This presentation explains the process that occurs at practically all large corporations. A process that can cause significant levels of stress as people are sometimes blind to the larger cycles at play.
The process is NORMAL and peoples response to it is also predictable and can be anticipated.
People long to reduce the levels of uncertainty in their life. Hopefully this presentation can help shed some light and help people understand/explain what is happening if their company is going through one of these phases.
Navigating the change well is crucial AND getting the balance right between control and freedom is also critical. This may be THE most difficult thing for executive leadership to do.

SOME CLARIFICATIONS:
- When I say 'decentralize everything', I am referring to the 4 elements mentioned at the end of the video: information, authority, wealth & energy.
- The decentralization of these industries is going to happen whether you like it or not... technology is liberating the individual, but will cause traditional establishments to do whatever they can to maintain centralised control.
- The decentralization of industries such as energy etc. is not an overnight thing - it is generational. We are going to see huge changes occur over the next 40 years, and we must do all we can to keep progressing forward if we have any hope of surviving as a human race by the end of the century.
- The emergence of technologies is going to completely transform how the world functions because 'jobs' will cease to exist like they do now. People currently try to work on projects they are passionate about (volunteering being a great example), but the moment people stop chasing these desires, is when they have to put their hand up and say "sorry, i've now got to pay the bills in whatever way possible." -
Consider what you need 'money' for in today's society? Now imagine a world where everyone is generating their own energy as explained in the video... Energy that could power 3D printers, transport, and other facilities in local and global communities via a grid system. Couldn't 'energy' become the new currency freeing humans to work on the projects in society they wish to do most?

Tech entrepreneur and mathematician Charles Hoskinson says Bitcoin-related technology is about to revolutionise property rights, banking, remote education, private law and crowd-funding for the developing world.
Charles Hoskinson is Chief Executive Officer at Thanatos Holdings, Director at The Bitcoin Education Project, and President at the Hoskinson Content Group LLC.
Charles is a Colorado based technology entrepreneur and mathematician. He attended University of Colorado, Boulder to study analytic number theory in graduate school before moving into cryptography and social network theory.
His professional experience includes work with NoSQL and Bigdata using MongoDB and Hadoop for several data mining projects involving crowdsource research and also development of web spiders. He is the author of several white papers on the design and deployment of low bandwidth prolog based semantical web scraping bots as well as analysis of metamorphic computer viruses through a case study on Zmist.
His current projects focus on evangelism and education for Bitcoin and fully homomorphic encryption schemes.

Decentralization
Decentralization or decentralisation is the process of redistributing or dispersing functions, powers, people or things away from a central location or authority. While centralization, especially in the governmental sphere, is widely studied and practiced, there is no common definition or understanding of decentralization. The meaning of decentralization may vary in part because of the different ways it is applied. Concepts of decentralization have been applied to group dynamics and management science in private businesses and organizations, political science, law and public administration, economics and technology.
History
The word "centralization" came into use in France in 1794 as the post-French Revolution French Directory leadership created a new government structure. The word "decentralization" came into usage in the 1820s. "Centralization" entered written English in the first third of the 1800s; mentions of decentralization also first appear during those years. In the mid-1800s Alexis de Tocqueville wrote that the French Revolution began with "a push towards decentralization...[but became,]in the end, an extension of centralization." In 1863 retired French bureaucrat Maurice Block wrote an article called “Decentralization” for a French journal which reviewed the dynamics of government and bureaucratic centralization and recent French efforts at decentralization of government functions.

This presentation explains the process that occurs at practically all large corporations. A process that can cause significant levels of stress as people are sometimes blind to the larger cycles at play.
The process is NORMAL and peoples response to it is also predictable and can be anticipated.
People long to reduce the levels of uncertainty in their life. Hopefully this presentation can help shed some light and help people understand/explain what is happening if their company is going through one of these phases.
Navigating the change well is crucial AND getting the balance right between control and freedom is also critical. This may be THE most difficult thing for executive leadership to do.

SOME CLARIFICATIONS:
- When I say 'decentralize everything', I am referring to the 4 elements mentioned at the end of the video: information, authority, wealth & energy.
- The decentralization of these industries is going to happen whether you like it or not... technology is liberating the individual, but will cause traditional establishments to do whatever they can to maintain centralised control.
- The decentralization of industries such as energy etc. is not an overnight thing - it is generational. We are going to see huge changes occur over the next 40 years, and we must do all we can to keep progressing forward if we have any hope of surviving as a human race by the end of the century.
- The emergence of technologies is going to completely transform how the world functions because 'jobs' will cease to exist like they do now. People currently try to work on projects they are passionate about (volunteering being a great example), but the moment people stop chasing these desires, is when they have to put their hand up and say "sorry, i've now got to pay the bills in whatever way possible." -
Consider what you need 'money' for in today's society? Now imagine a world where everyone is generating their own energy as explained in the video... Energy that could power 3D printers, transport, and other facilities in local and global communities via a grid system. Couldn't 'energy' become the new currency freeing humans to work on the projects in society they wish to do most?

Tech entrepreneur and mathematician Charles Hoskinson says Bitcoin-related technology is about to revolutionise property rights, banking, remote education, private law and crowd-funding for the developing world.
Charles Hoskinson is Chief Executive Officer at Thanatos Holdings, Director at The Bitcoin Education Project, and President at the Hoskinson Content Group LLC.
Charles is a Colorado based technology entrepreneur and mathematician. He attended University of Colorado, Boulder to study analytic number theory in graduate school before moving into cryptography and social network theory.
His professional experience includes work with NoSQL and Bigdata using MongoDB and Hadoop for several data mining projects involving crowdsource research and also development of web spiders. He is the author of several white papers on the design and deployment of low bandwidth prolog based semantical web scraping bots as well as analysis of metamorphic computer viruses through a case study on Zmist.
His current projects focus on evangelism and education for Bitcoin and fully homomorphic encryption schemes.
