A round 6.30 p.m. Friday, Deb Wojtkielewicz stood in the parking lot of the feed store she manages in downtown Keene, fastening a pink tutu around her giant black and brown guard dog. The dog, Tippy, didn’t seem to mind. She was more interested in a pale green van that emitted an oink, then a series of frantic squeals ... A breeder keeping 73 dogs in inhumane conditions in Gunnedah, Australia has been fined more than $130,000. It is indeed the age of women in Malayalam cinema. Veteran filmmaker Lenin Rajendran has conceived a novel idea — an anthology of films, each of which will deal with an issue faced by women of Kerala.
