"Last Thing on My Mind" is a song written and recorded by English girl group Bananarama. The song is featured on their album Please Yourself and was released as the album's second single in the UK in 1992. It was produced by Mike Stock and Pete Waterman, two-thirds of the Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW) trio. Pete Waterman said in 2002 the song was influenced by Mozart. The single met with little success, peaking at number seventy-one in the UK singles chart. However, the song later became a hit when a cover by the band Steps was released as a single in 1998.
The music video features the two girls dressed in suits, ties, and gloves as they meet in a high-class European cafe where they chat, giggle, and whisper into each other's ears. These scenes are intercut with scenes of each of the girls being caressed or hugging a male companion in an upscale bedroom. The video ends with the two girls leaving together in a limousine. There is a lesbian subtext to the storyline due to the intimacy between the girls, their masculine outfits, and the ending with the two girls leaning against each other without their male partners.

Bend Sinister is a progressive-indie band formed in 2001 now based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The band takes its name from a novel by Vladimir Nabokov.
The band formed in 2001 and began playing as many bar shows as they possibly could in their home town of Kelowna, British Columbia. After their move to Vancouver BC, selling out a four-song EP, and acquiring a new drummer and guitarist, the band sought out local producer Shawn Cole to put together what is now their first full-length album Through the Broken City. The band did three consecutive nationwide tours in support of the album.
After gaining experience from the road, Bend Sinister returned to the studio to record a few new songs. These songs included the single "Time Breaks Down", which moved the band into uncharted territory and captured the attention of Distort Entertainment president, Greg Below.
In 2006, Bend Sinister switched labels to newly formed sister division of Distort Entertainment, Distort Light.

There was something in your voice,
That was telling me don't be too sure,
Arousing my suspicions,
I have never felt before,
I thought we had it made,
I thought you'd never go away.
But now you're suddenly like a stranger,
And you're leaving our love behind,
Of all the things I was ever planning for,
This was the last thing on my mind.
When I looked into your eyes,
There was something you weren't telling me,
But in my confusion I just couldn't see,
If there was any doubt,
I thought that we would work it out.
But now you're suddenly like a stranger,
And you're leaving our love behind,
Of all the things I was ever planning for,
This was the last thing on my mind.
There was something in your voice,
That was telling me don't be too sure,
