School days have always been the best part of life for every one of us. And why not, these are the most memorable days one can ever have with so many funny and crazy moments. And if you have been a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya school, you will always have these nostalgic and unforgettable moments which you will carry in your heart forever.
1. That moment when you had to sing early morning prayer
“Asatomaa sad gamaya….Tamasomaa jyotirgamaya….Mrityormaa amritam gamaya….”
How can you forget this morning prayer? Did you ever open our eyes in the middle of the prayer just to see if others were really singing? I am sure you did.
2. The four school houses: Raman, Shivaji, Ashoka, and Tagore and the competition among them.
Which one was yours? Remember getting disappointed when you and your best friend were not in the same houses and you wish you were together.
3. We all were pretty excited in extra curricular activities as we called CCA.
Participating in various activities like recitation, dancing and singing competition, debate, sports, and waiting for the result the very next day was a big excitement .
4. Singing “goooood morrrninng sir/madam….” in the same tune when a teacher enters the classroom.
5. That weird feeling when you reach late in the school and stand outside the gate while others are offering prayers in the assembly ground.
6. And do you still remember your ‘crush’ you had in school? We all do.
7. Getting excited and running to our seats when the teacher comes with a bundle of unit test paper.
8. That moment when you requested the teacher to give game class as soon as he/she enters the classroom. And your teacher said NO…!
9. Bunking the mass PT by hiding in all the possible areas and having fear of getting caught by teachers.
We were too small to understand the purpose of exercise.
10. The 30 mins lunch break was never enough. We needed more. And do you remember how we rushed into the classroom not to miss the attendance?
11. The two days annual function was always long awaited.
Staying away from books and enjoying all that beautiful dance performances by students, prize distribution, and eating snacks were such a fun.

To ensure transparency in the process of admissions, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will make admissions to class I online from the new academic year 2016-17. The system will be applicable in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across the country, the decision taken at a recent board meeting, according to media reports. Henceforth, the entire admission process beginning from issue of application to the list of shortlisted applications will be done online. Kendriya Vidyalayas are schools established by Indian Government, having over 1000 branches all over India and also a few abroad. The main purpose is to provide a common education program to the children of government employees who are in transferable jobs to continue with the studies at a different location even in the middle of the term. Currently there are about 1128 KVs and as per media reports, each year around 10 lakh students apply for admissions to KV schools. During the forthcoming academic session, as many as 1.3 to 1.5 lakhs students are likely to be enrolled. KVS is currently working with schools to put the centralised online portal in place.
TOI: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is planning to make its entry level admissions (class I) in all the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) completely online from the 2016-17 academic session. The decision was taken at the last Board of Governors meeting. As per the plan right from application to issuing of the list of the shortlisted candidates will be done online.

Kendriya Vidyalaya's Adoption of New Uniform 2012
Kendriya Vidyalayas Adopt New Uniform
The new uniform for Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan students was released on 2012. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan caters to the educational needs of about 10.7 lakh boys and girls studying in various classes from classes I-XII across the country and abroad. The KVS is completing 50 years and on the eve of its golden jubilee, KVS has introduced its new uniform pattern for the Kendriya Vidayalaya students from the academic session 2012-13.
The present uniform design has been in vogue since the inception of KVS in 1963. The new design is with the view to remain contemporary and to provide a unique identity to its students, keeping in mind the comfort and the cost factors. The new uniform has been designed in collaboration with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The Board of Governors in their 92nd meeting held on 18th May 2012 has approved of the adoption of a new uniform pattern for the KVS as designed by the NIFT, New Delhi.

Sir/Madam,
1. It is a matter of great pride that the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has emerged over the years as a pace setter in the field of school education catering to the needs of about 10.7 lakh boys and girls studying in various classes from classes I-XII across the country and abroad.
2. KVS is completing 50 years of its glorious existence and on the eve of its golden jubilee, KVS would like to introduce its new uniform pattern for the KV students from the academic session 2012-13.
3. The present uniform design has been in vogue since the very inception of KVS in 1963. With the view to remain contemporary and to provide a unique identity to its students, all the same, keeping the comfort, the cost and the availability factors, the new uniform has been designed in collaboration with NIFT, New Delhi. The Board of Governors in their 92nd meeting held on 18th May 2012 has approved of the adoption of a new uniform design for the KVS.
The details of the new uniform Pattern are attached as Annexure-I.
4. It is informed that the photo album of the new uniform design and the swatch file is enclosed for your reference. Further the proto-type of uniforms is also available on the KVS website (www.kvsangathan.nic.in). You may give wide publicity to this matter and inform the parents, students and all other stakeholders orally and in writing. Ample time and guidance may be provided to the parents for getting the uniforms ready.
5. As informed vide circular No.11029/27/2011 KVS(Hq)(Acad.) dt. March 1, 2012, the old and new uniforms may continue to be used simultaneously during the transition period for II to XI. The old ones may be weaned out of use gradually over a period of 2 years i.e. by July 2014. The parents of class I students may be instructed to get the uniform stitched for their wards as per the new uniform design. Students of class XII shall continue with the existing uniform if they so desire as they will be passing out at the end of this academic year.
6. Consequent to the implementation of the new uniform policy, Article 92 (C) of Education (2006 edition) stands amended.
This circular may be widely disseminated amongst all concerned.

To ensure transparency in the process of admissions, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will make admissions to class I online from the new academic year 2016-17. The system will be applicable in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across the country, the decision taken at a recent board meeting, according to media reports. Henceforth, the entire admission process beginning from issue of application to the list of shortlisted applications will be done online. Kendriya Vidyalayas are schools established by Indian Government, having over 1000 branches all over India and also a few abroad. The main purpose is to provide a common education program to the children of government employees who are in transferable jobs to continue with the studies at a different location even in the middle of the term. Currently there are about 1128 KVs and as per media reports, each year around 10 lakh students apply for admissions to KV schools. During the forthcoming academic session, as many as 1.3 to 1.5 lakhs students are likely to be enrolled. KVS is currently working with schools to put the centralised online portal in place. TOI: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is planning to make its entry level admissions (class I) in all the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) completely online from the 2016-17 academic session. Kendriya Vidyalaya's Adoption of New Uniform 2012 Kendriya Vidyalayas Adopt New Uniform The new uniform for Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan students was released on 2012. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan caters to the educational needs of about 10.7 lakh boys and girls studying in various classes from classes I-XII across the country and abroad. The KVS is completing 50 years and on the eve of its golden jubilee, KVS has introduced its new uniform pattern for the Kendriya Vidayalaya students from the academic session 2012-13. The present uniform design has been in vogue since the inception of KVS in 1963. The new design is with the view to remain contemporary and to provide a unique identity to its students, keeping in mind the comfort and the cost factors. The new uniform has been designed in collaboration with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The Board of Governors in their 92nd meeting held on 18th May 2012 has approved of the adoption of a new uniform pattern for the KVS as designed by the NIFT, New Delhi. It is a matter of great pride that the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has emerged over the years as a pace setter in the field of school education catering to the needs of about 10.7 lakh boys and girls studying in various classes from classes I-XII across the country and abroad. 2. KVS is completing 50 years of its glorious existence and on the eve of its golden jubilee, KVS would like to introduce its new uniform pattern for the KV students from the academic session 2012-13. 3. The present uniform design has been in vogue since the very inception of KVS in 1963. With the view to remain contemporary and to provide a unique identity to its students, all the same, keeping the comfort, the cost and the availability factors, the new uniform has been designed in collaboration with NIFT, New Delhi. The Board of Governors in their 92nd meeting held on 18th May 2012 has approved of the adoption of a new uniform design for the KVS. The details of the new uniform Pattern are attached as Annexure-I. 4. It is informed that the photo album of the new uniform design and the swatch file is enclosed for your reference. Further the proto-type of uniforms is also available on the KVS website (www.kvsangathan.nic.in). You may give wide publicity to this matter and inform the parents, students and all other stakeholders orally and in writing. Ample time and guidance may be provided to the parents for getting the uniforms ready. 5. As informed vide circular No.11029/27/2011 KVS(Hq)(Acad.) dt. March 1, 2012, the old and new uniforms may continue to be used simultaneously during the transition period for II to XI. The old ones may be weaned out of use gradually over a period of 2 years i.e. by July 2014. The parents of class I students may be instructed to get the uniform stitched for their wards as per the new uniform design. Students of class XII shall continue with the existing uniform if they so desire as they will be passing out at the end of this academic year. 6. Consequent to the implementation of the new uniform policy, Article 92 (C) of Education (2006 edition) stands amended. This circular may be widely disseminated amongst all concerned. Participating in various activities like recitation, dancing and singing competition, debate, sports, and waiting for the result the very next day was a big excitement .
4. Singing “goooood morrrninng sir/madam….” in the same tune when a teacher enters the classroom.
5. That weird feeling when you reach late in the school and stand outside the gate while others are offering prayers in the assembly ground.
6. And do you still remember your ‘crush’ you had in school? We all do.
7. Getting excited and running to our seats when the teacher comes with a bundle of unit test paper.
8. That moment when you requested the teacher to give game class as soon as he/she enters the classroom. And your teacher said NO…!
9. Bunking the mass PT by hiding in all the possible areas and having fear of getting caught by teachers.
We were too small to understand the purpose of exercise.
10. The 30 mins lunch break was never enough. We needed more. And do you remember how we rushed into the classroom not to miss the attendance?
11. The two days annual function was always long awaited.
Staying away from books and enjoying all that beautiful dance performances by students, prize distribution, and eating snacks were such a fun.

To ensure transparency in the process of admissions, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will make admissions to class I online from the new academic year 2016-17. The system will be applicable in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across the country, the decision taken at a recent board meeting, according to media reports. Henceforth, the entire admission process beginning from issue of application to the list of shortlisted applications will be done online. Kendriya Vidyalayas are schools established by Indian Government, having over 1000 branches all over India and also a few abroad. The main purpose is to provide a common education program to the children of government employees who are in transferable jobs to continue with the studies at a different location even in the middle of the term. Currently there are about 1128 KVs and as per media reports, each year around 10 lakh students apply for admissions to KV schools. During the forthcoming academic session, as many as 1.3 to 1.5 lakhs students are likely to be enrolled. KVS is currently working with schools to put the centralised online portal in place.

The new uniform for Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan students was released on 2012. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan caters to the educational needs of about 10.7 lakh boys and girls studying in various classes from classes I-XII across the country and abroad. The KVS is completing 50 years and on the eve of its golden jubilee, KVS has introduced its new uniform pattern for the Kendriya Vidayalaya students from the academic session 2012-13.
The present uniform design has been in vogue since the inception of KVS in 1963. The new design is with the view to remain contemporary and to provide a unique identity to its students, keeping in mind the comfort and the cost factors. The new uniform has been designed in collaboration with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The Board of Governors in their 92nd meeting held on 18th May 2012 has approved of the adoption of a new uniform pattern for the KVS as designed by the NIFT, New Delhi.

2. KVS is completing 50 years of its glorious existence and on the eve of its golden jubilee, KVS would like to introduce its new uniform pattern for the KV students from the academic session 2012-13.
3. The present uniform design has been in vogue since the very inception of KVS in 1963. With the view to remain contemporary and to provide a unique identity to its students, all the same, keeping the comfort, the cost and the availability factors, the new uniform has been designed in collaboration with NIFT, New Delhi. The Board of Governors in their 92nd meeting held on 18th May 2012 has approved of the adoption of a new uniform design for the KVS.
The details of the new uniform Pattern are attached as Annexure-I.
4. It is informed that the photo album of the new uniform design and the swatch file is enclosed for your reference. Further the proto-type of uniforms is also available on the KVS website (www.kvsangathan.nic.in). You may give wide publicity to this matter and inform the parents, students and all other stakeholders orally and in writing. Ample time and guidance may be provided to the parents for getting the uniforms ready.
5. As informed vide circular No.11029/27/2011 KVS(Hq)(Acad.) dt. March 1, 2012, the old and new uniforms may continue to be used simultaneously during the transition period for II to XI. The old ones may be weaned out of use gradually over a period of 2 years i.e. by July 2014. The parents of class I students may be instructed to get the uniform stitched for their wards as per the new uniform design. Students of class XII shall continue with the existing uniform if they so desire as they will be passing out at the end of this academic year.
6. Consequent to the implementation of the new uniform policy, Article 92 (C) of Education (2006 edition) stands amended.
This circular may be widely disseminated amongst all concerned.
