Jeff Glor (born July 12, 1975) is an American broadcast journalist. He anchors the Sunday edition of CBS Evening News and serves as a special correspondent for CBS This Morning. He also frequently fills in co-hosting CBS This Morning Saturday.
He was the news anchor of CBS News' The Early Show until January 2012. Prior to The Early Show, he served as anchor of the Saturday edition of the CBS Evening News and was a national correspondent for all CBS News broadcasts. Previously, he was a national correspondent for The Early Show from April 2007 until February 2009. In January 2010, Glor was one of the first journalists on the ground in Haiti following that country’s devastating earthquake.
He has reported from Iraq, where he was embedded with U.S. soldiers and conducted a one-on-one interview with Gen. David Petraeus. Glor traveled to China in August 2008 to cover the Beijing Olympic Games and to Vancouver, Canada, in February 2010 to cover the Winter Games. In 2008, Glor was a lead member of the CBS News team that covered Pope Benedict XVI's historic visits to Washington, D.C. and New York City. He served as The Early Show's primary campaign correspondent during the 2008 presidential election. In July 2011, Glor was in Norway to cover the twin terror attacks in and near Oslo.
