Queen's Guardsman poses for sweet impromptu snap with toddler who's all dressed up as a mini version of him.
The young boy was wearing summer version of a guardsman's uniform complete with red jacket and bearskin before Coldstream Guard beckoned him over for a snap.
A young fan was given the surprise of his life when he went to see Changing the Guard at Windsor Castle and a soldier stopped for a photo.
The tot, dressed in the summer version of a guardsman's uniform complete with red jacket and bearskin, looks in ore as the four soldiers march past.
But what happens next has really amazed the youngster, who saluted as the men went past.
After their official duty was complete, one of the four Coldstream Guards returned and marched towards the little boy.
He then stopped in front of the boy and beckoned him to come towards him

The heat at the Queen's Trooping the Colour ceremony on June 17 was too much for a guardsman. He fainted during the performance at Horse Guards parade with the Royal Family and thousands of spectators watching. Five Guardsmen in total fainted during the ceremony and had to be stretchered off while the others marched on.

A QUEENS guardsman (SCOTS) saw red when a giggling student took the mickey out of him outside a royal palace by mimicking his actions - and went on the ATTACK.
Columbian student Nick Ibarra, 23, began larking about for pal Suzanne Cadosch, 22, who was videoing the armed guard on duty in his bearskin and red tunic.
As the guardsman marched up and down as he stood sentry duty outside St James Palace in front of dozens of tourists, laughing Nick marched alongside him.
He had heard that the famed royal guards never leave their post unless a threat to the royals presents itself. But he got the shock of his life when this one lost his cool and quick marched over to him and clipped him round the back of the head and aimed a boot at him.
Then according to Nick he pushed him away with his SA-80 semi automatic rifle while letting out a furious roar.
Unfortunately Nicks student pal Suzanne was so shocked and scared she stopped videoing the soldiers attack.
She said:I just thought Oh My God hes got a gun and hes going for Nick and he grabbed him and tried to boot him and we were so shocked we just ran away fast.
You often see people pulling faces at the guards and standing beside them for photos and marching along with them but obviously this soldier didnt find it funny.
In hindsight I can understand the soldier losing his cool but it was very frightening indeed she said.
Nick, who is studying English in Oxford, Oxon, said: I felt this huge hand on my collar and managed to avoid a boot up the backside but he was growling like a bear.

I was worried because he had a bayonet on his gun and didnt want that going somewhere painful! He pushed me away with the gun and I just ran for it, he said.
The guardsman was on sentry duty at St James Palace which is the senior Palace of the Sovereign and is where the Princess Royal and Princess Alexandra reside.
The St James Detatchment of The Queens Guard mounts sentry duty there daily and Clarence House where Prince Charles and his sons live is within St Jamess environs.
A Queens guardsman, on being shown the video, said: On one hand you can understand him wanting to put a hobnailed size 12 up the guys backside for taking the p**s.
But on the other hand he will be in hot water for losing his cool when he should have ignored it. He should have gone back into his sentry box and just stood guard.
But he will no doubt feel very satisfied at putting this oik to flight, he said.

The youngster, dressed in the summer version of the Coldstream Guards uniform, complete with bearskin, watches in awe as the Changing of the Guard takes place.
But he looks totally stunned when one of the soldiers marches up to him to pose for a photo, something normally unheard of.

The video, which was shared online by Charanpreet Siing, one of the Guards involved, has been watched by more than a million people in less than 24 hours.
The little boy, called Marshall, was celebrating his birthday when one Coldstream Guards posed for a photo with him.

Guardsman
Guardsman is a rank used instead of private in some military units that serve as the official bodyguard of a sovereign or head of state. It is also used as a generic term for any member of a guards unit of any rank.
Canada
In the Canadian Forces, the rank is used by privates in the Governor General's Foot Guards and the Canadian Grenadier Guards. The rank is considered non-gender specific and therefore applies equally to female soldiers. The rank badge is identical to that of private, a single chevron.
Scandinavia
Guards units in Scandinavia all use the rank. This includes the Danish Army's Gardehusarregimentet (Guard Hussar Regiment) and Den Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Life Guards), the Norwegian Army's Hans Majestet Kongens Garde (His Majesty's Royal Guard), and the Swedish Army's Livgardet (Life Guards).

The Guardsman
The Guardsman is a 1931 film based on the play Testőr by Ferenc Molnár. It stars Alfred Lunt, Lynn Fontanne, Roland Young and ZaSu Pitts. It opens with a stage re-enactment of the final scene of Maxwell Anderson's Elizabeth the Queen, with Fontanne as Elizabeth and Lunt as the Earl of Essex, but otherwise has nothing to do with that play.
The movie was adapted by Ernest Vajda (screenplay) and Claudine West (continuity) and was directed by Sidney Franklin.
Lunt and Fontanne were husband and wife and a celebrated stage acting team. This movie was based upon the roles they had played on Broadway in 1924 and it was their only starring film role together. They were nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Actress in a Leading Role respectively.
Plot
The story revolves around a husband-and-wife acting team. Simply because he is insecure, the husband suspects his wife could be capable of infidelity. The husband disguises himself as a guardsman with a thick accent, woos his wife under his false identity, and ends up seducing her. The couple stays together, and at the end the wife tells the husband that she knew it was him, but played along with the deception.

Windsor Castle
Windsor Castle is a royal residence at Windsor in the English county of Berkshire. The castle is notable for its long association with the English and later British royal family and also for its architecture. The original castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion by William the Conqueror. Since the time of Henry I, it has been used by succeeding monarchs and is the longest-occupied palace in Europe. The castle's lavish, early 19th-century State Apartments are architecturally significant, described by art historian Hugh Roberts as "a superb and unrivalled sequence of rooms widely regarded as the finest and most complete expression of later Georgian taste". The castle includes the 15th-century St George's Chapel, considered by historian John Martin Robinson to be "one of the supreme achievements of English Perpendicular Gothic" design. More than 500 people live and work in Windsor Castle.
Originally designed to protect Norman dominance around the outskirts of London, and to oversee a strategically important part of the River Thames, Windsor Castle was built as a motte and bailey, with three wards surrounding a central mound. Gradually replaced with stone fortifications, the castle withstood a prolonged siege during the First Barons' War at the start of the 13th century. Henry III built a luxurious royal palace within the castle during the middle of the century, and Edward III went further, rebuilding the palace to produce an even grander set of buildings in what would become "the most expensive secular building project of the entire Middle Ages in England". Edward's core design lasted through the Tudor period, during which Henry VIII and Elizabeth I made increasing use of the castle as a royal court and centre for diplomatic entertainment.

Plot: In England, the times are a changing: it's mods and rockers. As the guardsman marched up and down as he stood sentry duty outside St James Palace in front of dozens of tourists, laughing Nick marched alongside him.
He had heard that the famed royal guards never leave their post unless a threat to the royals presents itself. But he got the shock of his life when this one lost his cool and quick marched over to him and clipped him round the back of the head and aimed a boot at him.
Then according to Nick he pushed him away with his SA-80 semi automatic rifle while letting out a furious roar.
Unfortunately Nicks student pal Suzanne was so shocked and scared she stopped videoing the soldiers attack.
She said:I just thought Oh My God hes got a gun and hes going for Nick and he grabbed him and tried to boot him and we were so shocked we just ran away fast.
You often see people pulling faces at the guards and standing beside them for photos and marching along with them but obviously this soldier didnt find it funny.
In hindsight I can understand the soldier losing his cool but it was very frightening indeed she said.
Nick, who is studying English in Oxford, Oxon, said: I felt this huge hand on my collar and managed to avoid a boot up the backside but he was growling like a bear.

I was worried because he had a bayonet on his gun and didnt want that going somewhere painful! He pushed me away with the gun and I just ran for it, he said.
The guardsman was on sentry duty at St James Palace which is the senior Palace of the Sovereign and is where the Princess Royal and Princess Alexandra reside.
The St James Detatchment of The Queens Guard mounts sentry duty there daily and Clarence House where Prince Charles and his sons live is within St Jamess environs.
A Queens guardsman, on being shown the video, said: On one hand you can understand him wanting to put a hobnailed size 12 up the guys backside for taking the p**s.
But on the other hand he will be in hot water for losing his cool when he should have ignored it. He should have gone back into his sentry box and just stood guard.
But he will no doubt feel very satisfied at putting this oik to flight, he said.

The youngster, dressed in the summer version of the Coldstream Guards uniform, complete with bearskin, watches in awe as the Changing of the Guard takes place.
But he looks totally stunned when one of the soldiers marches up to him to pose for a photo, something normally unheard of.
Lovely moment caught on camera as boy salutes
The video, which was shared online by Charanpreet Siing, one of the Guards involved, has been watched by more than a million people in less than 24 hours.
The little boy, called Marshall, was celebrating his birthday when one Coldstream Guards posed for a photo with him.
