or scientists assess the work of their colleagues that has been submitted for publication in the scientific or scholarly literature.

Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Michelle Tisdale (born July 2, 1985) is an American actress, singer, and producer. During her childhood, she appeared in more than 100 TV advertisements and had roles in theatre and television shows. In 2004, she was cast as Maddie Fitzpatrick in Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and rose to prominence in 2006 as Sharpay Evans in the television film High School Musical. The High School Musical series included three films and the spin-off Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure (2011). Tisdale's resultant popularity led her to sign a record deal with Warner Bros. Records in 2006. Her debut album, Headstrong (2007), was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and features the single "He Said She Said". Two years later, Tisdale released her second studio album, Guilty Pleasure. In 2013, she announced plans to make music again and confirmed that she has been recording her third studio album.

From 2007 until 2015, Tisdale voiced Candace Flynn in Disney Channel's three-time Emmy Award-winning animated series Phineas and Ferb. The cartoon quickly became the television's most-watched animated series among kids and tweens and has received critical acclaim. Her other roles have included Savannah Monroe in The CW's television drama series Hellcats (2010–11), Jody Sanders in Scary Movie 5 (2013) and the title character of Hub Network's animated series Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch (2013–present), for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2014.

Emily Osment

Emily Jordan Osment (born March 10, 1992) is an American actress, singer, and songwriter born in Los Angeles, California. After working in several television films in her childhood, she gained fame for co-starring as the character Gerti Giggles in Spy Kids Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams and Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. She went on to co-star in the Emmy Award-nominatedDisney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana as Lilly Truscott as well as the series movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie. She also starred as Cassie in R. L. Stine's: The Haunting Hour Volume One: Don't Think About It and the Disney Channel Original Movie, Dadnapped as Melissa Morris.

Osment expanded her repertoire into pop music and alternative/indie rock where she has recorded teen pop hits like "I Don't Think About It", "If I Didn't Have You" alongside her Hannah Montana co-star Mitchel Musso, and "Once Upon a Dream".

Osment entered the world of music recording soundtracks for movie singles and Disney albums. According to an interview at the 2008 Grammys she was writing some songs together with Eve 6. In 2009 she signed with the Wind-up Records label and released "All the Way Up", the first single from her EP debut, All the Right Wrongs, released on October 26, 2009. The EP debuted at the Billboard 200 and her songs reached the top positions on the Canadian Hot 100 and Radio Disney. The EP was promoted within the United States by the 2010 Clap Your Hands Tour.

Katherine Heigl

Katherine Marie Heigl (/ˈhaɪɡəl/; born November 24, 1978) is an American actress, film producer and former fashion model. She played Izzie Stevens on ABC's medical drama Grey's Anatomy from 2005 to 2010, a role for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2007. She has also starred in films, such as Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, The Nut Job, Knocked Up, 27 Dresses, The Ugly Truth, Killers, Life As We Know It and New Year's Eve. She played the main character in the television series State of Affairs from 2014 to 2015.

Heigl started her career as a child model with Wilhelmina Models before turning her attention to acting. She made her debut in the coming-of-age film That Night in 1992. Heigl co-starred as Isabel Evans in the television series Roswell and films, such as My Father the Hero before landing her break-out role in Grey's Anatomy. She has established herself as a cover model appearing on numerous publications including Maxim, Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan. Heigl is married to singer Josh Kelley, with whom she has two adopted daughters.
