Note how the star trails and the parallel lines on Earth get distorted by this effect. The green of the aurora is the same as the green from the airglow seen in other photos, only this is much more intense, spectacular and at a non-uniform elevation ... ....

In the photo, you can see the darker clouds that represent an inner spiral arm of the Milky Way ...
