Shree is a 2013 Bollywood Science Fiction thriller film starring Hussain Kuwajerwala, directed by Rajesh Bachchani and produced by Vikram M. Shah. The film released in India on 26 April 2013.
Shree is a tale of an ordinary man lured in by promises of a bright and successful future, trading in 12 hours of his life.

The Mahant gives Madhu a holy thread to be tied on Hari's wrist to protect him from all harm. Meanwhile, the villagers get angry on Shree for causing havoc in the village as she was scared of a little puppy. Madhu arrives home and faints as she remembers whatever the Mahant has said. Later, she tells about it to the family. They are worried too. Hari thanks Madhu for saving him from getting married. The whole family thinks that it was Hari's plan so that he is not forced to get married. Hari plans to go to Janakpur and does not let Madhu tie the thread on his wrist. Shobha, Narottam's sister gets angry on him for not getting Shree married. She decides to drive away all the fear that Shree feels. Shree asks her father to protect her from Shobha's plans. However, Shobha refuses to budge. The next morning, Shobha makes Shree get up early in the morning to fetch water. Shree is scared as it is very dark outside and runs away screaming. Madhu decides to tie the holy thread on Hari's wrist. A shadow walks into her room. She thinks it is Jigna, the maid and asks her to take the plate of 'Pooja' to the temple. However, when Jigna arrives, Madhu is stunned. Madhu rushes to the terrace and finds the thread hanging on a plant, she tries to get the thread but someone pulls her hand back. Hari arrives there and Madhu tries to tie the holy thread on his wrist. The thread flies away. Hari goes to get it and Madhu hears his scream.

Madhu breathes a sigh of relief when she finds that Hari is alright. However, she is sad that she could not tie the holy thread before sunset. Meanwhile, Shobha, Shree's aunt, gets angry on Shree for being so scared of everything. She feels that the Lord Shiv will get angry on Shree. Narottam says that his daughter is blessed. Madhu thinks about Hari's wedding when she feels that someone is following her. Narottam tells his sister that Shree was scared in an incident when she was a child. Shobha asks him to take Shree to the crazy old lady who will cure her. Madhu gets a nightmare that a spirit is calling out to her. She wakes up and goes out to check the terrace. There she is shocked to see the same scarf that she had seen the spirit wearing in her nightmare. The next morning, everyone takes the matter of the scarf lightly. Madhu hears a woman's voice threatening her that she will never let Hari get married. Madhu gets scared and remembers the Mahant's advice telling her that till Hari gets married to the girl who will protect them, the holy thread will protect Hari. She tries to find Hari but none of the family members have seen him. Daya tells Anant that Hari has left in the morning and has left a letter for them. Hari has written in his letter that he is going to Janakpur for ten days as he does not like that his family worries for him. Madhu is distressed as the Mahant had warned her not to let Hari out of the house without the thread. Madhu calls up Hari and makes him promise that he will wear the holy thread that she will send by post. The spirit causes an accident where the post man falls and misplaces the envelope with the holy thread in it.

Hari finds a bird's nest fallen from the tree. He tries to save the eggs when an old man comes and tells him that he should recognize the signals and beware. He tells Hari that someone does not want to kill anyone but only wants to destroy the family. Hari is taken aback and the old man goes into a house. Hari is further surprised when he is told that there is no old man living in that house. Rajni arrives at the Raghuvanshi house. She is a fearless and talkative girl. Madhu is a little surprised to see Rajni. She asks Sumati why they have not told Rajni about Hari. Sumati replies that they want her to take the decision of Hari's marriage. Hari tries to save the bird's nest but Chotu thinks that Hari is destroying the nest. He gets Shree to hit Hari with a catapult, Hari falls from the tree. Shree runs away as she is scared of Hari. Hari runs after her. Shree falls into the village pond. The evil spirit prevents Hari from saving Shree. However, Hari manages to reach Shree. The Mahant informs Madhu that they will have to stop the evil spirit. He decides to catch the spirit in a bottle, but he warns Madhu that the rituals could backfire too. Madhu agrees and the Mahant begins the rituals to contain the evil spirit.

Shree reaches a deserted village where she sees a little girl jumping into a well. The Mahant does the ritual to help Shree and hopes to catch the evil spirit in a bottle. Meanwhile, Shree finds women calling out to her. Shree is scared as the spirit wants to push her into the well. The spirit pushes Shree into the well. Hari and Nihaal reach the deserted village searching for Shree. They find Shree fallen in the well. Narottam is surprised when he hears the temple bell ringing. The old crazy lady is ringing the bell and prays to Lord Shiv to save Shree. Meanwhile, the Mahant keeps on chanting and performing the rituals to catch the spirit. Hari saves Shree and tries to revive her. Nihaal tells Hari of a hospital in the neighboring village. They take her there. Lappu sees them taking Shree to the next village. Sumati calls on Madhu's cell as they need to talk to her but Madhu cannot pick the call as she is holding the bottle to catch the evil spirit. Hari takes Shree to the hospital but the doctor is not there. He promises Shree that he will not let anything happen to her. The evil spirit loosens the ceiling fan to fall on Shree.

Hari is frustrated that Shree is not accepting his love and neither can he speak to Madhu about it. The crazy woman comes to Hari and makes him realize that he should fight for the thing he loves the most. A little boy finds the bottle in which the evil spirit is held captive. He takes it with him as he sees a tiny yatch in the bottle. Madhu worries as she cannot reach Hari on the mobile phone. She shares her fear with Anant that Hari had called and spoken about some girl. Hari goes to Shree and apologises for holding her hand roughly. He describes how he feels for her and confesses that he loves her a lot. The little boy, who has found the bottle, wants to take out the yatch from the bottle. However, his father who is a priest checks the bottle and throws it into the pond. Hari asks Shree to answer him about what she has felt about him and whom she should marry. Madhu tries to tell Nikita not to hurry a lot about the marriage. Nikita gets angry. Nikita complains to Danny and he decides to take out cards to see if Hari and Rajni will get married. Danny is taken aback when the cards foretell that there are impediments in the marriage. Hari asks Shree to answer his question of what her heart told her. Shree walks away. Hari follows her. Shree says that her heart gives a negative reply. Hari tries to convince her that her heart has the reply to his question.

Narottam begins the community marriage ceremony. Hari remembers Narottam's words that the couple marrying at the ceremony becomes soul mates forever. At the potter's place where the bottle is kept, everyone is surprised when a storm begins to blow. Meanwhile, at the marriage ceremony, the priests ask the grooms to put vermillion on the forehead of the brides to marry them. Hari picks up the vermillion and puts it on Shree's forehead. Madhu arrives there and is shocked. Narottam is also stunned.

Shree 420 (translation: Mr. 420, also transliterated as Shri 420) is a 1955 Bollywood film directed, produced by and starring Raj Kapoor.
The film centers on Raj, a poor, but educated orphan who comes to Bombay with dreams of success. Kapoor's character is heavily influenced by Charlie Chaplin's "little tramp", much like Kapoor's character in his 1951 Awaara.
The film is a collaboration between director/producer Kapoor and writer Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, with music composed by the team of Shankar Jaikishan, and lyrics by Shailendra. The song "Mera Joota Hai Japani" ('My shoes are Japanese'), became hugely popular and a patriotic symbol of the newly independent India.
Shree 420 is the tale of a country boy, Raj (Raj Kapoor), from Allahabad, who travels to the big city, Bombay, by walking, to earn a living. He falls in love with the poor but virtuous Vidya (Nargis), but is soon seduced by the riches of a freewheeling and unethical lifestyle presented to him by an unscrupulous and dishonest businessman, Seth Sonachand Dharmaanand (Nemo) and the sultry temptress Maya (Nadira). He eventually becomes a confidence trickster, or "420," who even cheats in card gambling. Vidya tried hard to make Raj a good man but fails.

Meanwhile, the villagers get angry on Shree for causing havoc in the village as she was scared of a little puppy. Madhu arrives home and faints as she remembers whatever the Mahant has said. Later, she tells about it to the family. They are worried too. Hari thanks Madhu for saving him from getting married. Madhu hears a woman's voice threatening her that she will never let Hari get married. Madhu gets scared and remembers the Mahant's advice telling her that till Hari gets married to the girl who will protect them, the holy thread will protect Hari. She tries to find Hari but none of the family members have seen him. Daya tells Anant that Hari has left in the morning and has left a letter for them. Hari has written in his letter that he is going to Janakpur for ten days as he does not like that his family worries for him. Madhu is distressed as the Mahant had warned her not to let Hari out of the house without the thread. Madhu calls up Hari and makes him promise that he will wear the holy thread that she will send by post. The spirit causes an accident where the post man falls and misplaces the envelope with the holy thread in it.

Hari is further surprised when he is told that there is no old man living in that house. Rajni arrives at the Raghuvanshi house. She is a fearless and talkative girl. Madhu is a little surprised to see Rajni. She asks Sumati why they have not told Rajni about Hari. Sumati replies that they want her to take the decision of Hari's marriage. Hari tries to save the bird's nest but Chotu thinks that Hari is destroying the nest. He gets Shree to hit Hari with a catapult, Hari falls from the tree. Shree runs away as she is scared of Hari. Hari runs after her. Shree falls into the village pond. The evil spirit prevents Hari from saving Shree. However, Hari manages to reach Shree. The Mahant informs Madhu that they will have to stop the evil spirit. He decides to catch the spirit in a bottle, but he warns Madhu that the rituals could backfire too. Hari goes to Shree and apologises for holding her hand roughly. He describes how he feels for her and confesses that he loves her a lot. The little boy, who has found the bottle, wants to take out the yatch from the bottle. However, his father who is a priest checks the bottle and throws it into the pond. Hari asks Shree to answer him about what she has felt about him and whom she should marry. Madhu tries to tell Nikita not to hurry a lot about the marriage. Nikita gets angry. Talk about Shani or Sani to a Hindu and the first reaction will be fear and then the mentioning of ill effects and troubles. Shani is dreaded by Hindus, especially by those who believe in astrology. Many people observe an Upvaas or fast to avoid the adversities and misfortunes on Shanivar or Saturday. It is believed that those who have the blessing of Lord Hanuman are protected from the wrath of Shani. Therefore many people make it a point to worship Hanuman at home or in temples. Black is the preferred color on Saturday.
Shani, one of the Navagrahas, is worshipped in numerous temples and there are also temples exclusively dedicated to Sani. Devotees who are observing Shanivar Vrat usually visit Shani shrines. Black colored items like sesame til, sesame oil, black clothes, and black gram whole are offered to Shani. It must be noted here that the color of the idol of Shani is always black in color.
Those devotees who fast on Saturday only take a single meal that too in the evening after prayers. Food prepared usually consists of sesame til or black gram or any other black colored food item. Salt is avoided by many on the day.
Shani is represented as a deity carrying bow and arrows and riding a vulture. Some devotees worship a black iron idol of Sani. Some worship the Peepal Tree and tie thread around its bark. Black colored items like sesame oil and black clothes are also donated on the day.
Shani is so dreaded that many Hindus avoid journeys on Saturday. There are also numerous tales regarding the evil effects of Shani.
But generally it is believed that Lord Hanuman devotees are unharmed by Sani. Legend has it that Lord Hanuman had rescued Shani from Ravana. This happened during the burning of the Lanka episode in the epic Ramayana. Lord Shani had then promised that he would not trouble Lord Hanuman devotees.
