Lipford was born in Marianna, Florida. At the age of 9, Danny got the home improvement bug and bought his first tool, a jigsaw from a mail order catalogue. He moved to Mobile, Alabama in 1975 to attend the University of South Alabama but his side job as a handyman turned into a full-time passion. In 1978, he started his remodeling business, Lipford Construction, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2008.
In 1998, Lipford was hosting a cable show called Remodeling Today in Mobile, Alabama when he was approached by the Times-Mirror magazine Today's Homeowner to expand his show nationally. George Formby, OBE (26 May 1904 – 6 March 1961), born George Hoy Booth, was a British comedy actor, singer-songwriter, and comedian. He sang light, comical songs, accompanying himself on the banjo ukulele or banjolele. He was a major star of stage and screen in the 1930s and 1940s.
Formby was born at 3 Westminster Street, Wigan, Lancashire, as George Hoy Booth. The eldest of seven surviving children, Formby was born blind because of an obstructive caul. His sight was restored during a violent coughing fit or sneeze when he was a few months old.His father James Booth used the stage name George Formby, adopted from the town of Formby, Lancashire. He was one of the great music hall comedians of his day, fully the equal of his son's later success. His father, not wishing him to watch his performances, moved the family to Atherton Road in Hindley. It was from there that the younger Formby was apprenticed as a jockey when he was seven. He rode his first professional race at 10, when he weighed under 4 stone (56 lb; 25 kg).
Danny La Rue, OBE (26 July 1927 – 31 May 2009) was an Irish-born British entertainer known for his singing and drag impersonations.
Born as Daniel Patrick Carroll in Cork City,Ireland in 1927, La Rue was the youngest of either four or five siblings. The family moved to England when he was six and he was brought up at Earnshaw Street in Soho, central London. When the family home was destroyed during the Blitz, his mother, a seamstress, moved her children to Kenn, a Devon village where young Daniel developed an interest in dramatics. “There weren't enough girls so I got the pick of the roles ... My Juliet was very convincing”, La Rue recalled.
He served in the British Royal Navy as a young man following his father's footsteps, and even had a brief career delivering groceries, but he became known for his skill as a female impersonator (or "comic in a frock" as he preferred to be called) in Britain and was featured in theatre productions, and in film, television, and records.
Among his celebrity impersonations were Elizabeth Taylor, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Marlene Dietrich, and Margaret Thatcher. At one point he had his own nightclub in Hanover Square, and also performed on London's West End. In the 1960s he was among Britain's highest-paid entertainers. He used to own the Swan at Streatley hotel in the 1970s. In 1982 he played Dolly Levi in the musical Hello, Dolly!. He also has the distinction of being the only man to take over a woman's role in the West End theatre when he replaced Avis Bunnage in Oh, What a Lovely War! and he was until his death still a regular performer in traditional Christmas pantomime shows in Britain.
I'd spent a lifetime reaching for the stars above
Yearning for the one who I'd always dreamed of
Then you came to me in winter's cold slumber
An angel with eyes glowing embers
My one, my all
I'd do anything for you my love
My heart belongs to you
I concede my soul to you
I will die loving you
Deathlike silence darkened summer's dawn
I'd awakaned rom the dream to find you had gone
To hold an angel, nothing but futility
The more I reach for you, the further you were from me
My one, my all
I'd do anything for you my love
My heart belongs to you
I concede my soul to you
I will die loving you
Oh my love
I don't know how to let you go
If only I could have held you one last time
Before you closed your eyes and spread your wings to fly away
If only you could hear me now, I wish I had the chance to tell you
Everything I never had the chance to say:
Take my heart as you leave for I'll need it no more
I'll crawl the darkness of hell while through heaven you'll soar
May you find peace and happiness into the light transcend
A wraith of midnight
and cigarettes
that stay awake and carry your ...
There were no darkness to surround us
No questions to confound us
No fear tonight my friends
and no regrets.
All I want to make out
All I want to see
are lights across the hilltops;
Lights above the sea.
Fine light that wakes you
through that early sleep
Fine light that lights your
dying to the deep
Makes you feel rich as a rich man don't it
The light here knows that
you own this moment
All I want to make out
All I want to see
are lights across the hilltops;
Lights above the sea.
Fine light that wakes you
through that early sleep
Fine light that lights your
dying to...
Looks like a fine light tonight
That's so bad it looks like
A fine light tonight
That's so bad it looks like
A fine light tonight
That's so bad it looks like
A fine light tonight
that's so bad it
that's so bad it
Many long years ago
Love at first sight
So nice what she had to show
Blond hair hips so nice
[Chorus:]
Made love on through the night
Loved rough hold on tight
Years passed by long nights we shouted
Now it is it's finally out
Wake up in the night
Reaching out she's not there
My sweet why did we fight
Oh so angry she didn't beware
[Chorus II:]
Many long years we hold on tight
It's over now I began the feeling's right
Now he's rich and shouts out loud
I'm happy it's finally out
[Bridge:]
She slammed the door
Couldn't take anymore
He didn't care
Why didn't she beware
[Chorus II]
02- Venality
I'll steal it all away from you
Before you knew what went wrong
All my life, I searched for this lust with undying
Faith in the corruption that beats my blackened heart
Will you be my blood?
Look into my eyes and tell me that
I'm the one you want forever and ever
Will you be my blood?
Look into my eyes and tell me that
I'm the one you want forever and ever
Will you be my blood?
And come to your senses baby
And let me go, just let me go
And I hope you come to your senses before we lose control
And let me go, just let me go
I'll throw on that suit and tie and you'll go crazy
I'll make sure the moods right for my baby
And I don't know anything about this thing called love
But I'll make sure that
I'll steal it all away from you
Before you knew what went wrong
I am venality so take off your clothes
I am venality, I find lust between your legs
And come to your senses baby
And let me go, just let me go
And I hope you come to your senses before we lose control
And let me go, just let me go
I don't want to leave this all to faith and
I just want to steal the blood you have inside
I don't believe in the wicked, just the powerful, as I said I'll
Corrupt, disrupt, this lust, insatiable taste for a laced up
life I'm unchaseable, unbreakable, indescribable
hunger for the blood of the living!
I'll fucking steal this lust
and I'll leave you with the razors to clean this trust
Are you scared of me?
My beautiful, I'd love to taste those lips again
I am terribly in lust with you
I'd love to taste those lips again
And come to your senses baby
And let me go, just let me go
And I hope you come to your senses before we lose control
