Film gauge is a physical property of photographic or motion picture film stock which defines its width. Traditionally the major film gauges in usage are 8 mm, 16 mm, 35 mm, and 65/70 mm (in this case 65 mm for the negative and 70 mm for the release print; the extra five millimeters are reserved for the magnetic soundtrack). There have been other historic gauges in the past, especially in the silent era, most notably 9.5 mm film, as well as a panoply of others ranging from 3 mm to 75 mm.
A day trip out in London in January 2016. Please forgive the shake. All was shot at the long end of my Minolta XL601 and I didn't have a monopod with me.
This video will demonstrate the proper way to use a Wet Film Gauge. When installing all liquid style waterproofing membranes, anti- fracture membranes, vapor reduction membranes, paints or other construction liquids the method to measure the materials installation thickness is with a tool called a Wet Film Gauge. The Wet Film Gauge will measure thickness of liquids in mils and assists the installer in knowing that the installation thickness is correct.

Baxlo film thickness gauges are especially designed for measuring the thickness of sheets of plastic film, plastic bags, paper, cardboard, foil, etc. According to UNE-ISO 4593. They have a resolution of thousandths of a millimeter and a maximum of 1 mm. It is an indispensable tool for manufacturers of plastic bags, polyethylene and polypropylene bags, protective film and general plastic film for measuring the gauge or thickness of the film. It has an accuracy of thousandths of a millimeter or microns (1 micron = 0.001 mm) Conversion between gauges and microns is made using the following formula: 1 micron = 0.001 mm = 4 gauges The maximum measurement range is 1 mm with a maximum reading error of only 3 microns, or 12 gauges http://en.baxlo.com/plastic-film-thickness-gauge - baxlo@...

Innocent's mannerisms and diction is unique in Malayalam cinema and he wildly caught the attention of the Malayalam audience. This made him almost a phenomenon in the Malayalam comedy scene, also making him a hot favourite for mimicry artistes. His popularity can be gauged from the fact that many frontline directors in Malayalam (like Priyadarshan, Satyan Anthikkad, Fazil and Kamal) rarely make films without Innocent. He has proven his acting skills in serious and character roles in several films. He has been the president of Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) for 12 years. He has held the post for the last four consecutive terms.[5] Innocent entered the film industry in 1972 with the movie Nrityashala. At first, he produced a few serious offbeat films, but he was not successf...

Welcome to Hornby Central a OO gauge model railway which is now complete after 40 years of enjoyable modelling. Built by myself and my brother, our 30 minute film depicts a day at Hornby Central and features many of our 47 locomotives on shed. If you would like to experience more of our imagination and creativity visit our website at www.hornbycentral.co.uk
That's a model train layout of superlatives. In this film you can see one of the most beautiful and one of the largest model railroad layouts in 1 scale or 1 gauge. On this beautiful model railway layout there are two train stations, a large locomotive shed, a small mountain railway and a narrow-gauge railway. Cab rides were made on the main line and on the narrow-gauge railway line. By the way, the construction of this model railway layout took almost twelve years. While many loving details along the railroad tell little stories, numerous locomotives, train sets, passenger trains and steam engines are to be seen on the layout. There are more than 150 photographs of this unique model railway layout at http://www.pilentum.de.
In addition to cinema shorts, many cinema feature films were also released in the UK on the 9.5mm 'home movie' film gauge by Pathescope. Generally the features were shortened to four, five or six reels. Here is a 1934 Edgar Wallace thriller entitled "The Green Pack", directed by T. Hayes Hunter and starring John Stuart, Aileen Marson and Gary Marsh. It is a production from the 1930s British Lion company, originally formed to film Edgar Wallace thrillers. Their total 1930s film output is virtually all 'lost' on the 35mm cinema format (supposedly a direct hit during the war on their temporary film store of original material and cinema prints) Many of these features and shorts do still survive, (the features drastically cut though), on the 9.5mm 'home movie' film gauge. This was ...
