This video was shot on Nov. 15, 2015, I PUT THE WRONG DATE AT THE END OF THE VIDEO! Whoops. The blitz lasted all day, I had tons of footage of casting and reeling in short Stripers with a couple keepers in the mix, all the fish I caught were on a 7" Talkin Popper, at dusk however the fish would only hit plugs/swimmers. Rather than bore you with all the catching of short Bass I cut out most of that and highlighted some of the more interesting events that took place that day. Hope you enjoy watching!
The guy who fell on the Jetty was OK, I immedaitely asked if he was OK and offered to help but he insisted he was fine, which he was, just a minor fall, no harm done.
The guy who cursed out the boat is the same guy in the last clip who lost his lure and retrieved it with my rod/caught a fish at the same time. The boat to which he cursed out was way too close to us and deserved exactly what was said, he got the point and took off and surely got skunked for the day despite the fact the bass were in attack mode, he didn't have a clue and should have stuck to fishing for sunnies in the pond. Rumor has it his boat sunk later in the day.

This was the very first trip in the salt this year. Second drift of the morning... First bass of the season! On this trip, we were doing some scouting for some upcoming charters and found what we were looking for! This monster striped bass ended up weighing over 74 pounds!

A casual day of kayak fishing in cape may goes wrong when the fish don't bite and I lose my anchor. I ditch my plan of kayak fishing, leaving my 3 buddy's to go fish from the beach with some freshly snagged bunker, things end up OK once I get to the beach as I land a nice 42" Bass and get a nice view of a whale feeding tight to the beach.
My kayak is a hobie revo 13'

The striped bass (Morone saxatilis), also called Atlantic striped bass, striper, linesider, rock, pimpfish, or rockfish) is the state fish of Maryland, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and the state saltwater (marine) fish of New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and New Hampshire. They are also found in the Minas Basin and Gaspereau River in Nova Scotia, Canada.
The striped bass is a typical member of the Moronidae family in shape, having a streamlined, silvery body marked with longitudinal dark stripes running from behind the gills to the base of the tail. Maximum size is 200 cm (6.6 ft) and maximum scientifically recorded weight 57 kg (125 US pounds). Common mature size is 120 cm (3.9 ft). Striped bass are believed to live for up to 30 years.
Striped bass are native to the Atlantic coastline of North America from the St. Lawrence River into the Gulf of Mexico to approximately Louisiana. They are anadromous fish that migrate between fresh and salt water. Spawning takes place in fresh water.
Striped bass have been introduced to the Pacific Coast of North America and into many of the large reservoir impoundments across the United States by state game and fish commissions for the purposes of recreational fishing and as a predator to control populations of gizzard shad. These include: Elephant Butte Lake in New Mexico; Lake Ouachita, Lake Norfork, Beaver Lake (Arkansas) and Lake Hamilton in Arkansas; Lake Powell, Lake Pleasant, and Lake Havasu in Arizona; Castaic Lake, Lake George in Florida, Pyramid Lake, Silverwood Lake, Diamond Valley Lake, East Fork State Park Lake near Cincinnati Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama [1], Lake Cumberland, and Lake Murray in California; Lake Lanier in Georgia; Reelfoot Lake, Tennessee; and Lake Mead, Nevada; Lake Texoma, Lake Tawakoni, Lake Whitney, Possum Kingdom Lake, and Lake Buchanan in Texas; Raystown Lake in Pennsylvania; and in Virginia Smith Mountain Lake.

"Chasing The Blitz" New Jersey Striped Bass + Crazy Out Takes
This video was shot on Nov. 15, 2015, I PUT THE WRONG DATE AT THE END OF THE VIDEO! Whoops. The blitz lasted all day, I had tons of footage of casting and reeling in short Stripers with a couple keepers in the mix, all the fish I caught were on a 7" Talkin Popper, at dusk however the fish would only hit plugs/swimmers. Rather than bore you with all the catching of short Bass I cut out most of that and highlighted some of the more interesting events that took place that day. Hope you enjoy watching! The guy who fell on the Jetty was OK, I immedaitely asked if he was OK and offered to help but he insisted he was fine, which he was, just a minor fall, no harm done. The guy who cursed out the boat is the same guy in the last clip who lost his lure and retrieved it with my rod/caught a fish ... -

A casual day of kayak fishing in cape may goes wrong when the fish don't bite and I lose my anchor. I ditch my plan of kayak fishing, leaving my 3 buddy's to go fish from the beach with some freshly snagged bunker, things end up OK once I get to the beach as I land a nice 42" Bass and get a nice view of a whale feeding tight to the beach. My kayak is a hobie revo 13' The striper was caught on a 12' star surf rod with a shimano spheros 14000

A casual day of kayak fishing in cape may goes wrong when the fish don't bite and I lose my anchor. I ditch my plan of kayak fishing, leaving my 3 buddy's to go fish from the beach with some freshly snagged bunker, things end up OK once I get to the beach as I land a nice 42" Bass and get a nice view of a whale feeding tight to the beach.
My kayak is a hobie revo 13'
The striper was caught on a 12' star surf rod with a shimano spheros 14000
