Seriously includes major spoilers for the whole series, from how the pilot ends to scenes from the very last episode of the series, as well as a lot of stuff in between. Brand new fandom for me!! I'm also a brand new fan of House, Prison Break, kinda Everwood, & well Castle I just saw every episode of. I'm on a new fandom roll but for now let me just bask in the glory of finally being a Friday Night Lights fan. Damn this show. My heart and soul basically cannot take the perfection. The whole show is on instant streaming on Netflix (you can use the closed-captioning there, which can be useful if the mumbling in a thick southern accent can get tricky to discern like it often was for me). :P Anyway ah. My 1st ever FNL vid. I made it all in pretty much one sitting tonight - I mean I stayed up all night to make it so it's kinda like spending all day on a vid but still, it was a fast vid to make compared to my usual standards. I didn't put all that much effort into it - I just was in a super Matt Saracen mood after seeing the series finale & then a bunch of totally perfect Matt/Julie fanvideos...so I decided to vid some of my favorite scenes of his - mainly ones that made me cry. Lol. I hope some people enjoy this little tribute to him. And I must quote greyskiesproduction from one of her FNL vids: "Also, if you don't watch/like this show, you need to reevaluate your life." Um so true. Lmao. I tried to think of a good song for him and got a little stuck. I settled on this one... Song: Disarm (I had to pitch-shift it.) I don't know, to me especially given how Matt had to grow up way too fast because both of his parents sorta abandoned him and his grandmother needed him... those lyrics worked. Also even just what he had to deal w/ on the football team in the pilot and later on both kinda fit the difficulties of growing up too fast, dealing with harsh realities of life, etc. I fit in as much Julie/Matt as I thought made sense because I do adore them & she was pretty huge in his life. I squeezed in a little of Landry because well I adore the Matt/Landry friendship. VO's: I hate him. I hate my dad. He was killed. And I don't like hating people! But I just put all my hate on him, so that I don't have to hate anybody else. So that I can be a good person, you know? Just.. to my grandmother, to my friends... to your daughter. I mean he was... he was in the army for... twenty years and that was something that he was... he was proud of. And he missed... he missed some of my birthdays, and he missed... a lot of me growing up. I need to become an emancipated minor. But I think the point is that I got to grow up up. And I got to have those birthdays. You know you smell like a damn drunk right now, don't you? Yeah. I do. Ow! Wow, what happened? I just, I just got... uh... beat up. A little bit. You know the crazy part is that just a few years ago, we were trying to figure out how we were gonna TALK to Julie Taylor. And now here you are; you're about to MARRY Julie. I know.
