History of The Kaaba in English
The Kaaba ( الكعب "The Cube"), also known as the Sacred House (بيت الحرام ) and the Ancient House (بيت العتيق ), is a cuboid building in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is the most sacred site in Islam.
Al-Masjid al-Haram, the most sacred mosque in Islam, is built around the Kaaba. Muslims are expected to face the Kaaba during prayers, no matter where they are. From any given point in the world, the direction facing the Kaaba is called the Qibla.
One of the Five Pillars of Islam requires every Muslim to perform the Hajj pilgrimage at least once in his or her lifetime if able to do so. Multiple parts of the Hajj require pilgrims to make Tawaf, the circumambulation seven times around the Kaaba in a counter-clockwise direction. This circumambulation is also performed by pilgrims during the Umrah (lesser pilgrimage). However, the most dramatic times are during the Hajj, when millions of pilgrims gather to circle the building on the same day.In 2013, the number of pilgrims coming from outside the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj was officially reported as 1,100,544.

1. I had already performed my Umrah. I did not film anything during my Umrah.
2. I was not performing tawaf at the time. I was in Makkah for a number of days and it is not possible for a human to perform tawaf 24/7. So, you can do other things. In this case, I was making a video hoping that it would benefit many others.
3. I was using a sunglass camera which I was literally wearing just like hundreds of other people were wearing glasses and sunglasses. I was not disturbing anyone.
4. I was not speaking during the video. I added the voice by editing later when I got back home.
5. Don't be judgmental. You don't know people's intentions. Only Allah knows what is in the heart.
Alhamdulillah, I had the opportunity to perform Umrah in Ramadan 1436 (June 2015). I would like to share some moments from my trip with everyone.

The Black Stone and the Maqam-e-Ibrahim are believed by Muslims to be the only remnant of the original structure made by Abraham as naturally the remaining structure had to be demolished and rebuilt several times over history for maintenance purposes.

Black Stone
The Black Stone (or Hajarul Aswad, Arabic: الحجر الأسود al-Ḥajar al-Aswad) is the eastern cornerstone of the Kaaba, the ancient stone building, located in the center of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is revered by Muslims as an Islamic relic which, according to Muslim tradition, dates back to the time of Adam and Eve.
The stone was venerated at the Kaaba in pre-Islamic pagan times. According to Islamic tradition, it was set intact into the Kaaba's wall by the Islamic prophet Muhammad in the year 605 A.D., five years before his first revelation. Since then it has been broken into a number of fragments and is now cemented into a silver frame in the side of the Kaaba. Its physical appearance is that of a fragmented dark rock, polished smooth by the hands of pilgrims. Islamic tradition holds that it fell from the heaven as a guide for Adam and Eve to build an altar, although it has often been described as a meteorite, a hypothesis, which is now uncertain.
Muslim pilgrims circle the Kaaba as a part of the tawaf ritual during the hajj and many try to stop and kiss the Black Stone, emulating the kiss that Islamic tradition records that it received from Muhammad.

History of The Kaaba in English
The Kaaba ( الكعب "The Cube"), also known as the Sacred House (بيت الحرام ) and the Ancient House (بيت العتيق ), is a cuboid building in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is the most sacred site in Islam.
Al-Masjid al-Haram, the most sacred mosque in Islam, is built around the Kaaba. Muslims are expected to face the Kaaba during prayers, no matter where they are. From any given point in the world, the direction facing the Kaaba is called the Qibla.
One of the Five Pillars of Islam requires every Muslim to perform the Hajj pilgrimage at least once in his or her lifetime if able to do so. Multiple parts of the Hajj require pilgrims to make Tawaf, the circumambulation seven times around the Kaaba in a counter-clockwise direction. This circumambulation is also performed by pilgrims during the Umrah (lesser pilgrimage). However, the most dramatic times are during the Hajj, when millions of pilgrims gather to circle the building on the same day.In 2013, the number of pilgrims coming from outside the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj was officially reported as 1,100,544.

2. I was not performing tawaf at the time. I was in Makkah for a number of days and it is not possible for a human to perform tawaf 24/7. So, you can do other things. In this case, I was making a video hoping that it would benefit many others.
3. I was using a sunglass camera which I was literally wearing just like hundreds of other people were wearing glasses and sunglasses. I was not disturbing anyone.
4. I was not speaking during the video. I added the voice by editing later when I got back home.
5. Don't be judgmental. You don't know people's intentions. Only Allah knows what is in the heart.
Alhamdulillah, I had the opportunity to perform Umrah in Ramadan 1436 (June 2015). I would like to share some moments from my trip with everyone.

I was surprised to see that Mecca was actually a big city, in my mind, I always thought that it was a small holy place with the Kabaa.
The Kabaa is a cubical shaped building, covered with a beautiful black cloth embroidered with gold Quranic verses.
All Muslims around the world face the Kaaba during prayers, no matter where they are
When performing piligrimage, Muslims walk around the Kaaba 7 times while reciting verses. When reaching the spot of the Black Stone (in the eastern corner of the kabaa), the piligrims salute it. It is believed that this stone fell from Heaven.
the piligrims also drink ZamZam water, the holy water that was revealed to Hagar, Abraham's wife, when she desperately was looking for water in the desert.
The mosque within the Kabaa location is beautiful. Its arches interlace in an infinite design.
More than 15 million Muslims visit Mecca every year and I was amazed how clean and spotless it was!

Mecca, the holiest city in Islam is only 70 km from Jeddah where I was staying for a few weeks. Mecca is where Prophet Mohammed was born and where the Quoran was composed.

Building of holy Kaaba Ka'aba | Islamic Stories by cartoon
center of Islam's most sacred mosque, Al Masjid al Haram, in Mecca. This cartoon expres the building of Holy Kabah. While Abraham was building the Kaaba, an angel brought to him the Black Stone which he placed in the eastern corner of the structure. Another stone was the Maqam-e-Ibrahim (literally the Station of Abraham) where Abraham stood for elevation while building the structure. The Black Stone and the Maqam-e-Ibrahim are believed by Muslims to be the only remnant of the original structure made by Abraham as naturally the remaining structure had to be demolished and rebuilt several times over history for maintenance purposes.
