Doagh (/ˈdoʊx/ DOHKH; from Irish: Dumhach, meaning "mound") is a village and townland in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is in the Six Mile Water Valley, about two miles south-west of Ballyclare, and had a population of 1,130 people in the 2001 Census. It's known as Doach in Scots.
Traditional houses stand in the village centre but the village has gradually grown and new housing estates have been built on its outskirts.
The first Sunday school in Ireland was alleged to have been held in Doagh on the site where the Methodist Church now stands, although there is no firm evidence to support this claim. The Methodist church was established in 1844.
There are a number of buildings of architectural interest either in or proximate to the village.(Reference Brett, CEB, O'Connell, M. Buildings of County Antrim, Belfast. Ulster Architectural Heritage Society. 1996. ) These include Fisherwick Lodge - a hunting lodge built for the Marquess of Donegall (1805), and Holestone House. Industrial architecture is well represented in some of the remaining mill buildings - the best at nearby Cogry (Reference, McCutcheon, W, A., The Industrial Archaeology of Northern Ireland, Belfast, Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland, 1981).
Need for Speed, also known by its initials NFS, is a racing video game franchise published by Electronic Arts and developed by several studios including EA Black Box, Criterion Games and Ghost Games.
The series released its first title, The Need for Speed in 1994. The title comes from a famous quote from the 1986 film Top Gun. All installments of the series consist of racing cars on various tracks, with several titles including police pursuits in races. Since Need for Speed: High Stakes, the series has also integrated car body customization into gameplay.
Need for Speed is the most successful racing video game series in the world, and one of the most successful video game franchises of all time. Over 150 million copies of games in the series have been sold to date.
In June 2012, following Black Box's restructuring, British developer Criterion Games announced that it was in full control of the Need for Speed franchise. However, in August 2013, Swedish and British developers Ghost Games, Ghost Games UK and Criterion Games joined forces for the foreseeable future of the Need for Speed series. At the time, Ghost Games UK staff consisted of 80% of former Criterion Games employees.

Doagh Famine Village is an outdoor museum that tells the story of life in the area from the Famine back in the 1840s, through the 1900s to the present day. Different to any other tourist attraction in Ireland, the Famine Village depicts life in Ireland as it was, uncommercialised, interdenominational interspersed with humorous anecdotes of Irish life. The Famine Village has a wide array of actual size attractions including original dwellings which were still inhabited little more than 20 years ago. Amongst the attractions that are shown and described by your affable host, local man Pat Doherty, are: - - An Irish Wake - Rural life, food and cures told in a humorous way - Orange Hall - Presbyterian Meeting House - Mass Rock and Hedge School - The Republican Safe House - The Tra...
On Saturday my roommates and I went on a trip to Derry and to the Doagh Famine Village. This is a short compilation of footage that I took while at these places. The first voice you'll hear is of the tour guide in the Doagh Famine Village. The second is our wonderful tour guide in Derry, Martin McCrossan. The city of Derry is torn apart by conflict in the same way as Belfast and hearing someone speak so plainly and boldly about his own circumstance and view of Northern Ireland was incredibly moving. I pray this place will find peace.
The Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland is the best opportunity for a roundtrip at the west coast of the Island. I went on a 4 day roadtrip to the counties of Sligo, Donegal including the peninsula Inishowen to experience the northwest.
