Pablo Morales (born December 5, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American former swimmer. He attended Bellarmine College Preparatory, in San Jose, California under the supervision of Larry Rogers. He won a relay gold and two silver medals swimming Butterfly at the 1984 Summer Olympics and set the world record in the 100 m Butterfly at the Olympic Trials that year as well as setting relay records with teammates Rick Carey, Steve Lundquist, and Rowdy Gaines.
However, in 1988 on the heels of a record 11th NCAA individual championship at Stanford University, he failed to qualify for the 1988 Summer Olympics. After briefly retiring from the sport to pursue a law degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, he returned to the Olympics in 1992 as the team captain and captured gold in the 100 m Butterfly, becoming the oldest swimmer to win an Olympic medal. He is currently the head women's Swimming & Diving coach at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
