INS Vikramaditya is the Indian Navy's largest short take-off, but assisted recovery (STOBAR) aircraft carrier and warship converted from the Russian Navy's decommissioned Admiral Gorshkov vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) missile cruiser carrier. INS Vikramaditya was commissioned into service in November 2013.
The warship has been extensively refurbished with new propulsion systems, hull sections, sensors and flight deck. It was operationally deployed with full complement of MiG-29 aircraft in May 2014.
The vessel can carry more than 30 long-range multi-role fighters with anti-ship missiles, air-to-air missiles, guided bombs and rockets. The aircraft aboard the carrier include MiG 29K / Sea Harrier combat aircraft, Kamov 31 radar picket Airborne Early Warning (AEW) helicopter, Kamov 28 naval helicopter, Sea King helicopter, ALH-Dhruv, and Chetak helicopter.

India entered into negotiations with Russia for the acquisition of Admiral Gorshkov aircraft carrier in 1994 and signed a memorandum of understanding in December 1998. The Union Government of India and the Federation of Russia signed an inter-governmental agreement for the acquisition in October 2000.
In January 2004, India signed a $1.5bn deal with Russia for the modernisation of Admiral Gorshkov and delivery of 12 single-seat MiG-29K and four two-seat MiG-29KUB aircraft. The refurbishment works were commenced at the FSUE Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk, Russia, in April 2004. The cost for repair and refit of the carrier, spares, infrastructure augmentation and documentation was estimated to be $974m. The modernised warship was initially scheduled to be delivered by August 2008 but was delayed due to cost overruns.
The two countries reached an agreement on the final delivery and entire cost of the upgraded warship in December 2009. The deal was finalised in March 2010, the cost was fixed at $2.33bn and delivery was scheduled for December 2012.
The overhaul was completed by March 2012 and the first sea trials began in June 2012. The delivery was however delayed again due to defects encountered in boilers and the need for replacement of additional electrical cables.
The modernised carrier completed final sea trials in the White Sea in July 2013 and aviation trials in November 2013. The INS Vikramaditya will be integrated with close in weapon system (CIWS) and Barak 8 long-range air-defence system (LR-SAM) between 2015 and 2017.
INS Vikramaditya design and features
The refurbished aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya is equipped with 234 new hull sections constructed using 2,500t of steel. It has an overall length of 284m, a maximum beam of 60m, height of about 60m and a displacement of 44,500t.
The warship features 22 decks and 2,500 compartments, of which 1,750 were completely re-built. It can carry more than 1,600 personnel including crew. Sponsons are installed to increase the breadth at the flight deck.
The modernised ship is also equipped with flight deck lighting systems, new AC plants, refrigeration plants, 14° sky jump, 30m wide arrester gears, three restraining gears, and two reverse osmosis plants for producing 400t of fresh water per day.
The modifications also included replacement of 2,300km of old electrical cables with new cables, upgrades to bulbous bow, and replacement of distilling plants. The aft aircraft lift and ammunition lifts were also upgraded.
Sensors onboard the Indian aircraft carrier
The re-equipped superstructure of the Vikramaditya houses state-of-the-art launch and recovery systems, long-range air surveillance radars and advanced electronic warfare suite.
Propulsion and performance
The INS Vikramaditya is powered by eight new generation boilers, which produce a total power of 180,000shp driving four huge propellers. Each boiler generates 100tph of steam at a very high pressure of 64bar. The ship also employs six turbo alternators and six diesel alternators, which produce a total power of 18MW.
The warship can carry more than 8,000t of low sulphur high speed diesel. It has a maximum speed of over 30kt and can attain a maximum range of 7,000nmi. It can endure at sea up to 45 days.

The navy looked at equipping the carrier with the E-2C Hawkeye, but decided not to. In 2009, Northrop Grumman offered the advanced E-2D Hawkeye to the Indian Navy.

The Indian Navy (IN; Hindi: भारतीय नौ सेना (Devanāgarī), Bhāratīya Nau Senā (Latin)) is the naval branch of the armed forces of India. Vikramaditya (IAST: Vikramāditya) was a legendary emperor from ancient India. He is characterised as the ideal king, known for his generosity, courage, and patronage of scholars. There are hundreds of legends about Vikramaditya, including the ones in Baital Pachisi and Singhasan Battisi. Most of the legends present him as a universal ruler with his capital at Ujjain (Pataliputra or Pratishthana in a few stories).
The name of the king means "the Sun of Valour" (vikrama means "valour" and aditya means "sun"). He is also known as Vikrama, Bikramjit and Vikramarka (arka also means "sun"). Some legends also describe him as a liberator of India from mlechchha invaders; the invaders are identified as Shakas in most of these tales leading to the king also being known by the epithet, Shakari (IAST: Śakāri; "enemy of the Shakas").
According to the popular tradition, Vikramaditya started the Vikrama Samvat era in 57 BCE, after defeating the Shakas. For this reason, those who believe him to be based on a distinct historical figure place him around the 1st century BCE. However, this era is mentioned as "Vikrama Samvat" only after the 9th century CE. Other scholars argue that that Vikramaditya is a mythical character as several of the legends about him are fantastic in nature. "Vikramaditya" was a common title adopted by several Indian kings, and it is possible that the various Vikramaditya legends are embellished accounts of different kings, particularly Chandragupta II.

The Union Government of India and the Federation of Russia signed an inter-governmental agreement for the acquisition in October 2000. In January 2004, India signed a $1.5bn deal with Russia for the modernisation of Admiral Gorshkov and delivery of 12 single-seat MiG-29K and four two-seat MiG-29KUB aircraft. The refurbishment works were commenced at the FSUE Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk, Russia, in April 2004. The cost for repair and refit of the carrier, spares, infrastructure augmentation and documentation was estimated to be $974m. The modernised warship was initially scheduled to be delivered by August 2008 but was delayed due to cost overruns. The two countries reached an agreement on the final delivery and entire cost of the upgraded warship in December 2009. The deal was finalised in March 2010, the cost was fixed at $2.33bn and delivery was scheduled for December 2012. The overhaul was completed by March 2012 and the first sea trials began in June 2012. The delivery was however delayed again due to defects encountered in boilers and the need for replacement of additional electrical cables. The modernised carrier completed final sea trials in the White Sea in July 2013 and aviation trials in November 2013. My target audience are Indian average people from age 20-35years who are also the audience of bollywood. The beautiful and aesthetic description of the meteorological information and beauty of India in form of a folk art, will instill them with cultural pride and awareness and encourage them to learn more about classic literature. -

INS Vikramaditya design and features
The refurbished aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya is equipped with 234 new hull sections constructed using 2,500t of steel. It has an overall length of 284m, a maximum beam of 60m, height of about 60m and a displacement of 44,500t.
The warship features 22 decks and 2,500 compartments, of which 1,750 were completely re-built. It can carry more than 1,600 personnel including crew. Sponsons are installed to increase the breadth at the flight deck.
The modernised ship is also equipped with flight deck lighting systems, new AC plants, refrigeration plants, 14° sky jump, 30m wide arrester gears, three restraining gears, and two reverse osmosis plants for producing 400t of fresh water per day.
The modifications also included replacement of 2,300km of old electrical cables with new cables, upgrades to bulbous bow, and replacement of distilling plants. The aft aircraft lift and ammunition lifts were also upgraded.
Sensors onboard the Indian aircraft carrier
The re-equipped superstructure of the Vikramaditya houses state-of-the-art launch and recovery systems, long-range air surveillance radars and advanced electronic warfare suite.
Propulsion and performance
The INS Vikramaditya is powered by eight new generation boilers, which produce a total power of 180,000shp driving four huge propellers. Each boiler generates 100tph of steam at a very high pressure of 64bar. The ship also employs six turbo alternators and six diesel alternators, which produce a total power of 18MW.
The warship can carry more than 8,000t of low sulphur high speed diesel. It has a maximum speed of over 30kt and can attain a maximum range of 7,000nmi. It can endure at sea up to 45 days.

INS Vikramaditya is the Indian Navy's largest short take-off, but assisted recovery (STOBAR) aircraft carrier and warship converted from the Russian Navy's decommissioned Admiral Gorshkov vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) missile cruiser carrier. INS Vikramaditya was commissioned into service in November 2013.
The warship has been extensively refurbished with new propulsion systems, hull sections, sensors and flight deck. It was operationally deployed with full complement of MiG-29 aircraft in May 2014.
The vessel can carry more than 30 long-range multi-role fighters with anti-ship missiles, air-to-air missiles, guided bombs and rockets. The aircraft aboard the carrier include MiG 29K / Sea Harrier combat aircraft, Kamov 31 radar picket Airborne Early Warning (AEW) helicopter, Kamov 28 naval helicopter, Sea King helicopter, ALH-Dhruv, and Chetak helicopter.
INS Vikramaditya project background and details
India entered into negotiations with Russia for the acquisition of Admiral Gorshkov aircraft carrier in 1994 and signed a memorandum of understanding in December 1998. The Union Government of India and the Federation of Russia signed an inter-governmental agreement for the acquisition in October 2000.
In January 2004, India signed a $1.5bn deal with Russia for the modernisation of Admiral Gorshkov and delivery of 12 single-seat MiG-29K and four two-seat MiG-29KUB aircraft. The refurbishment works were commenced at the FSUE Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk, Russia, in April 2004. The cost for repair and refit of the carrier, spares, infrastructure augmentation and documentation was estimated to be $974m. The modernised warship was initially scheduled to be delivered by August 2008 but was delayed due to cost overruns.
The two countries reached an agreement on the final delivery and entire cost of the upgraded warship in December 2009. The deal was finalised in March 2010, the cost was fixed at $2.33bn and delivery was scheduled for December 2012.
The overhaul was completed by March 2012 and the first sea trials began in June 2012. The delivery was however delayed again due to defects encountered in boilers and the need for replacement of additional electrical cables.
The modernised carrier completed final sea trials in the White Sea in July 2013 and aviation trials in November 2013. The INS Vikramaditya will be integrated with close in weapon system (CIWS) and Barak 8 long-range air-defence system (LR-SAM) between 2015 and 2017.
INS Vikramaditya design and features
The refurbished aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya is equipped with 234 new hull sections constructed using 2,500t of steel. It has an overall length of 284m, a maximum beam of 60m, height of about 60m and a displacement of 44,500t.
The warship features 22 decks and 2,500 compartments, of which 1,750 were completely re-built. It can carry more than 1,600 personnel including crew. Sponsons are installed to increase the breadth at the flight deck.
The modernised ship is also equipped with flight deck lighting systems, new AC plants, refrigeration plants, 14° sky jump, 30m wide arrester gears, three restraining gears, and two reverse osmosis plants for producing 400t of fresh water per day.
The modifications also included replacement of 2,300km of old electrical cables with new cables, upgrades to bulbous bow, and replacement of distilling plants. The aft aircraft lift and ammunition lifts were also upgraded.
Sensors onboard the Indian aircraft carrier
The re-equipped superstructure of the Vikramaditya houses state-of-the-art launch and recovery systems, long-range air surveillance radars and advanced electronic warfare suite.
Propulsion and performance
The INS Vikramaditya is powered by eight new generation boilers, which produce a total power of 180,000shp driving four huge propellers. Each boiler generates 100tph of steam at a very high pressure of 64bar. The ship also employs six turbo alternators and six diesel alternators, which produce a total power of 18MW.
The warship can carry more than 8,000t of low sulphur high speed diesel. It has a maximum speed of over 30kt and can attain a maximum range of 7,000nmi. It can endure at sea up to 45 days.

This is a video I made after uncovering quite a lot of facts and evidences that likely prove that Islam worships an ancient Vedic Pagan God which it borrowed from Hindus while Bhaarat (Ancient India) under the Great King Vikramaditya ruled over Aravasthan (Arabia), before the reign of the Revered Prophet Mohammad.

This movie is a historical journey from attachment to attainment.
Description
The importance of the Bhartrihari traya (three) Shataka is nothing less than
Ramayana, Geeta or Mahabharata. This Shatak unites the complex knots of
life and directly captivate the human heart. People could feel divine acquiring
inspiration from the Shataka. One can seldom find anything comparable to
Bhartrihari Shatak, especially with relation to philosophy of life. The Vairagya
Shataka, Neeti Shataka and Shringar Shataka are related to spirituality,
social life and personal life respectively. But on the whole the benefits of this
Shataka encompass every sphere of life. The ultimate aim of human life is
attainment of the state of bliss, which is impossible until the mind is vagrant,
aimless and instable. It is because of this reason that one needs love and
eroticism in youth hood. Every person is endowed with some aesthetic sense.
Detachment is simply impossible without aesthetic sense. The philosophy of
Satyam Shivam Sundaram is rightly based on the above-mentioned concept.
What is true, that only is welfare-oriented and what is welfare-oriented
is undoubtedly beautiful. Shringaar adheres in totality to this
concept. Man attains the highest state of bliss eventually, only after he initially
treads on the path of beauty, understands the concept of morality and finally
renounces desire, hatred, sensual-pleasure etc.
Plot Outline
Bhartrihari was the king of Malwa whose capital city was Ujjain. The famous
emperor Vikramaditya was the younger stepbrother of king Bhartrihari.
After being throne as a king, Bhartrihari became so physically attached to
his younger wife Pingla that he
spent most of the time with her. Vikramaditya tried to make him realize his
foolishness, but all in vain. On the contrary on the command of Queen Pingala,
Bhartrihari, threw Vikramaditya out of the city. So does the story goes that
Bhartrihari got such a fruit from a Monk that would increase THE YOUTH
PERIOD in his life span. The king did not eat the fruit himself but gave it to his
beloved youngest Queen Pingla, because he was madly obsessed with her. The
Queen took the fruit and pretended that she was very happy and said that she
would eat the fruit after having a bath in the full moon nightas prescribed by
the said Monk. The king agreed to this and happily returned. The youngest
Queen was in love with a young, well built, brave horse keeper / slave
Adhirath. She gave the fruit to him. Adhirath was in love with Nagar Vadhu
Lavanya. He presented this fruit in turn to her...

The refurbishment works were commenced at the FSUE Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk, Russia, in April 2004. The cost for repair and refit of the carrier, spares, infrastructure augmentation and documentation was estimated to be $974m. The modernised warship was initially scheduled to be delivered by August 2008 but was delayed due to cost overruns.
The two countries reached an agreement on the final delivery and entire cost of the upgraded warship in December 2009. The deal was finalised in March 2010, the cost was fixed at $2.33bn and delivery was scheduled for December 2012.
The overhaul was completed by March 2012 and the first sea trials began in June 2012. The delivery was however delayed again due to defects encountered in boilers and the need for replacement of additional electrical cables.
The modernised carrier completed final sea trials in the White Sea in July 2013 and aviation trials in November 2013. The INS Vikramaditya will be integrated with close in weapon system (CIWS) and Barak 8 long-range air-defence system (LR-SAM) between 2015 and 2017.

The refurbished aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya is equipped with 234 new hull sections constructed using 2,500t of steel. It has an overall length of 284m, a maximum beam of 60m, height of about 60m and a displacement of 44,500t.
The warship features 22 decks and 2,500 compartments, of which 1,750 were completely re-built. It can carry more than 1,600 personnel including crew. Sponsons are installed to increase the breadth at the flight deck.
The modernised ship is also equipped with flight deck lighting systems, new AC plants, refrigeration plants, 14° sky jump, 30m wide arrester gears, three restraining gears, and two reverse osmosis plants for producing 400t of fresh water per day.
The modifications also included replacement of 2,300km of old electrical cables with new cables, upgrades to bulbous bow, and replacement of distilling plants. The aft aircraft lift and ammunition lifts were also upgraded.

The re-equipped superstructure of the Vikramaditya houses state-of-the-art launch and recovery systems, long-range air surveillance radars and advanced electronic warfare suite.

Admiral Gorshkov was a modified Kiev-class aircraft carrier of the Russian Navy, originally named Baku. Sometimes Admiral Gorshkov is considered a separate class due to its improvements including a phased array radar, extensive electronic warfare installations, and an enlarged command and control suite. Admiral Gorshkov is only Russian aircraft carrier of Project-1143.4 (chief designer V.F. Anikiev). In March 5, 2004, Admiral Gorshkov was sold to India for conversion into a STOBAR carrier. Currently the ship after a complete reconstruction was introduced into the Indian Navy as an aircraft carrier - INS Vikramaditya. Now Russia is preparing Indian military. Strategic Partnership between India and Russia in the military and military-technical sphere increases every year.
INS Vikramaditya (Sanskrit, Vikramāditya meaning "Brave as the Sun") is a modified Kiev-class aircraft carrier which entered into service with the Indian Navy in 2013. She has been renamed in honour of Vikramaditya, a legendary emperor of Ujjain, India.
She was commissioned on 16 November 2013 at a ceremony held at Severodvinsk, Russia. On 14 June 2014, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modiformally inducted INS Vikramaditya into the Indian Navy and dedicated it to the nation.
«Адмирал Флота Советского Союза Горшков» (изначально «Харьков», потом до 4 октября 1990 года «Баку», в последнее время в официальных документах именуется в упрощённом виде «Адмирал Горшков») — советский и российский тяжёлый авианесущий крейсер (ТАВКР), единственный корабль проекта 1143.4 (главный конструктор В. Ф. Аникиев), продан Индии 20 января 2004 года. 5 марта 2004 года крейсер исключён из боевого состава ВМФ РФ, действующее наименование аннулировано, торжественно спущен Андреевский флаг. Description
The importance of the Bhartrihari traya (three) Shataka is nothing less than
Ramayana, Geeta or Mahabharata. This Shatak unites the complex knots of
life and directly captivate the human heart. People could feel divine acquiring
inspiration from the Shataka. One can seldom find anything comparable to
Bhartrihari Shatak, especially with relation to philosophy of life. The Vairagya
Shataka, Neeti Shataka and Shringar Shataka are related to spirituality,
social life and personal life respectively. But on the whole the benefits of this
Shataka encompass every sphere of life. The ultimate aim of human life is
attainment of the state of bliss, which is impossible until the mind is vagrant,
aimless and instable. It is because of this reason that one needs love and
eroticism in youth hood. Every person is endowed with some aesthetic sense.
Detachment is simply impossible without aesthetic sense. The philosophy of
Satyam Shivam Sundaram is rightly based on the above-mentioned concept.
What is true, that only is welfare-oriented and what is welfare-oriented
is undoubtedly beautiful. Shringaar adheres in totality to this
concept. Man attains the highest state of bliss eventually, only after he initially
treads on the path of beauty, understands the concept of morality and finally
renounces desire, hatred, sensual-pleasure etc.
Plot Outline
Bhartrihari was the king of Malwa whose capital city was Ujjain. The famous
emperor Vikramaditya was the younger stepbrother of king Bhartrihari.
After being throne as a king, Bhartrihari became so physically attached to
his younger wife Pingla that he
spent most of the time with her. Vikramaditya tried to make him realize his
foolishness, but all in vain. On the contrary on the command of Queen Pingala,
Bhartrihari, threw Vikramaditya out of the city. So does the story goes that
Bhartrihari got such a fruit from a Monk that would increase THE YOUTH
PERIOD in his life span. The king did not eat the fruit himself but gave it to his
beloved youngest Queen Pingla, because he was madly obsessed with her. The
Queen took the fruit and pretended that she was very happy and said that she
would eat the fruit after having a bath in the full moon nightas prescribed by
the said Monk. The king agreed to this and happily returned. The youngest
Queen was in love with a young, well built, brave horse keeper / slave
Adhirath. She gave the fruit to him. Adhirath was in love with Nagar Vadhu
Lavanya. He presented this fruit in turn to her...

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaches Goa Naval Air Station and receives a ceremonial 150 men ceremonial 'Guard of Honour' will be presented to him on his arrival. He is seen boarding a helicopter to embark on India's largest warship, aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya. On this day, the warrior ship will be dedicated to the nation and to be inducted into the Indian Navy. Along with spending four hours at INS Vikramaditya, PM Modi will also witness a host of naval exercises.

This is the first time that the Prime Minister will travel be travelling outside Delhi since taking oath on May 26. On his visit, PM Modi will be spending four hours on INS Vikraaditya and will also witness 'Air Power Demonstration' by various naval aircraft.
