Spetsnaz certainly have a unique set of standards and prepare soldiers for the violence and gruesomeness of war. In Viktor’s book, he explains a scenario, where the soldiers are woken up in the middle of the night and sent to an abandoned house. While they first think they are walking through water, but a light turns on and they are in fact knee deep in pig’s blood and other remains of this animal.
