Gary Steven Roenicke (born in Covina, California on December 5, 1954) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder for the Montreal Expos (1976), Baltimore Orioles (1978–85), New York Yankees (1986) and Atlanta Braves (1987–88).
He was originally drafted by the Montreal Expos as the eighth pick of the first round of the 1973 amateur draft. He earned the MVP Award in the Eastern League (U.S. baseball) in 1975. A year later, he made his major league debut for the Montreal Expos, hitting .222 in 29 games with two home runs and five runs batted in.
In 1977, Roenicke was traded with Joe Kerrigan and Don Stanhouse to the Baltimore Orioles for Rudy May, Randy Miller, and Bryn Smith.
Roenicke appeared in 27 games in his first season with the Orioles in 1978. A year later, in his first full season, he had perhaps the best season of his career, appearing in 133 games and hitting .261 with 25 home runs and 64 runs batted in. He even made the top ten in at-bats per home run, with one home run every 15.0 AB. The next year, he hit .239 with 10 home runs, 28 runs batted in. In 1981 he hit .269, but his power numbers were still significantly down, slugging only .384, whereas he had slugged .508 in his rookie season. In 1982, he hit .270 with a slugging percentage of .499 in 137 games.
Ronald Jon Roenicke (pronounced /ˈrɛnɨki/ REN-i-kee; born August 19, 1956) is a former Major League Baseball player, minor league baseball manager, former bench coach for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and the current manager of the Milwaukee Brewers. He is also the younger brother of former Montreal Expos and Baltimore Orioles outfielder Gary Roenicke.
Roenicke attended Edgewood High School in West Covina, California and Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California. He was drafted four times (by the Oakland Athletics in 1974, the San Francisco Giants in 1975, the Detroit Tigers in 1976 and the Atlanta Braves in 1976) but declined to sign each time. He played college baseball at UCLA in 1977 where he hit .284 with 9 home runs and 40 RBIs .
In 1977 he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1st round (17th overall), and decided to join the Dodgers organization. He spent time in the Dodgers' farm system until making his major league debut with the club in 1981, where he remained until released by the club in 1983. He signed with the Seattle Mariners in 1983 and played for the 1984 National League Champion San Diego Padres. He played in the two games of the 1984 World Series against the Detroit Tigers, serving as an outfielder and pinch runner.
Joshua James Roenicke (born August 4, 1982) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball.
Roenicke was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 10th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft out of UCLA where he was both an outfielder and a relief pitcher, as well as a defensive back and kick returner on the UCLA football team. Beginning his professional career with the Gulf Coast Reds, Roenicke pitched 8 innings and gave up only one run. He was promoted to the Rookie level Billings Mustangs where he finished 2006. He began 2007 with the High-A Sarasota Reds before being promoted to Double-A Chattanooga. Combined, he had a 3–2 record with a 2.31 ERA, 56 strikeouts, and 24 saves. Roenicke remained in Chattanooga to begin 2008, but was promoted to Triple-A Louisville after 22 appearances. In 35 games for Louisville, he had a 2.54 ERA and was promoted to the majors on September 9.
Roenicke made his major league debut on September 13, walking, striking out, and hitting 1 batter each.
Gary Richard Darling (born October 9, 1957 in San Francisco, California) is an umpire in Major League Baseball. After beginning his career in the National League from 1986 to 1999, he has worked throughout both major leagues since 2002. He wears uniform number 37 (though he wore #35 during his NL tenure).
Darling attended Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento, California. He has umpired in the 2003 and 2010 World Series, four National League Championship Series (1992, 2004, 2006, 2011), two All-Star Games (1993, 2003), and seven Division Series (1995, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007).
Darling's crew for 2010 consisted of Bill Hohn, Bruce Dreckman, and Paul Emmel.
Darling spends much of his off season doing charity work for Umps Care (www.umpscare.com) MLB professional umpire's charity. Darling serves as the charity's president.
On April 29, 2008, in the seventh inning of a game between the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies, Darling called a balk against Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum, bringing home the winning run from third base in the form of Chris Iannetta. Giants manager Bruce Bochy was ejected by Darling for protesting the call. On the play, catcher Bengie Molina had requested a time out. Instead of honoring Molina's request, Darling called a balk and directed Iannetta home. In a later press interview, Darling explained the confusion by saying that "Lincecum flinched," adding that "Bengie was giving him the signs. Then (Lincecum) started and stopped. Bengie tried to cover for him by calling the timeout." Iannetta's run proved to be the winning margin in the game, giving Lincecum his first loss of the season.
Gary Andersen is the head coach of the Utah State University college football team. He was hired as the program's 26th head coach on December 4, 2008 to replace Brent Guy, who was fired during the 2008 season. He has previously been the head coach at Southern Utah University (1997-2003) and Park City High School (1992–1994). Immediately prior to coming to USU, Andersen was the defensive coordinator at the University of Utah, and a part of the 2008 Utes team that went undefeated and won a BCS bowl victory in the 2009 Sugar Bowl, finishing at #2 in the nation.
Andersen began his football career playing center at Ricks College, then a junior college (now Brigham Young University–Idaho), where he received first-team junior college All-America honors in 1984. He then transferred to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he lettered on the football team for two years before graduating in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in political science.

Across the border
The pride of history
The same as murder
Is this living
He's been careering
The steady hand as planned

No one should be there

careering. the caesar cut: salvation for receding hairlines
who hid the telegraphs and set their all in trophy cases of the past?
forget the way you kicked my shoes
because i cant sleep at night.
believe me when i tell you that it's not to late for us to save it all
we'll hide ourselves in bad reviews and laugh at all our misfortune
precious dreaming
and i know it's not real to stare to home and wish for better: you're better
it's foolish now to hope for sometime more than you to weigh me in
another bad trip's on our hands and this is surely not the first
paper on a coffee table's not the kind of stain we'd like to leave
and bleeding's such an awful mess to find out what you know already
it seems that we're still sliding to back when we were smiling
and the answer to be given: what if neptune rose?
when you're seventeen and waiting around. i'll drive by your house
so how long should it take to guess if i need to see your face
just to take a trip to somewhere after?
well this is my display, this is my cliche
when i'm finally dry of all that inspiration, what's left
this is my heart and these are my arms
