CCF Escape Case: Report from the latest episode of Judge A.Yfanti’s kangaroo court (Greece)

May 31st, 2016

At the hearing on May 24th Judge A. Yfanti once again started the session without waiting for all the co-defendants to arrive. The comrades George Polydoros and Angeliki Spyropoulou entered the courtroom after the hearing had already begun.

A motion from the CCF comrades to remove the presiding judge was deliberated over by the same court who denied the motion and kept the same judge.

At the hearing, the comrade George Polydoros read a statement saying that the judge is unfit to direct the trial, recalling various incidents in which the judge had threatened and taunted the accused along with his insistence of conducting the trial without lawyers. The comrade also stated: “What to do with the representatives of the judiciary who have judged and imprisoned my brother, the mother of Christos and Gerasimos Tsakalos and the wife of the latter? We do not know, but the anarchist urban guerrillas will provide the response”. Read the rest of this entry »

21 July – London demo against the brutal Close Supervision Centres – Letter by Kevan Thakrar (UK)

May 31st, 2016

From a comrade of ABC Brighton:

A secret world exists within the high security prison estate in England, known as the Close Supervision Centre (CSC) system. The dehumanisation of CSC prisoners begins at a very early stage, in the official justification for the creation of the CSC system, which focuses on the need to contain a new breed of unmanageable and unpredictable risks. It continues with the creation of classificatory categories of ‘dangerousness’ which objectify prisoners and make more of the category and less of the human in them, and it is reinforced by the tightly controlled and highly regulated routines.

In addition to isolation and extremely restricted movements, prisoners’ in-cell belongings are carefully regulated and subjected to relentless scrutiny and inspection. Read the rest of this entry »

Incendiary attack against a Banamex bank in Oaxaca by Informal Anarchic Individualities (Mexico)

May 30th, 2016

On the morning of May 23rd in complicity with the full moon we decided to attack, in a city taken by police and military, we joined the night which makes us invisible and provides anonymity and secrecy. We torched a Banamex branch by placing tires in front of it and watering them with gasoline. So we illuminated the darkness and struck a blow, it’s a fleeting moment, but it’s a moment we enjoy and that for a few seconds makes us feel a little freer, releasing the fire that slowly eats away at the awful branch and it’s ATMs. We decided to videotape it so that everyone can see that some actions are easy to carry out, to encourage all comrades to take action wherever they are.

It is undeniable, we are everywhere. We see banks and those responsible for them as direct generators of poverty and social inequality. Banks are the temples where the “God” of money comes and goes, where misery is managed, where that “God” is placed above any form of life. Read the rest of this entry »

Letter by Spiros Christodoulou (Greece)

May 30th, 2016

May 29th 2015: The day was fiery, everything darkened…

We woke up to a cloudy sky and in mid-day while the sun was shining
everything darkened…

It was around 4 when the EKAM (special forces) and anti-terrorist force called for us to surrender!

I thought it was lie, I thought I was hearing things…

But on the contrary, the EKAM had surrounded the house, the helicopter
flew over us and we tried to see what we can do in two-three minutes.

My thoughts wandered to the hellholes I would go back to.

The hallways I would wander pointlessly.

My people who I would leave behind!

Suddenly Spiros, our little Spiros, the kid that knew not of diplomacy, who was distinguished by courage, integrity and passion for the freedom he fought for so much to acquire, grabs the Kalashnikov when hearing the EKAM and puts it under his throat ending his life!!!

Everything was erased! The room filed with smoke. He fell over and was
smiling!

He was happy with his decision and you could see it his little face.
It was his choice, which is why his face glowed!

I was startled, my heart was pounding so hard, I thought what I was
seeing was a lie.

But no, our beloved Spirakos (little spiros) was dead.

He had the courage and boldness, he had the soul to do what he did while I did not!

His decision was courageous while mine was not!

He was tired of wandering in the hallways of prison and spending the years with no meaning!

Spirakos I am sorry if sometimes we disagreed and sorry I did not make
it to stop you!

I am sorry little brother if sometimes I upset you!

You are and will always be in my life.

I will reminisce the moments we laughed, when you made me feel like a
child!

You are our Spirakos, the kid who gave it all with no reward.

I love you and you will always have a place in my heart and when we meet again you will play your special pranks played!!

Honour to Spiro Dravila who will always live in my heart!…

Spiros Christodoulou

Operation Fenix: Urgent – Imprisoned anarchist Martin Ignačák has gone on hungerstrike (Czech Republic)

May 30th, 2016

On Friday 27.5. 2016 in Pankrác remand prison anarchist Martin Ignačák accused of terrorism went on hunger strike. He did this because on 29.4. 2016 the City court in Prague ruled in favour of his release from remand and the state’s attorney appealed this decision to the High court in Prague. On Friday 27.5. 2016 the High court in Prague extended the remand. Therefore the anarchist has decided to protest by going on hunger strike and has stopped taking in nutrition and liquids. This type of hunger strike threatens the life of the hunger striker after a week.

During the year long investigation of the preparation of a supposed terrorist attack the imprisoned anarchist has exhausted all legal options, to achieve objective procedure of the respective organs active in the criminal proceedings. None of them were taken into account. This is why he now chose this radical form of expression, to draw attention to this manipulated police case. ” I consider the approach of the investigators and the police to be very problematic, it is a threat to the freedom of every human being, a threat to freedom of speech, a threat to activism that tries to lead to a better world , and this doesn’t just involve anarchists.” Read the rest of this entry »

Berlin: Fuck nations, squat the world – Report from the Nordkiez (Germany)

May 30th, 2016

This text is a response to the call „Fuck nations, squat the world“. The discussion about squats as focal points of lawlessness and coordinated anarchist action are held everywhere across the world. Surely the „rebellious Nordkiez“ (the northern area) in Friedrichshain is relevant for many people, not only those that inhabit it. And what occurs outside of this bubble, for example the fascist and state attacks against Greek squats and in the area of Exarcheia, is connected to it.

Report from the Nordkiez – where the state of emergency became normality

There have been innumerable episodes in this neighbourhood. Our story is that of an area of constant unrest, which has been a place of autonomous struggle for the last 26 years. We continue writing this history by declaring that the episode of the „Dangerzone“ is over, it is time to move forward in our struggles against the state, capital and the entire apparatus of domination and exploitation which surrounds us.

‘Fighting back: every day!’ By Thomas Meyer-Falk (Germany)

May 30th, 2016

Fighting back: every day!
By Thomas Meyer-Falk

When I look back on the day of my arrest 20 years ago, I wasn’t imagining what I would have to experience during the next decades of my life.

The first decade they kept me in solitary confinement; since 2007 I’m in population. But I don’t know if or when I’ll get free, because there’s an old law from 1933. Passed by the Nazis on 24 November 1933 – the P.D. law (preventative detention), which allows the state to keep someone in prison for life, without giving him a life sentence. In their theory the P.D. isn’t a sentence – but the P.D. units are still inside regular prisons, inmates living in cells, bars are still at their windows, they’re going into the prison yard and being supervised by prison staff.

What is P.D. for? What are prisons for? Prisons are necrophilic places. There are living people who often have necrophilic attitudes, and there are working people who have necrophilic attitude as well. P.D. and prisons are made for a necrophilic society, for people who often have necrophilic attitudes, and these places are still made by people who have necrophilic attitudes.

A biophilic attitude is the one we’re still fighting for and which is fulfilling our hearts. Read the rest of this entry »

May 30th, 2016

Update : An open letter from anarchist groups in Warsaw is published below.

Correction: Radykalne Ogrodki Dzialkowe (ROD) was attacked with a raid and searches only, there was no attempted eviction.

On the night between Sunday the 22nd & Monday the 23rd of May three comrades were detained near the car park of South Warsaw police station. Cops claim to have found an explosive device under a police car. All three comrades were taken into custody at the station and one comrade was severely beaten. The comrades refused to cooperate and denied all accusations of ‘terrorism’ and attempting to bomb the police station. The comrades received support from the anarchist community and 3 squats from Warsaw (Przychodnia, Syrena, Radykalne Ogrody Działkowe) and were provided with legal representation.

The same day police raided and tried to evict Radykalne Ogrody Działkowe squat where one of the arrested comrades lived and search for evidence. According to the “Reclaim The Fields” website: “Cops arrived between 4 and 5AM. They invaded the squat area by cutting fences and demolishing the gate with a forklift. Six undercover police invaded people’s rooms. One friend woke up and found himself surrounded by cops questioning him about his identity. They then proceeded to search the entire squat.” Read the rest of this entry »
