Bukittinggi
Bukittinggi (Indonesian for "high hill") is the second largest city in West Sumatra, Indonesia, with a population of over 117,000 people and an area of 25.24 km². It is in the Minangkabau Highlands, 90 km by road from the West Sumatran capital city of Padang. The whole area is directly adjacent to the Agam Regency, and is located at 0°18′20″S 100°22′9″E / 0.30556°S 100.36917°E / -0.30556; 100.36917, near the volcanoes Mount Singgalang (inactive) and Mount Marapi (still active). At 930 m above sea level, the city has a cool climate with temperatures between 16.1° to 24.9°C. The city is the birthplace of some of the founders of the Republic of Indonesia, such as Mohammad Hatta and Assaat.
Bukittinggi was formerly known as Fort de Kock and was once dubbed "Parijs van Sumatera". The city was the capital of Indonesia during the Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia (PDRI). Before it became the capital of PDRI, the city was a centre of government, both at the time of the Dutch East Indies and during the Japanese colonial period.

Ultra high frequency
Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequencies in the range between 300 MHz and 3 GHz, also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one decimetre. Radio waves with frequencies above the UHF band fall into the SHF (super-high frequency) or microwave frequency range. Lower frequency signals fall into the VHF (very high frequency) or lower bands. UHF radio waves propagate mainly by line of sight; they are blocked by hills and large buildings although the transmission through building walls is high enough for indoor reception. They are used for television broadcasting, cell phones, satellite communication including GPS, personal radio services including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, walkie-talkies, cordless phones, and numerous other applications.
The IEEE defines the UHF radar band as frequencies between 300 MHz and 1 GHz. Two other IEEE radar bands overlap the ITU UHF band: the L band between 1 and 2 GHz and the S band between 2 and 4 GHz.

West Sumatra
West Sumatra (Indonesian: Sumatera Barat, abbreviated to Sumbar) is a province of Indonesia. It lies on the west coast of the island of Sumatra. The 2010 census recorded its population as 4,846,909, but the latest official estimate for January 2014 shows a population of 5,098,790. Its capital is Padang.
It borders the provinces of North Sumatra (Sumatera Utara) to the north, Riau and Jambi to the east, and Bengkulu to the southeast. It includes the Mentawai Islands off the coast.
Flora and fauna
The province includes large areas of dense tropical forest, which is home to a host of species including: Rafflesia arnoldii (world's largest flower), Sumatran tiger, siamang, Malayan tapir, Sumatran serow, rusa deer, Malayan sun bear, Bornean clouded leopard, and many birds and butterflies.
The province includes two national parks: Siberut National Park and Kerinci Seblat National Park, as well as a number of nature reserves: Rimbo Panti Nature Reserve, Batang Palupuh Nature Reserve, Lembah Anai Nature Reserve, Lembah Harau Nature Reserve, Bung Hatta Grand Forest Park, Beringin Sakti Nature Reserve.

Bukit Peninsula
The Bukit Peninsula (Indonesian:Semenanjung Bukit) is at the southern end of the island of Bali, Indonesia. It is traditionally considered to be the entire area south of Jimbaran beach. Unlike the bulk of the rest of the island, it features a dry, arid and stony landscape. It is administered under Kuta South District. Bukit means 'hill' in Indonesian.
The Indonesian government has encouraged the development of the area — instead of more fertile land — for large upmarket tourist facilities. It is a popular destination for surfers, particularly at Uluwatu.
This area has undergone large scale investment and growth during the early 2000s, partially owing to its proximity to the Ngurah Rai International Airport (the only international one in Bali) and the stunning ocean views from its cliff tops. In 2006 a new golf course (Bali's 4th) started construction. Bukit now hosts international hotels.

Bukit Tinggi - Tourist Attractions in Malaysia
Bukit Tinggi is a small town in the Bentong district of Pahang, Malaysia. This small town is located along Karak Expressway, notable for its famous restaurants that lure visitors coming from Genting Highlands. Bukit Tinggi is just over an hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur City centre and lies some 2,500 feet above sea level. Colmar Tropicale, located in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, is a replica of a collection of buildings from a north-eastern village in France dating back to the 16th Century. The French themed resort was opened in July 2000. It's surrounded by tropical forest land. The theme hotel is made up of eight blocks of architectural wonder, each with its unique style, from its colourful roof tiles to cobblestone ground. The hotel has several outlets, where you can dine in the French way....

Bukit Tinggi is a small town in the Bentong district of Pahang, Malaysia. This small town is located along Karak Expressway, notable for its famous restaurants that lure visitors coming from Genting Highlands.
Bukit Tinggi is just over an hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur City centre and lies some 2,500 feet above sea level.
Colmar Tropicale, located in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, is a replica of a collection of buildings from a north-eastern village in France dating back to the 16th Century. The French themed resort was opened in July 2000. It's surrounded by tropical forest land.
The theme hotel is made up of eight blocks of architectural wonder, each with its unique style, from its colourful roof tiles to cobblestone ground. The hotel has several outlets, where you can dine in the French way. Central to the village is Colmar Square where the aroma of the blooms will tantalise your senses. There are fountains and park benches in the square for relaxation after a hard day's work browsing in the 17 theme shops, or should one wish to take a breather from participating in the various activities. The drawbridge reminiscent of ancient castles, clock tower with an original cuckoo bird clock, and the viewing tower complements the ambience.
Live bands and snake performances entertain the visitors on a stage. A clown juggles balls and pins, rides on his cycle, hops around playing tricks and acting merry. Authentic French food is served from sidewalk cafes and restaurants. The tables are placed strategically around the square so you can enjoy a meal or glass of wine whilst taking in the ambience.

Improper food handling and hygiene at Tesco Bukit Tinggi
This happen at Tesco Bukit Tinggi where the premise is under major renovation. I believe the Mamak restaurant is also effected which have made them to run their business along the walk ways. No proper hand wash area and sink to wash their hands. They were not practising cleanliness & hygiene. I wonder how MPK approve it. If you look closely the workers using their hands to serve food with their bare hands without any hand gloves and with same hands are touching every where (their body, colleagues and...) I wonder how Tesco allows this kind of filthy peoples to run their business within Tesco premise. Have spoken to one of the Tesco manager about it but till now no further action.

This happen at Tesco Bukit Tinggi where the premise is under major renovation. I believe the Mamak restaurant is also effected which have made them to run their business along the walk ways. No proper hand wash area and sink to wash their hands. They were not practising cleanliness & hygiene. I wonder how MPK approve it. If you look closely the workers using their hands to serve food with their bare hands without any hand gloves and with same hands are touching every where (their body, colleagues and...) I wonder how Tesco allows this kind of filthy peoples to run their business within Tesco premise. Have spoken to one of the Tesco manager about it but till now no further action.

This sounds familiar, because most martial art schools in the West have thrown away the underlying philosophies and are teaching a physical sport. As a result, the traditional martial arts are disappearing.
At Silek Tuo Pusako Minang we believe in preserving the authentic martial arts. We think that the old fighting arts can be of value in an modern Western lifestyle. We believe that traditional martial arts, like Silek Tuo have to stay in its orginal form. Therefore, at our school you will learn self-defense the way it is supposed to be.
Silek Tuo is an art of self defense from West Sumatra Indonesia, better known as pencak silat. Silek Tuo literally means “old Silat” and the style is seen as a base of pencak silat in general. Our school is based in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
In a small group you will learn to defend yourself, you will discover the mental and spiritual side of the battle and you will become acquainted with ancient traditions.
