I've been with Citibank for the past 3 years and I always recommend making an account to my family and friends! The pros of Citibank is their reliability, no account fees and transaction fees. Citibank has always helped me whenever there was a suspicious activity on my account and their security is very tight. I also travel overseas a lot and it's been really good to be able to withdraw money from overseas ATMs without any fees and excellent exchange rates! I can always speak on the phone with a customer representative within 5 minutes, or visit a branch for friendly staff. Cons is there are not many Citibank ATMs around Sydney except in CBD areas, however Citibank does have affiliations with some banks in Australia to use their ATM without a fee

Firstly, Heritage is not one of the 'big' banks so I like it better already. Secondly I was drawn to the bank after seeing their local community give-away day where they donated literally thousands to various local charities and community groups. After having a personal account with them for a couple of years I wanted to open my business account there as well. A quick look online showed me two business account options but neither seemed to fit what I was after which was a debit card and no fees (starting out as a Sole trader on minimal income I didn't want to be treated like a 'business' customer and charged monthly fees for options I didn't need or want). So... I went into my local branch for a chat. When I explained what I wanted (and didn't want) the staff member immediately asked if I was a Sole trader with an ABN and assured me that, yes, although the Business Cheque account offered a chequebook facility, I didn't have to take up that option and could be provided with a debit card only - just like a personal account. He explained that Heritage set up that account specifically for Sole traders just like me because they had so many customers asking for it. A bank responding to customers with not much money? another big win in my book! Setting up the new account took a couple of visits to the branch but I had the same friendly staff member each time and he remembered who I was after the first visit which made the whole process so much faster and more relaxing. Good job Heritage!

I was totally blown away that first late evening call I made to ING Direct. Firstly it was around 10pm on a weekend. I half expected to be leaving my name and address with some cold unfriendly machine, but to my utter amazement and joy I got to speak to one of the friendliest and most efficient young ladies I had ever had the privilege of meeting. ( Per phone that is) She explained to me that if I chose to sign up with ING I could have both a savings account ( Savings maxamiser account) and a daily transaction account (Orange everyday account) linked together. The first account enabled me to save money with a variable interest rate of 4.5% (At the time) I was also able to transfer funds to my Orange everyday account from my Savings Maxamiser account to withdraw at any time. She also pointed out that there were no bank fees on either account which made me giggle with joy, now I'm not normally the sort of guy that shows that much emotion. She went on to explain that if I chose to have my pay or pension automatically deposited directly into my Orange everyday account each F/N or month ( At least $1000 a month) I would be refunded all Teller machine fees from all other financial institutions, on the day I used their machines. I cannot falter their professionalism or their friendly 24 hour a day service. I haven't tried their online service but if it is as excellent as their personalised self help banking service I'm sure it would be great also. The ING Banking Institution gets my number one gold stamp of approval. It's just like being in love, without the hassles.

After being a customer of 5 energy providers in 25 years, I found Dodo. I save reasonable amount of money by changing over to Dodo. With Dodo, you pay every month an amount previously agreed upon. This amount is calculated from your past bills. When the meter is read you get your invoice. Cons:- It takes a little time and effort to understand and to get used to the system

My car was crashed into two weeks ago while parked and cannot be driven. After a lot of chasing Bingle finally towed it to a repairer for assessment a week after the crash. Another week has passed with no progress whatsoever and no update from Bingle even though they promised l'd hear four days ago. I am a single working mum with two small kids, no car and no prospect of getting one soon. Avoid Bingle! They are cheap but it's just not worth it.

Cua have always been either better or on par with other basic variable rates and we have never had a problem with them. They are always friendly in their branches and having the Redi ATMs as part of their service, it makes it easy to find an ATM that won't charge a fee. My only negative is that you have to go into a branch to chase up a better deal. They have a cheaper rate at the moment that I wouldn't have known about if I didn't go into the branch. Maybe I could have been notified about it by an email at the very least. Also depositing in an ATM would be helpful too.

There is a wide variety of products and features that make Commonwealth both convenient and good value for money. I use a banking app, online banking, and phone banking. The app is convenient and easy to use. The online banking has several great features that inform me of my spending and earning and compares the two using an easy to read visual cue. The phone service is excellent, and frequently has short wait times, enthusiastic and knowledgeable banking assistants, and technology to resolve your banking issue. Overall, this is a modern banking product with lots of benefits!

The initial setup process took only a few minutes to complete, however waiting for approval took several weeks (had applied for the loan online) and after about 2 months I decided to go into my local branch to finalise the loan which didn't take long at all (probably about half an hour). At the time they did offer a competitive fixed interest rate for an unsecured loan which was great but it really did take far longer than expected to draw up the loan. When I lost my job and was going through a hard time financially, the staff at NAB Care were understanding about my situation and allowed me to take a repayment holiday for 3 months which really helped me out.

St George was our bank of choice for our accounts in particular our term investment now called incentive saver. All accounts with the exception of the incentive saver were in both names. The incentive saver account was taken out when I was ill with breast cancer and long term reconstruction. This account was in my husbands name. When my husband passed away 4 months ago St George froze that account. They wanted me to go through probate. My husband and myself were inseparable and were married 51 years. I was his carer and the only beneficiary of his will. What I had to go through to have that money put in my name was intolerable emotionally and physically. I had to contact my solicitor and do a paper trail to show that this money also belonged to me. Thankfully my solicitor was very helpful and provided what I needed. It was not an easy road grieving the loss of my beautiful husband and having to fight to get my own money. I was told many things that were not true like its the law, any amount over 75 thousand in one name has to go through probate, this was later changed to 50 thousand. I was also told there had to be dire circumstances for them to waive probate. I asked what he sees dire circumstances were, however not one person could tell me. No wonder. Was confused and upset. I decided to fight, it was the fight or flight syndrome. I eventually won the battle but not without a personal tell. My husband would have been appalled.

I was able, after getting a quote from another company, to have them match the quote and add an international sim to the deal. The price for the insurance was very good and not needlessly expensive, with all the basics covered. The only problem came when trying to claim. I was travelling in a country that did not have the best internet access or wifi and attempting to contact the agency about various issues that arose was not worth the effort that had to be taken and the hoops that you had to jump through for what should have been a very simple problem to fix. Also, forged money is not considered a problem and therefore is not part of the policy.

They can't help you enough. Businesses could learn a lot from SGIO on how and what customer relations and service is. Call centre is in Australia, which is a major plus for myself (total onshore operation).
