The success of Dirty Phonecalls led to his first feature film Large, which was released in UK cinemas in 2002. Shot on a budget of £1.4 million,Large was backed by Film Four and went straight in at number one in the UK video charts. It sold to over twenty countries around the world.
His 2005 short Special People won Best Film at the 2005 Chicago Film Festival, Best Drama at the 2006 Royal Television Society Awards, the BBC New Filmmakers Award and was shortlisted for the 2007 Oscars, BAFTAs and Turner Classic Movies Prize Shorts. The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) is a British drama school situated on Wandsworth Common, South West London and in Wigan, Greater Manchester making it the only Drama UK drama school to offer identical training at two separate institutions across the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1979 by director and actor Sorrel Carson who then directed the school as its Principal until 2001. The Principal of the school is Adrian Hall. ALRA was the first drama school to offer training which included all media; live theatre, film, TV and Radio. ALRA claims to still be the only Drama UK drama school to offer all four media forms throughout the entire three years of training to its acting students.
ALRA is a member of Drama UK, formerly the Conference of Drama Schools (CDS) and National Council for Drama Training (NCDT) and receives funding from the Young People's Learning Agency (YPLA). It is one of only twenty-one schools approved to offer Government funded Dance and Drama Awards, a scheme established to subsidise the cost of professional dance and drama training for the most talented students, at leading institutions.
Downtown Calgary is a region of central Calgary, Alberta. It is not a single neighbourhood per se, but is actually a larger community containing three neighbourhoods and a number of districts.
Generally speaking, downtown Calgary is bordered by 14th Street W. on the west, 3rd Avenue S. and Eau Claire on the north, the Elbow River on the east and the CPR mainline tracks on the south. Within downtown are three city neighbourhoods. They are, the Downtown West End, the Downtown Commercial Core, and the Downtown East Village. The neighbourhoods of Eau Claire to the immediate north, Chinatown to the northeast and the Beltline to the south are usually considered to be part of downtown, but strictly speaking they are not.
The population of Calgary's downtown is still low relative to certain other cities, despite major rejuvenation initiatives and the development of major condominium and apartment projects. The combined population of the three downtown neighbourhoods was 12,455 in 2009; however, this figure does not include the 1,700 that live in Eau Claire, the 1,300 in Chinatown, and the 18,000 that live in the Beltline. The Downtown West End and the Downtown East Village are generally considered to be the downtown's residential neighbourhoods.
Edgar is a commonly used English given name, from an Anglo-Saxon name Eadgar (composed of ead "rich, prosperous" and gar "spear").
Like most Anglo-Saxon names, it fell out of use by the later medieval period; it was, however, revived in the 18th century, and was popularised by its use for a character in Sir Walter Scott's The Bride of Lammermoor (1819).

Special People: A group of street smart wheelchair-using teens are asked to climb a mountain -- literally -- to realize a pretentious director's patronizing notion about their "life struggles" in Justin Edgar's hilarious Special People. The kids brilliantly foil his scheme, cracking funny bones and obliterating stereotypes along the way. (13 minutes)
