Reed wants to avoid publicity so as not to panic the public. Dubin's Dandies - Can't Stop Caring For You (1929)
Can't Stop Caring For You
Music composed by Redmond
Farrar
Dubin's Dandies (
Adrian Schubert Orchestra)
Vocal chorus by
Irving Kaufman
Recorded in
New York,
November 19, 1929
Cameo 0137
Dubin's Dandies was one of the many pseudonyms for recording groups directed by Adrian Schubert. The group was probably named for one of the sidemen, Joe Dubin on tenor sax. This record was also released on the
Jewel,
Banner and
Oriole labels. Although the musicians are not indicated, it is likely
Manny Klein is heard on trumpet,
Tony Parenti on clarinet and
George Hamilton Green on the xylophone. The label identifies the vocalist as "
George Beaver" which was a pseudonym for the ubiquitous Irving Kaufman.

Travel video about destination
Dublin in
Ireland.
Dublin is the capital of the
Irish Republic and is a city of musicians, poets and dreamers. Its
Georgian buildings, whisky distilleries and historic castles are tangible and colorful reminders of bygone times. Numerous well preserved buildings, cafes, churches and idyllic canals also add to the captivating atmosphere of this fun loving city.
One of the city's main landmarks is a splendid structure,
Halfpenny Bridge, which derived its name due to a toll that was once extracted from those who crossed it.
Dublin Castle is one of the city's oldest buildings. It has seen much transformation and is a combination of several building styles. After the
Vikings, the
Normans conquered the city and ruled over it for 700 years and under

Ireland is one of
Europe’s most green and mysterious islands and everyone who visits this isolated island in the

Dublin is the capital of the
Irish Republic and it is a city of musicians, poets and dreamers, as well as being a financial centre. Its many old buildings indicate its long and dramatic past. It was founded by the
Vikings within a wonderful valley where the
River Liffey flows into the Atlantic Ocean. After the Vikings, the
Normans conquered the city and ruled over it for seven hundred years and under
King Henry The Eighth Dublin became the capital of what was then a

Dublin and Mystical Side-Trips
Dublin's story is of feast and famine—from its
18th-century Golden Age to its
20th-century struggles for independence to its boomtime today. We explore the town's foreboding castle, patriotic jail, and
Trinity College with its
Book of Kells—a bright light in the
Dark Ages. At night we party in
Temple Bar, awash with
Celtic music and frothy pints of Guinness. We side-trip to the prehistoric necropolis of
Newgrange and the medieval monastery at
Glendalough, tucked in the scenic

Travel Extra Trip to Nova Scotia July 30 31 2015
A visit to
Halifax in
Nova Scotia on the
Europe Airpost 737. Halifax is effectively a short haul flight from
Dublin at just over five hours so we went for dinner in the Five Fishermen restaurant and home the following day, touring the
Titanic burial sites while there. We were hosted by
Linda Macken and
Catherine Grennell
White of
ATTS on behalf of the aileron, and by
Kim Jardine of Nova Scotia Tourism,
Jonathan Toms of
Destination Halifax and
Richard Arnold the kilted and extremely knowledgeable tour guide. The great sommelier is
Avery Gavel who guided us through some classic Nova Scotia wines. Two
Irish students were on the flight having won a prize from
Dublin Airport Authority:
Jessica O'Rourke and
Rachel Lehane.

Dublin in
After the
Vikings, the
Normans conquered the city and ruled over it for 700 years and under
King Henry VIII, Dublin became the capital of what was then a
British colony.
Trinity College is Ireland's oldest and most venerable university. It was founded in 1592 by
Queen Elizabeth I. The high standard of education offered here has attracted famous pupils such as
Jonathan Swift,
Henry Grattan and
Samuel Becket.
Dublin's
General Post Office was once the site of an important historical event. Under the leadership of
Padraig Pearse and
James Connolly, around a hundred men occupied the post office and thus began Ireland's struggle for
Independence. In
Easter of
1916, the Irish Republic was born.
Bursting with pubs and music, this most hospitable city is a wonderful combination of lively city life and infectious
Irish blarney!

Ireland is one of
Europe’s most green and mysterious islands and everyone who visits this isolated island in the
Atlantic Ocean is given a very warm welcome.
Dublin is the capital of the
Irish Republic and it is a city of musicians, poets and dreamers, as well as being a financial centre. Its many old buildings indicate its long and dramatic past. It was founded by the
Vikings within a wonderful valley where the
River Liffey flows into the Atlantic Ocean. After the Vikings, the
Normans conquered the city and ruled over it for seven hundred years and under
King Henry The Eighth Dublin became the capital of what was then a
British colony.
South west of Dublin is
Kildare, the heart of Ireland’s horse racing. In 1902 the
Irish national stud,
Tully House, was founded there.
Rich and eccentric
Scottish brewery heir,
Colonel William Hall-Walker, had the idea of a creating unique horse breeding scheme that would be based upon astrological calculation. The
Wicklow Mountains are a natural paradise of mountains, swamps and lakes, beautiful valleys and a fascinating mountain landscape to the south of Dublin.
Jerpoint Abbey near
Thomastown dates back to the twelfth century and is one of the most beautiful Cistercian ruins in Ireland. It was founded in around 1160 by Donal
Mac Gillapatrick, the
King Of
Ossory. The Cistercians built the monastery in characteristic style and one of the stone sarcophaguses is said to contain the bones of
Holy Nicolas who was buried there by the
Crusaders. Although much of it has remained unspoiled, Ireland has undergone much change. It is a land of great natural beauty, healthy commercial success and excellent hospitality: a wild green island set in the wild Atlantic Ocean!

DUBLIN - Irlanda /
Ireland
Oscar Wilde. 19 puentes cruzan el Liffey. El
Kingsbridge es cuadrado, siendo el único en
Europa con esta forma. Muy conocido es también el
Ha'penny Bridge. En esta zona se encuentra el
Italian Quarter y el hotel The
Clarence, cuyos dueños son
Bono y
The Edge del conocido grupo musical irlandés U2.
Book Market el Designer Mart at
Cow's Lane.
Long Room.

Dublin, Capital of Republic of Ireland - Best Travel Destination
Dublin is the capital and largest city of
Ireland. Dublin is in the province of
Leinster on Ireland's east coast, at the mouth of the
River Liffey. The city has an urban area population of 1,
110,627. Founded as a
Viking settlement, the
Kingdom of Dublin became Ireland's principal city following the
Norman invasion. The city expanded rapidly from the
17th century and was briefly the second largest city in the
British Empire before the
Act of Union in 1800.
Following the partition of Ireland in
1922, Dublin became the capital of the
Irish Free State, later renamed Ireland. Dublin is administered by a
City Council. The city is listed by the
Globalization and World Cities Research Network (GaWC) as a global city, with a ranking of "Alpha-", placing it among the top thirty cities in the world. It is a historical and contemporary centre for education, the arts, administration, economy and industry. Dublin is situated at the mouth of the River Liffey and encompasses a land area of approximately 44 sq mi, or 115 km2, in east-central Ireland. It is bordered by a low mountain range to the south and surrounded by flat farmland to the north and west
.[30] The Liffey divides the city in two between the
Northside and the
Southside. Each of these is further divided by two lesser rivers – the
River Tolka running southeast into
Dubin Bay, and
the River Dodder running northeast to the mouth of the Liffey. Two further water bodies – the
Grand Canal on the southside and the
Royal Canal on the northside – ring the inner city on their way from the west and the
River Shannon.
The River Liffey bends at
Leixlip from a northeasterly route to a predominantly eastward direction, and this
point also marks the transition to urban development from more agricultural land usage.
