Biotech drugmaker Gilead Sciences said its results were hurt by big discounts and rebates on its costly hepatitis C medicines, and its stock lost 8.79 US dollars, or 9.1%, to 88.21 dollars. Rival biotech giant Amgen reported relatively solid results, but fell 2.26 dollars, or 1.4%, to 158.30 dollars ... It plunged 12.46 dollars, or 19.4%, to 51.76 dollars ... The euro rose to 1.1454 dollars from 1.1351 dollars....
