Fournier is the Founder and Chairman of Common Good Foundation and Common Good Alliance. Both non-profits are dedicated to the conversion of culture. He is an ordained member of the clergy, a married Deacon of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond, Virginia, where he was ordained in 1996. He and his wife Laurine will soon celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. They have five grown children and seven grandchildren. He has spent decades building principled alliances of Christians across confessional lines to engage the age with the values informed by Christian faith. He views his principal work as standing at the intersection of faith and culture and seeking to infuse the truths offered by the Christian worldview as leaven for the renewal of the culture. The Deacon is also a constitutional and human rights lawyer, as well as a public policy advocate and activist. He served as the first and founding Executive Director of the American Center for Law and Justice in the 1990’S. He has long been active at the intersection of faith and culture and served as co-counsel in four cases at the US Supreme Court. He currently serves as Special Counsel to Liberty Counsel. He served as the Editor in Chief of Catholic Online for many years and continues to contribute to that Network as it expands onto video and integrated media platforms. He is a columnist for the Catholic News Agency and a Senior Contributing writer for THE STREAM, an inter-confessional Christian online periodical. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Philosophy and Theology, a Masters Degree in Sacred Theology from the John Paul II Institute on Marriage and Family, a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh, and is continuing his work toward the PhD in Moral Theology at the Catholic University of America.
