Nicholas Brothers - That Old Black Magic (HW Palace 1965)
Aired on February 27, 1965 Hosted by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans The Nicholas Bros perform "That Old Black Magic" (also sang by Sammy Davis Jr, Frank Sinatra, etc). This was the 3rd time the brothers appeared on this show. The last time was November 1964 when they performed "My Kind Of Town" (already posted on my channel), which was staged by Nick Castle, the father of Nick Castle Jr who directed the movie "Tap" (1989). This time Castle is not involved. I think you can see the difference. The Japanese jugglers, introduced as "The Murais", are actually known as their stage name "Somenosuke Sometaro 染之助・染太郎" in Japan. They are real brothers ("Murai 村井" is their real name, btw). You can see their popular routine here - the yonger, Somenosuke Ebiichi 海老一染之助 (1934-) juggles, while the elder, Sometaro Ebiichi 海老一染太郎 (1932-02) emcees. He first appears in John Carpenter's Halloween (1978) as a young boy who murders his older sister, then fifteen years later returns home to murder more teenagers. In the original Halloween, the adult Michael Myers, referred to as The Shape in the closing credits, was portrayed by Nick Castle for most of the film, with Tony Moran and Tommy Lee Wallace substituting in during the final scenes.
