An old friend from Bury LMS "Black Five" 44871 is seen a long way from home at Fort William whilst working the daily "Jacobite" steam service up to Mallaig. I'm set up at the junction just outside the station at "Nevis Road" where the Mallaig line separates from the West Highland Line at Fort William Jn Signal Box. I also filmed the ECS working which offered a rare sight of a steam locomotive working "tender first" on the mainline, although this apparently isn't very rare "up there". I will be uploading that video in the near future. Thanks for watching and stay tuned fore more railway videos coming soon...

Me and my mates Deano, Ray and Dave headed on up to Fort William in the West Highlands for 4 days of camping. We also did a 2 day trek in the mountains, staying in Meanach bothy as this year is 10 years from when we first stayed there. It was an amazing trip as always. Part 2 will be online in a few days. In this video we return to Fort William in the West Highlands of Scotland to do a walk we first did 10 years ago, Corrour Station to Meanach Bothy and then back through Glen Nevis. We got lucky with the weather, had a great night in the bothy and relived some memories from times gone by. Why not watch the original videos from back in 2006 & 2007. Here`s a video I`ve recently edited with a combination of footage filmed by me and my farther, revealing sections of the spectacular 42 mile journey on “The Jacobite” steam train, from Fort William to Mallaig, in the West Highlands of Scotland. After beginning at Fort William we gradually make our way through the urban areas before making our way into the Highlands and see some glorious mountainous sceneries, such as the view crossing the 21 arched Glenfinnan Viaduct (the railway bridge which appears in 3 of the Harry Potter films). Then after a brief stop at Glenfinnan Station (where the other “Jacobite” train comes passing us on its return journey to Fort William) we continue our journey by viewing more glorious mountainous views and the view of a big lake which contains a couple of sm...
A 1990's video of the journey along the West Highland line from Crianlarich to Fort William.
The world's top mountain biking stars wowed huge crowds gathered at the Fort William Mountain Bike World Cup today as they plummeted down the slopes of Aonach Mor in the thrilling downhill finals. South African rider Greg Minnaar took top podium place in the Men's Downhill following a tremendous show of power and skill down the course, beating runner up Danny Hart who firmly made his mark on familiar British soil. Minnaar also stole the prize from top British riders, Ruaridh Cunningham (17th place), Ben Cathro (19th place) and last year's winner, Gee Atherton who came in fourth. Fans favourite Tracy Moseley took the top prize in the Women's Downhill after fending off fierce competition from fellow Brit Rachel Atherton in an exhilarating challenge. Tracy held her World Cup lead ...

This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" please do not re-upload! 1080p HD! ScotRail class 156 from Mallaig to Fort William view from the rear facing cab. One of the most stunning, scenic routes in Britain! The video does include the entire journey, minus a few seconds where the camera lost focus which I cut out. Enjoy the scenery, Thanks for watching! K1 62005 takes us from Fort William to Mallaig & back on July 5th 2012.This was our first trip over this line.We strongly recommend anyone who has never travelled this route to do so as the scenery is spectacular & outstanding. But please be aware of vegetation etc brushing the sides of the carriages at numerous places.I used an old tape camcorder to record from the train window so as not to damage my HD camera due mainly to the amount of soot and grit expelled from the loco.(Safety goggles should be worn, though it is not recommended to lean out of the windows anyway.).Hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed the trip.It is a must to travel on this fantastic and scenic line. The second part of our Scotland trip. After a great nights sleep in the bothy we start the long walk back to Fort William. An amazing day with some beautiful views. Followed by a very very short but sweet drive to Edinburgh, and then a few pictures from over the 4 days of the trip. Hope you like it.
Well, you never know what the day may bring
?Cause tonight I'm dancing for the spring
What springs from your heart?
What rolls from the tip of your tongue?
First it blossoms then it falls as fruit for the young
The fruit for the young, yeah
But there's no time to waste
For there are songs we haven't sung
And none but us can taste
All the sweetness of the fruit for the young
Can you show me what darkness means
By opening my eyes I hook into this scene
And those who've gone before us are seen again
In the sparkle in the eyes of the children
Of those who once led the fruit of the dead
For the young, for the young
There's no time to waste
For there are songs we haven't sung
And none but us can taste
All the sweetness of fruit for the young
Well, you never know what the day may bring
?Cause tonight I'm dancing for the spring
What springs from your heart?
What rolls from the tip of your tongue?
First it blossoms then it falls as fruit for the young
The fruit for the young
The fruit for the young
