Photographer and filmmaker Shingo Wakagi adapts Banana Yoshimoto’s story from her 1989 compilation of the same name in a spare and elegant style reminiscent of Jun Ichikawa’s Tony Takitani. Sakura Ando shines as Terako, a young woman having an affair with middle-aged Iwanaga (Arata Iura), whose wife is in a coma following a traffic accident. Caught in a depressive dreamlike stasis, Terako sleeps excessively waiting for Iwanaga’s calls following the suicide of her friend (Mitsuki Tanimura), who had the unconventional livelihood of accompanying sleeping strangers in bed for money without sex. An aesthetic delight, Asleep pushes on our understanding of intimacy and pleasure, nudging us to wake up.

On November 25th 1970, a man committed ritual suicide inside the Tokyo headquarters of the Japanese Ministry of Defence, leaving behind a legacy of masterpieces and a controversy that echoes to this day. The man was Yukio Mishima, one of Japan's greatest and most celebrated novelists. With four members of his own private army - the Tatenokai - Mishima had taken the commandant hostage and called upon the assembled military outside the Ministry to overthrow their society and restore the powers of the Emperor. When the soldiers mocked and jeered Mishima, he cut short his speech and withdrew to the commandant's office where he committed seppuku - the samurai warrior's death - tearing open his belly with a ceremonial knife before being beheaded by one of his colleagues.
What was Mishima truly trying to express through his actions? And what did he witness during his final moments?

Music: Sivert Høyem, Slow Blues/Let It All Hang Out Now (Ladies and Gentlemen of the Opposition, 2004).
Most of these photos (that I googled for, of course) are from the Japanese drama "Rich Man, Poor Woman" (2012), which happened to be the first J-drama I ever watched. (I'm so glad I did, or else I wouldn't have known that this man exists!) There are fanvideos about most people, really, but I haven't seen anything like this... so that's why I decided to make it! Enjoy! :)

Arata Iura
Arata Iura (井浦 新, Iura Arata, born September 15, 1974 in Tokyo), formerly better known by his stage name Arata, is a Japanese actor, model and fashion designer.
Biography
Iura co-starred in Yukio Ninagawa's Snakes and Earrings with Yuriko Yoshitaka and Kengo Kora. He appeared in Junji Sakamoto's Strangers in the City.
He portrayed Yukio Mishima in Koji Wakamatsu's 11:25 The Day He Chose His Own Fate.
He also appeared in some of Hirokazu Koreeda's films such as After Life, Distance and Air Doll.

Sakura Ando (安藤 サクラ, Andō Sakura, born February 18, 1986) is a Japanese actress.
Career
Ando won the award for best supporting actress at the 31st Yokohama Film Festival 2010 for Love Exposure, Kuhio taisa and Tsumitoka batsutoka.
She was also nominated for the award for best supporting actress at 4th Asian Film Awards 2010 for A Crowd of Three.
She appeared in Kiyoshi Kurosawa's 2012 television drama Penance.
She has also appeared in films such as The Samurai That Night,Our Homeland, and Petal Dance.

On November 25th 1970, a man committed ritual suicide inside the Tokyo headquarters of the Japanese Ministry of Defence, leaving behind a legacy of masterpieces and a controversy that echoes to this day. The man was Yukio Mishima, one of Japan's greatest and most celebrated novelists. With four members of his own private army - the Tatenokai - Mishima had taken the commandant hostage and called upon the assembled military outside the Ministry to overthrow their society and restore the powers of the Emperor. When the soldiers mocked and jeered Mishima, he cut short his speech and withdrew to the commandant's office where he committed seppuku - the samurai warrior's death - tearing open his belly with a ceremonial knife before being beheaded by one of his colleagues.

In this episode, Kiryu heads off to the Dojima Family HQ to see Dojima himself, however, Kuze doesn't seem to want to let that happen. Oh, boy... After it's all said and done, Kiryu meets a mysterious man.
Before we actually got underway to the story stuff, I started this episode off in front of a shrine. This is where you can trade in your Completion Points (CP) for doing various things to unlock bonuses. Like, making enemies drop more money in fights. You can also find Bob Utsunomiya here, where you can collect DLC items. All DLC, as of this episode, has been free/added automatically.
Also, I would like to point out that I did grind out some upgrades for Kiryu. All the 2,000,000 upgrades for both Brawler and Rush respectively. So, I think around 20 million in all. Didn't take long, don't worry. My sanity is still fine. Money is really easy to come by in this one, because it is used as an upgrade and it becomes even easier later with a certain NPC enemy called Mr. Shakedown. Literally can earn billions off of him. Story wise, money is so easy to come by because at this point in time, the 80's, Japan was in a bit of a boom economically.
I kind of got a little cocky on the fight with Kuze and stayed in "Rush" style longer than I probably should have. Rush is pretty good for his first health bar, aka before he gets fire around him, but after that it seems to be less effective. As such, I took a lot of unneeded damage and used a healing item as insurance. With bosses it's just a matter of watching them and learning what they do and how they will react to things. Having already beaten Kuze on another file, I had a decent-ish understanding. This is still a fresh/semi-blind playthrough though, as this is only the second time I've fought him. Regardless, Kuze is not a hard or challenging fight.
Also, I just want to say, Kuze's minion, Yoneda, is a persistent little bastard. Haha.

•Tetsu Tachibana is voiced by and modeled after Arata Iura
•Kuze's tattoo depicts Enma/Yama, the King of Hell, on his back while the guardians of Hell Gozu (Ox-Head) and Mezu (Horse-Face) adorn his left and right upper arms respectively.

Also, I would like to point out that I did grind out some upgrades for Kiryu. All the 2,000,000 upgrades for both Brawler and Rush respectively. So, I think around 20 million in all. Didn't take long, don't worry. My sanity is still fine. Money is really easy to come by in this one, because it is used as an upgrade and it becomes even easier later with a certain NPC enemy called Mr. Shakedown. Literally can earn billions off of him. Story wise, money is so easy to come by because at this point in time, the 80's, Japan was in a bit of a boom economically.
I kind of got a little cocky on the fight with Kuze and stayed in "Rush" style longer than I probably should have. Rush is pretty good for his first health bar, aka before he gets fire around him, but after that it seems to be less effective. As such, I took a lot of unneeded damage and used a healing item as insurance. With bosses it's just a matter of watching them and learning what they do and how they will react to things. Having already beaten Kuze on another file, I had a decent-ish understanding. This is still a fresh/semi-blind playthrough though, as this is only the second time I've fought him. Regardless, Kuze is not a hard or challenging fight.
Also, I just want to say, Kuze's minion, Yoneda, is a persistent little bastard. Haha.
