Denise Brown has concluded her testimony at the
OJ Simpson trial with an emotional account of the last hours of her sister -
Nicole Simpson's life.
Brown said
OJ Simpson had a frightening look in his eyes and stared at his ex-wife at a dance recital for the
Simpsons' daughter just hours before
Nicole Brown Simpson was brutally murdered.
Denise Brown told the court that
O.J. Simpson arrived at his daughter's dance recital in a dark mood:
SOUNDBITE:
"He had a very faraway look. It was er
...it was actually, really kind of spooky. It was a frightening look."

O.J. Simpson's defence team, challenging
Brown's testimony, showed the court a home video tape of the football star smiling and picking up his son outside the recital hall.
Another witness, however, told the court that
O.J. was unresponsive and had a vacant look in his eyes when she saw him at the recital. She said he acted completely differently on the video.
SOUNDBITE:
"(
Question: and you saw this up this up in the DA's office on Friday
Well, what I really thought was, "that was an amazing change" (Question: "Is that what you thought"?) (another question)
"I really did, that's right, it amazes me".

Defence lawyer Johnnie Cochran says the video is a key piece of evidence:
SOUNDBITE:
"Because we're able to demonstrate conclusively how Mr.
Simpson appeared on June 12, at about 7:
15 or 7:30. We think it was an important piece of evidence and we're glad we have the video tape."

Brown wept as she described her sister's last hours:
SOUNDBITE:
"(Question: Ms. Brown when you last saw your sister what was her demeanor?)
She was happy. We'd made so many plans. We were going to take the kids on a camping trip, we were going to go to
Yosemite and we were going to a
Club Med, we were going to just do everything with the children."

Denise Brown was not the only person in tears in court on Monday.
SOUNDBITE:
"
Today, we had Denise on the stand weeping and her father in the front row crying. And,
Mrs. Goldman, the mother of
Ronald Goldman also was crying. So it's a pretty tense, pretty emotional atmosphere".

No one knows yet how that emotion will affect the jury.
