At some point of time, all of us must have felt the need of knowing about our history. 21-year-old Sushant Rohilla would have been a fourth year student at Amity Law school, Noida, had he been allowed to give his semester end exams.
Sushant hanged himself to death on 10 August, a step that friends and family say was a result of Amity’s arbitrary system of attendance and detention.
On Tuesday, students and alumni of the college stood outside the gates of the Noida campus demanding justice for Sushant. They want authorities to acknowledge the part they played in the tragedy, and to resign immediately.
What drove this boy to take a step as extreme as this?

Trains passing through Sarai Rohilla Railway Station in Delhi, India.
Delhi Sarai Rohilla railway station, officially known as Delhi Sarai Rohilla railway station, is situated about 4 km from old Delhi railway junction in India. Its station code is DEE. It is managed by Delhi Division of Northern Railway zone. Many trains from Delhi to Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat stop at this station. More than twenty trains including Duronto and AC trains originate at this station.
Earlier all the trains from Sarai Rohilla to Delhi used to terminate at Delhi railway station as the metre gauge tracks ended there. Now the tracks are broad gauge and therefore many trains from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat going north or east of Delhi pass through Sarai Rohilla and continue beyond Old Delhi station.
The station is mainly served by the North Western and North Central Railways trains.

Amity University Noida is under fire after a student of Amity Law School committed suicide due to low attendance. Sushant Rohilla, a student of ALS, third year ended his life on August 10 after apparently being harassed by the college administration and authorities at his Sarojini Nagar residence. His father Jagdish Kumar who is a secretary in Rajya Sabha has slammed authorities for abetting his suicide. Massive protests has broken out , students are staging protests and claiming that it's colleges' autocracy which has claimed sushant's life. Parents too allege foulplay and demand justice.

Rohilla
The Rohilla Pathans (Pashto: روهیله, Urdu: روہیلہ, Hindi: रोहिला), or Rohilla Afghan, is a community of Urdu-speaking people of Pashtun ethnicity, historically found in Rohilkhand, a region in the state of Uttar Pradesh, North India. It forms the largest Pashtun diaspora community in India, and has given its name to the Rohilkhand region. Historically, Pashtun people were refereed to as Afghan, but present-day Indian constitution does not recognize Pathan as being synonymous with Afghan.
The Rohilla Pathans are found all over Uttar Pradesh, but are more concentrated in the Rohilkhand regions of Bareilly, Shahjahanpur and Rampur district. Some members of the Rohilla migrated to Pakistan and settled in Karachi after the independence of Pakistan in 1947. Today they make up 30-35% of the Muhajir community of Sindh. Smaller scattered populations of Rohillas of Afghan descent can be found in Burma and the South American countries of Suriname and Guyana.
Origin
The term Rohilla is derived from the word Roh, meaning mountain, and literally means mountain wind. Roh was the name of the area around Peshawar city, in Pakistan. Yousafzai Pathans especially the Mandarr sub clan living in this valley were also known as Rohillas when they settled the area then known as Katehr. It later became known as Rohil Khand which means the land of the Rohillas. The great majority of Rohillas migrated here between 17th and 18th Century." However, in Uttar Pradesh the term was used for Pashtuns who settled in the Rohilkhand region, or for men serving under Rohilla chiefs.

Trains passing through Sarai Rohilla Railway Station in Delhi, India.
Delhi Sarai Rohilla railway station, officially known as Delhi Sarai Rohilla railway station, is situated about 4 km from old Delhi railway junction in India. Its station code is DEE. It is managed by Delhi Division of Northern Railway zone. Many trains from Delhi to Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat stop at this station. More than twenty trains including Duronto and AC trains originate at this station.
Earlier all the trains from Sarai Rohilla to Delhi used to terminate at Delhi railway station as the metre gauge tracks ended there. Now the tracks are broad gauge and therefore many trains from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat going north or east of Delhi pass through Sarai Rohilla and continue beyond Old Delhi station.
The station is mainly served by the North Western and North Central Railways trains.

Sushant Rohilla, a student of ALS, third year ended his life on August 10 after apparently being harassed by the college administration and authorities at his Sarojini Nagar residence. His father Jagdish Kumar who is a secretary in Rajya Sabha has slammed authorities for abetting his suicide. Massive protests has broken out , students are staging protests and claiming that it's colleges' autocracy which has claimed sushant's life. Parents too allege foulplay and demand justice.
