William Grefe (born 1930) is a writer and director of films, best known for his work in the exploitation field. For most of his career he has worked in Florida. He also worked for a number of years with Ivan Tors.
In 2009 a documentary was released about his work called From the Swamp: The Films of William Grefe.
William may refer to:
William "Bill" Shatner (born March 22, 1931) is a Canadian actor, singer, author, producer, director, spokesman, and comedian. He became a cultural icon for his portrayal of James T. Kirk, Captain of the USS Enterprise, in the Star Trek franchise. He has written a series of books chronicling his experiences playing Captain Kirk and being a part of Star Trek, and has co-written several novels set in the Star Trek universe. He has also written a series of science fiction novels called TekWar which was adapted for television.
Shatner also played the eponymous veteran police sergeant in T. J. Hooker (1982–86). Afterwards, he hosted the reality-based television series Rescue 911 (1989–96), which won a People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Dramatic Series. He has since worked as a musician, author, director and celebrity pitchman. He also starred as attorney Denny Crane in the television dramas The Practice (2004) and its spin-off Boston Legal (2004–08), for which he won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.

Balsac the Jaws of Death is the rhythm guitarist in the rock band Gwar. He appears as a humanoid creature with a face resembling a bear-trap. Balsac is usually portrayed wielding a giant battleaxe. In contrast to the other bandmates, Balsac speaks with a pretentious British accent until Lust in Space, where he speaks with an American accent during an argument with Oderus Urungus on the track "Where Is Zog?", though he also speaks without an accent during the argument in "Have You Seen Me?" from The Road Behind EP.
In the original Gwar lineup in 1985, Jaws of Death and BalSac (pronounced Ball Sick) were two separate characters. Jaws of Death (played by Death Piggy guitarist Steve Douglas) wore a crude version of the familiar animal trap face, while BalSac (Chris Bopst) played bass and wore a simple open-face piece of spiked headgear. After several lineup changes, Douglas would return to the band as Balsac the Jaws of Death for the recording of Gwar's first album Hell-O, only to be replaced by Michael Derks shortly after.
Steve Alaimo (born December 6, 1939) was an American teen idol pop singer in the early 1960s who later became record producer and label owner, but he is perhaps best known for hosting and co-producing Dick Clark's Where the Action Is in the late 1960s. He had nine singles to chart in the Billboard Hot 100 without once reaching the Top 40 in his career, the most by any artist.
Alaimo was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and moved to Rochester, New York, at the age of five. He entered the music business during his time as a pre-med student at the University of Miami, joining his cousin's instrumental rock band the Redcoats, becoming the guitarist, and eventually, the singer. The Redcoats consisted of Jim Alaimo on rhythm guitar, Brad Shapiro on bass, and Jim "Chris" Christy on drums. After playing a Sock hop held by local disc jockey Bob Green and label owner Henry Stone, the band earned a record deal with Stone's Marlin Records. In 1959, "I Want You To Love Me" became a regional hit for the band. Green became Alaimo's manager, ultimately giving up the role to Stone. That same year, Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars came to Miami needing a band to back up artists, so the Redcoats became that band.

On a sunny warm summer afternoon in 2001 in Berkeley, CA, US Champion IM John Grefe gives a hour long introduction to the King's Indian Defense. The late chess master John Grefe always gave freely of his chess genius! Here at the outdoor table at a coffeehouse he called his "office" he gives a couple of class players a lesson. The camera was focused on the board for most of this video. But, at the end, the final few minutes show John giving his sage advice. John was a close friend of mine and sadly passed away in December 2013 ... way too young! This is my video tribute to this good friend, great chess player, US chess champion and a wonderful kind human being!! RIP my friend!!

This bonus feature is not on the counterfeit DVDs found on the international sites for amazon/LOVEFiLM, ebay, and other mega-conglomerate corporations and companies not based in the USA. Why do we love bad movies? Well, not all bad movies, but the ones that make you laugh out loud. The ones that are so bad that they’re good. And to see one of these movies with a group of friends can be a perfect night. What about a movie marathon of these turkeys? A lot of these turkeys were intended to be horror movies, and while they’re not what they were intended to be, they’re still pretty damn entertaining. In this episode, I talk about a Horror Movie Turkey Marathon with some friends, and give some suggestions for you if you’d like to have a crowd over for some laugh-filled scares. We’re movie lovers, right? This is supposed to be fun! Thanks for listening. Join the Hellbent for Horror Horde on Patreon! Cl...
