Vincent Kennedy "Vince" McMahon (born August 24, 1945) is an American professional wrestling promoter, former announcer, commentator, film producer, actor, and retired professional wrestler. Since taking over the company from his father in the 1980s McMahon has always worked in the corporate area of the WWE as well as behind the scenes. He currently serves as the majority owner, chairman, and CEO of the professional wrestling promotion.
McMahon has also occasionally competed as a professional wrestler using a gimmick known by the ring name Mr. McMahon, based on his real life persona. He is a two-time world champion, having won the WWF Championship in 1999 and ECW World Championship in 2007, and is the 1999 Royal Rumble winner. He headlined multiple pay-per-view events from 1999 to 2000 and participated in the main event of WrestleMania 2000, as a cornerman for The Rock. In singles competition, McMahon holds victories over former WWF/E Champions Ric Flair, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Triple H. McMahon continues his backstage and on-screen roles as the main Authority figure along with the rest of the McMahon family.
The XFL's opening game took place on February 3, 2001, one year after the concept of the league was announced, and immediately following the NFL's Super Bowl. The first game was between the New York/New Jersey Hitmen and the Las Vegas Outlaws at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. The game ended with a 19-0 victory for the Outlaws, and was watched on NBC by an estimated 14 million viewers. During the telecast, NBC switched over to the game between the Orlando Rage and the Chicago Enforcers, which was a closer contest than the blowout taking place in Las Vegas. The show had a 9.5 Nielsen rating. Outlaw Paul McCallum got his team on the board first by nailing a 23 yard field goal in the first quarter and the Outlaws never looked back. Not wanting to be outdone by their offense, the hardcore Outl...
The XFL's quirky Scramble, which took the place of the coin toss to determine who would have first choice of possession. This was the very first one, from the first XFL game ever, on February 3, 2001, and matched Jamel Williams of the Las Vegas Outlaws against Donnie Caldwell of the New York/New Jersey Hitmen. Were it not for the potential for career-ending injury (which actually happened to Hassan Shamsid-Deen of the Orlando Rage), this would have been a much more exciting way to start a football game.
The Los Angeles Xtreme won the first and only championship of the XFL, beating the San Francisco Demons 38-6 on April 21, 2001.

The Million Dollar Game was the XFL's championship game at the end of its only season in 2001. At first it had no special name, then was going to be called "The Big Game at the End," but eventually received the name it ended up with because a pot of one million dollars was to be split among the players of the winning team. The game was played on Saturday April 21, 2001 at the LA Memorial Coliseum. The game was between the Western Division champion Los Angeles Xtreme and the western runner-up San Francisco Demons. The Xtreme defeated the Eastern Division runner-up Chicago Enforcers 33-16 in the first round while the Demons beat east champs Orlando Rage 26-25. Orlando had finished the 10-game regular season with the XFL's best record, 8-2. Los Angeles was 7-3 while both Chicago and San Fr...
Weeks 6 of the XFL featured the Las Vegas Outlaws and the undefeated Orlando Rage. By now the ratings were at single digits and it was obvious America had tuned out halfway through the season. In order to boost "ratings" Vince McMahon in his infinite "wisdom" decided to hatch up a stunt that proved to be nothing more than a cheap thrill. He had a cameraman named "Bruno" who was suppose to go into the Orlando Rage cheerleaders locker room and get "whatever" it is that they do in there. Well as you can imagine the NBC censors knew Vince wasn't going to be allowed to show nudity of any kind on network television. It turned out that "Bruno" was knocked out cold after Vince threw him into the door. In the end "Bruno" wound up dreaming about being in the girls locker room. There was a specia...

While the league initially failed, it was successful at creative several innovative production techniques emulated currently by the NFL.

In 1992 Barry also appeared on The Phil Donahue Show along with Murray Hodgson and Tony Cole to voice their concern about sexual harassment in the wrestling industry. Vince McMahon was also on the show to defend himself and the company. Because of his vocal opinions against the WWF and the sexual harassment that is involved, he became blacklisted in the wrestling world. If I lost you
If you only knew
That I would miss you
Like the stars above
If you needed me
You know I'll be right here
'Cause you can count on me
Like the air you breathe
Just keep holding on
You are the
Wonder of my world
I'm somehow lost for words
You are the the life
Within my veins
My love for you remains
In my heart
You are my world
You are my world
When I think of you
Everything
We've been through
There's so much to see
Don't give up on me
Just keep holding on
You are the
Wonder of my world
I'm somehow lost for words
You are the the life
Within my veins
My love for you remains
In my heart
You are my world
You are my world
Never thought
We'd come this far
You know there's
A place for us
All this time
I've seen you you try
So just keep holding on
'Cause you are the
Wonder of my world
I'm somehow lost for words
You are the the life
Within my veins
My love for you remains
In my heart
You are my world
