The Batmobile /ˈbætməˌbiːl/ is a wheeled, self-powered, armoured fighting motor vehicle, frequently used by the DC Comics superhero Batman for vehicular hot pursuit, transportation, anti-tank warfare and riot control. Kept in the Batcave, which it accesses through a hidden entrance, the heavily armoured, gadget-laden vehicle is used by Batman in his crime-fighting activities.
The Batmobile made its first appearance in Detective Comics #27 (May, 1939). Then a red sedan, it was simply referred to as "his car". Soon it began featuring an increasingly prominent bat motif, typically including distinctive wing-shaped tailfins. Armored in the early stages of Batman's career, it has been customized over time into a sleek street machine, and is the most technologically advanced crime-fighting asset within Batman's arsenal. Depictions of the vehicle has evolved along with the character, with each incarnation reflecting evolving car technologies. Some depictions present the Batmobile as able to be unmanned or remotely operated. It has appeared in every Batman iteration—from comic books and television to films and video games—and has since gone on to be a part of pop culture.
Batman is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and first appeared in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939). Originally named "the Bat-Man", the character is also referred to by such epithets as the "Caped Crusader", the "Dark Knight", and the "World's Greatest Detective".
Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, an American billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, and owner of Wayne Enterprises. After witnessing the murder of his parents as a child, he swore revenge on criminals, an oath tempered by a sense of justice. Wayne trains himself both physically and intellectually and crafts a bat-inspired persona to fight crime. Batman operates in the fictional Gotham City, with assistance from various supporting characters, including his butler Alfred, police commissioner Jim Gordon, and vigilante allies such as Robin. Unlike most superheroes, Batman does not possess any superpowers; rather, he relies on his genius intellect, physical prowess, martial arts abilities, detective skills, science and technology, vast wealth, provocation of fear and intimidation, and an indomitable will. A large assortment of villains make up Batman's rogues gallery, including his archenemy the Joker.

The following is a list of characters that have appeared in the television series The Batman, which ran from September 11, 2004 to March 22, 2008.
Batman Begins is a 2005 superhero film based on the fictional DC Comics character Batman, co-written and directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman, Cillian Murphy, Tom Wilkinson, Rutger Hauer, Ken Watanabe, and Morgan Freeman. The film reboots the Batman film series, telling the origin story of the title character (Bale), from his alter ego Bruce Wayne's initial fear of bats, the death of his parents, his journey to become Batman, and his fight to stop Ra's al Ghul (Watanabe) and the Scarecrow (Murphy) from plunging Gotham City into chaos. It draws inspiration from classic comic book storylines such as The Man Who Falls, Batman: Year One, and Batman: The Long Halloween.
After a series of unsuccessful projects to resurrect Batman on screen following the critical failure and box office disappointment of Batman & Robin (1997), Nolan and David S. Goyer began to work on the film in early 2003 and aimed for a darker and more realistic tone, with humanity and realism being the basis of the film. The goal was to get the audience to care for both Batman and Bruce Wayne. The film, which was primarily shot in Iceland and Chicago, relied on traditional stunts and miniatures – computer-generated imagery was used minimally.

The History of the Batmobile Subscribe http://goo.gl/Q2kKrD It's the Dark Knight’s preferred method of transportation. Debuting in 1941’s Detective Comics #48, Batman’s car quickly became his greatest tool for crime fighting. Originally lacking a name, or any semblance to what it is today, it was bright red, and lacked fins or shields. In fact, it was devoid of the signature “bat” theme, with the small exception of a gold hood ornament. Following its initial appearance, Batman’s ride was overhauled when it appeared in Batman issue #5. Over the course of 70 years, the Batmobile has changed countless times; and will continue to change as long as there are Batman comics, films and merchandise. Join http://www.WatchMojo.com as we take a look at the history and evolution of the Batmobile.

On Friday evening, March 30th 2012, Warner Bros. shot a bonus feature segment for the "Dark Knight Rises" Blu-Ray. For the feature they gathered all 5 Batmobiles from television and movies. I shot this footage using a Canon 5D MKII. Enjoy!
It was an exciting day for me today because SteveC brought round his original 1960s Batmobile toy car. I had one of these as a boy, and I'd forgotten just how many exciting features it had. It'll be hard for you young folks to comprehend that to kids in the '60s, these Batmobile cars seemed to be the very pinnacle of technical wizardry.

http://www.codatronca.it http://www.koba-yashi.co.uk An Animated Web Film to promote Codatronca, a fast super car made in Italy. Director Kobayashi has been contacted by Paolo Spada, one of the owner of SVS (Spada Vetture Sport), around 6 months ago to develop an online campaign for their brand new product: Codatronca, a super car with amazing performances (0-100 Km/h in 3.4 sec.) and a unique design. Kobayashi immediately associated this car to his most loved comics and manga's vehicles, like Kaneda's bike in Akira or the Batmobile. The only difference... Codatronca is real! SVS asked the director to take as much time as needed to craft the best possible experience and gave him complete creative freedom and a high budget for the entire production. Kobayashi wanted to maintain total co...

Anyone that follows FuzzyDave's tumblr [ http://thefuzzydave.tumblr.com/ ] knows what a huge fan of Batman he is. I am too. I still have the Batman cup I used to drink milk out of when I was 10 years old. Through the miracle of the internet I was able to find an exact reproduction of the Batmobile model I made when I was 11 years old. I'll post videos of putting it together over the next month or so to taunt FuzzyDave, if he finds the video of course.
